one of my toy huntin friends is a treasure hunt nut, all the employees at my tru and target cant stand him cuz he will pace by the backroom doors until somebody brings him out hotwheels cases to go through, its hysterical. I found one for him once, and then thought, instead of givin this to him for a buck, maybe I could hock it on ebay and get more! I did, I got a buck fifty for it. are you kidding me???? these guys go nuts for these things, drive all over town, stalk employees, tackle eachother in the aisles, for something they could get off ebay for fifty cents more?? I dont get it, and Im a toy collector for 15 years

I don't care for HW but I do have like at least 50 THs from the past 5 - 10 years, several are doubles. Been waiting for time to organize and sell, possibly as a Lot, although I'd get far less that way. Maybe trading is the way to go?
I should keep track of who collects on here. Super THs are news to me, haven't looked at cars in a year or so. Sound cool, but rubber tires seem useless on something that you wouldn't dare open. |

The most treasure hunts i ever found in a day was 3 at one time. I only have one super treasure hunt because they are even harder to find out in the open! Congratulations on your haul from this Hotwheels collector !

About 7 or 8 years ago, i was collecting hot wheels and stopped by a target on my wat home from work. Headed straight for the toy section. There was a lady stocking toys in the aisle with the hot wheels. As I was looking on the pegs, she said " Ive got some more of those hot wheels in this box if you want to look through these". As I looked down in this box marked "backstock", I about pooped my pants. It was full of nothing but treasure hunts. There were about 23 treasure hunts just sitting in this box. I bought everyone of them. Someone had to be stashing them for some reason. Oh well, once in a lifetime thing. Stopped collecting them awhile back. Still look every once in awhile.

Hotwheels collectors scare me.
I have yet to talk to a store employee that has positive comments on HotWheels people.

I envy you. My father and I are "hunters". You've got 2 I want (The super 55 [pink car] and the rv. I got the super rv and a reg 55 (actually 3, 2 for trades). Got both bikes myself.
One detail I didn't see as I was reading posts is the color stripe on the cards. A treasure hunt has a green stripe running down the right side of the card. It does NOT say super on it, but in "treasure hunts" it DOES have $ for s's (trea$ure hunt$). '08 and '09 are the only years so far with super-hunts (basically a mirror set to the regulars, with different paint and tires). Hunts started in '95, and weren't well known until '96, so anyone with the 95s is very lucky. Last time I had a haul like that was about 97/98. Got 15-20 of 1 hunt from a local Kmart (the only store around, that I know of, that has a "collectors craze day", allowing collectors to go through cases before anyone else). I'm always up for trading for both me and my dad. He's helped me out so much, least I can do for him is try and get cars he needs.
