DO NOT DO IT!!! Dude...I spent two years working on the marvel line of Joe stuff and I totally butt raped a guy out of the last 50 issues for a cool $80. The #155 I got is going to CGC...its perfect. So dont sell man...like waking up to hung over nameless naked fat chick...you will hate your self the next morning.

damn! so far everyone has told me not to!
I think maybe I will keep the Kyle Rayner stuff and just sell the Hal Jordan stuff? As for the rest, the #1's and stuff should I sell seperately? I was hoping I could find a comic book store that might want it but so far nothing!

I have been collecting comics since 1985 and I collected to 2000, I have box loads of the popular Marvel and DC titles and I am just going to offload them to my nephew or possibly a child of my own one day.
However, if you have absolutely no attachment to them, I would strongly suggest you try to find a site like this where you can offload them all in one shot. In your current situation, craigslist may be the best bet for you as most people who use it are local.

Vintage Green Lantern (Silver Age):
Green Lantern / Green Arrow #91 Green Lantern #141 - 143 , #173 -186 , #193, Anniversary Issue #200 Green Lantern / Green Arrow (Denny O'neil and Neil Adams) #1 - 4 Tales from the Silver Age Green Lantern #1 Green Lantern Emerald Dawn #3 Green Lantern Emerald Dawn II #1,2,3,5 Green Lantern 80 Page Giant #1 - 3 Green Lantern / Superman Legend of the Green Flame (Prestige) Just taking a look thru the comics you listed, the above ones would maybe be the only ones worth just about anything. All the 90's stuff you listed is still only cover price (some not even that much). Anything, from any company, that was put out in the 90's is worth nothing due to the large print runs for everything. There is the occassional exception, but they are few and far between. Right now, people are really only buying current issues of stuff, back issues are at a virtual standstill. My advice to you, is to not sell them. You will make pennies to the (cover price) dollar if you do. Unless you just want to be rid of them for space considerations, don't sell right now. Those are Modern Age stuff, and the Denny O'neil and Neil Adams mini is reprints. Unfortunately, I would pass on most of that stuff in 50 cent $1 bins at comic shows. As a comic dealer, I couldn't offer much for your stuff. You can only expect to get 10 to 25% of Overstreet value for anything. Just throw Wizard Magazine out the window. They don't know what they are talking about when it comes to values.......it's fun to read, but very inaccurate as a price guide. My advice is to find a local comic show and set up (probably $50 to $100 just to set up), and sell the stuff you really don't care about for $1 each and the hardcovers and tradepaperbacks at 50% off cover price...............BUT, I would really just hold onto it. You will never get out of it what you paid for it. AND, in my honest opinion, the best comic you own, value wise, is the Deadpool one. My apologies if it sounds harsh, but I've been around this business for over 30 years and it isn't a very profitable one.

same here, only I suggest (if you have the time to wait) that you send the best ones off to get graded...it seems to make a huge difference (acording to the Wizard price guide) then you can try sellin on ebay...im ALMOST to that point, with a baby coming instead of the recording thing (my band mates got a rinky dink studio in his house, and coupled with the fact that we're not TOO serious about it , we dont need the money to have someone produce us) good luck though!
First it costs $20 to $30 each book to get graded, and unless it comes back 9.8, you've wasted your money. However high you think the grade is, you can rest assured that it will come back 1 to 2 grades lower. I had a GI Joe #1 that the CGC guy said was the "best he'd ever seen" and would probably come back a 9.8, only came back a 9.6. Please do not get your books graded.

This is a bit of a last resort but this is extremely important to me and sacrifices must be made-I know I wont get back what I paid for them.

Sorry to disappoint but selling comics right now sucks. I am selling off part of my collection on ebay right now and just getting cover price for stuff is almost impossible. People want the things for nothing. The variants you have are your best bet for some quick cash. If you take the stuff to a store you'll get next to nothing. The only reason I am still selling comics is to pay for my Joe collecting. IF that winds down I'm probably done. I see a lot of what you listed in dollar bins at comic shops. Try again in a few years, maybe there will be more of a market for back issues.
