By the time he had any negative feedback it was already too late for me. I sent my check on 10/8, and prior to that all his feedback was good. When myself and others began raising questions about him in his Feedback thread, a few others said that they had had only good experiences working with him. Maybe he only did a few small deals to establish credibility before making his big score, or maybe he's fallen on really tough times and disappeared. I'm just glad I didn't agree to a bigger deal.
But, yeah, no Paypal will probably be a deal breaker for me in the future unless the seller has a sterling reputation.

Sorry for your loss.
Seems like there are a few douchebags on here that scam. I'm a little afriad to try and buy or trade at this point.

And as a seller it took a while for anyone to actually 'bite', but once they did it has been great!
Just make sure the seller uses Paypal...
Still on the fence about the trade thing though. I'm in the middle of one now. Just sent off my item today... we'll see what happens.

I've been trading all over the net for quite a while. Follow a few rules, and you'll be good:
1. If you're new, trade for a while with established guys to build your re, and be willing to send first. This protects you because when you send first, you'll know the other guy will hold up their end.
2. Once you're established - more than 6 months history, 15+ FB or more - always demand that any newbie send first if they have anything less than the 6 month history or 15+ FB
3. If they're unwilling to send first - even on a purchase - it's not worth the risk
4. Give established dudes time - they're usually just busy, but if they have a solid FB history, they're not scamming you.
5. Don't give unknowns ANY time. The longer you wait to address it, the less likelyhood that you'll recover any loss
6. IF SOME ONE TRIES TO LINK TO ANOTHER BOARD'S FB, send a PM to that user ID, and make sure they are who they say they are on the other board. Learned that one the hard way
7. If it's too good to be true, I guaran-fricken-tee you it is.

I'm sorry that you have to go through such a huge blow. I'm not sure I could handle it. But I do know if I lost one of my kids and my wife I would pretty much want to kill every Mother F**cker that pissed me off. Get Some!

I know he used to be on ADCTalk all the time. I'm pretty sure I bought a bunch of boxed early '00s RAH stuff from him, and the deal went fine.
Looks like he disappeared. I hope it's just some kind of misunderstanding. He seemed like a good guy back in the day.
I'm very sorry for your loss, and I know that it sucks to be taken. Looks like I lost out on a minty fresh Cobra de Aco on Ebay. Man, did I want that figure, too...
