I'm looking to begin restoring a vintage Skystriker in the near future, since that's all the craze these days and since I have a considerably incomplete Skystriker base to begin with that I inherited from my brother. I haven't yet taken inventory on which parts I need, but I was curious before I undertake the process of how hard it is to start obtaining parts and pieces for this thing? I began shopping parts on eBay and was stunned that it looks like every single minor piece is running around $10 to begin with. If that's seriously the going rate to buy individual pieces to complete a Skystriker I may as well sell off the parts I have and just buy a completed one, which looks like they're only going for ~$120.
Anyone help me out?

probably better to just buy a complete one, and restore/clean it.
the canopy and parachutes are going to get you.

I THINK I have a canopy, and the parachutes aren't a must have for me because they are never visible when on display and I'm not really thinking of doing it for re-sell purposes, so I could get away without having them (I knew those would probably run me the most). But when I see $19 for a front landing gear, and $10 for left and right engine doors, $10 per missile, that's insanity! LOL
