A TRU Story.....

Went To TRU this morning to look for more Joes and I came across 3 cases of Vehicles.......I already found one extra case last week that I tried to sale to people on here (thanks for those who got them from me). Anyway I pick up a case again.....not really needed them...but decided to buy them anyway....something inside was just telling me to buy them. I figured someone on here would want them.

I get to the register with the case and I tell the girl up front that if she wants she can take them out and scan them one at a time. She told me "No" she could just use the number on the case. It rings up to $17.39......I was shocked!!! I was standing there thinking to myself should I say Something? I decided to keep my mouth shut........and walked out with 3 xtra free vehicles..............

Im sure someone will tell me off but I dont care.....I feel like I got one
over on the man...........

she's stupid and you're a thief. I wonder which is worse. if the man deserves to be gotten for simply conducting business, providing jobs, and essentially contributing to the economic system that we all have the opportunity to benefit from, what do you deserve for stealing from that system which if everyone did would deteriorate and we would all be worse off for it.

you're proud of your actions, so defend them. don't shy away. actually think and express them.

but, hey, I'm sure you'll find many ignorant people to tell you how great you are, as if what you did was actually different than simply stuffing them down your pants and walking out without paying. the internet - where people go not to meet different people but to meet those who will validate their existing behaviors.

So entirely, absolutely true. You hit some great points, especially the last sentence regarding the internet. I agree 100%

if you simply pick up a bunch of figures and walk out without ever going to a register, is that any different? no, because you are held responsible for your actions independent of what anyone else does. you did the same thing, did not pay for items and walked out with them. the cashier did not know, you did, and that is why you were at fault here because you knew what you were doing - not paying for an item you were supposed to - and decided you would just walk out because nobody will stop you.

by that same attitude, any time you simply steal an item you did nothing wrong because the employees had an opportunity to stop you and did not, therefore you were justified to steal because they were too lazy to pay attention, to stupid or simply did not care. no, that's not how it goes. the crime is on you for your behaviors, not anyone else. only a dishonest person would applaud such behavior. if you are not, we'd all love to hear you defend yur actions. I don't think you can.

Same thing happened to another memeber. He posted it and the good times rolled. Some people said cool others called him a thief. s**t happens, you caught a break. So does this confirm thet the vehicles at TRU are now $17.99 up from $15.99? What did it take a week and a half for them to raise the price......I knew it would happen (just not this quick)

how is stealing catching a break. if you simply stuffed them in your shirt and did not get caught, is that a break too? by your logic it would have to be. of course, your logic absolves people for their own actions and only makes people responsible for something if they got caught. that's a real dishonest point of view to live by. is that what you would teach your children to live by? you made that statement, now defend it and try not to come across as anti-social or a liar.
