I plot/sketch on a combination of red/blue (red usually for the very basic stuff, then blue to define certain details). Sometimes is easier to use a light table to get a very clean line, yes.
Most of the time i do a final drawing on pencil, but not too detailed, usually weapons, features, etc. I leave simple things ling wrinkles on clothes or details like that for inks.
I use microns, they're clean, fast and easy to replace. I might use brushes if i need a particular effect (say black leather, or some dirty texture like dust), and i use a tablet for a digital final cleansing.
Have in mind that having a digital fional work, you can delete completely color, so you can basically draw pretty much everything in red/blue, then ink. That will leave just a quick adjust of colors in photoshop to get a clean looking line ;)
Was looking at your art and I was very impressed with the clean line work. Do you draw in blue pencil then ink over that, or do you do a rough and clean it up on a light table?
What do you ink with- microns, brushes, digital? In particular, the concept Joes you drew- Repeater, Scrap Iron, Mercer, etc.
Any info you can share is appreciated.
