Tom Feister Interview

Newsarama.com : Artist's Alley 3: TOM FEISTER, from Politics to Heroes

I love it when artists I enjoy end up being good people as well. Here's a quick interview I came across on Newsarama with Tom Feister. Definitely worth a read!

Awesome! I had a chance to meet Tom at the Charlotte, NC Comic Con in May before deploying. He is an all around nice guy. I just happened to be in town visiting my parents before flying out over here and decided to stay an extra day before I found out about the Comic Con...anyhow, I took the oppurtunity to take my 5 year old son to our first Con. He had a blast! I had caught a view of GI Joe artwork that Tom had hanging around his booth and stopped by to chat. I honeslty didn't own any of his issues because I had gotten a little lost collecting since spinning up for the deployment but was a big fan of his art. He let me flip through his sketch book and hooked my son up with a larger print of the Snake-Eyes cover he did! That really made my boys day! He was also nice enough to let me get the only copy of a Dukes of Hazzard/General Leeprint he had of a limited run from another convention. I told him about the 1969 Charger that my wife and I are restoring into a General Lee, and asked if he had any prints for sale. He told me that was his last one and to go head and keep it. Heck of a nice guy, Thanks for making our first Comic-Con a great experience Tom!!

I'm curious about this general lee print! I have a 1969 Dodge Charger I use as my daily driver.

I have searched online for a digital copy, but can't locate one. I dont have any pics of it I can send you becasue I am deployed overseas. The print consisted of the General Lee drawn in a diagnol, front driverside shot with Bo sticking his head out the side being chased by the cops. I dont recall if Luke was in the passneger seat or not.

General Lee

Hey guys,
That piece was done as an exclusive print for AdventureCon last year. One of the guests of honor was John Schnider, from Smallville, and the Dukes of Hazzard. Hope you like it.

Here's a link to the General Lee: gatchatom's Gallery
