Hey all!
I'm not the worlds biggest Transformers fan but I recently read a couple of great TPBs. One was Transformers: Generation One Volume 1: Amazon.ca: Pat Lee, Chris Sarracini: Books As well as the second volume. Can anyone recommend a few more gems to check out? |

The Marvel Series are pretty good.
After MArvel Dreamwave made some which were pretty good, but the company fell apart and all the titles just suddenly end. IDW isn't bad, but the timeline is hard to figure without a guide. The reason is because certain books take place at differant times...here's the list.... This is a chronological order of the comics were released. 1-4. Megatron Origin #1-4 5. Spotlight - Blurr 6. Spotlight - Shockwave 7. Spotlight - Jazz 8. Spotlight - Cliffjumper 9. Spotlight - Wheelie 10. Spotlight - Hot Rod 11. Spotlight - Sixshot 12. Spotlight - Ultra Magnus 13. Spotlight - Soundwave 14-17. Infiltration #0-3 18-20. Stormbringer #1-3 21-22. Infiltration #4-5 23. Stormbringer #4 24. Infiltration #6 25. Spotlight - Kup 26-29. New Avengers/Transformers #1-4 30-31. Escalation #1-2 32. Spotlight - Nightbeat 33-36. Escalation #3-6 37. Spotlight - Ramjet 38. Spotlight - Galvatron 39. Spotlight - Optimus Prime 40-43. Devastation #1-4 44. Spotlight - Blaster 45. Spotlight - Arcee 46-47. Devastation #5-6 48. Spotlight - Mirage 49. Spotlight - Grimlock 50-53. Revelation #1-4 (contains Spotlights on Cyclonus, Hardhead, Doubledealer & Sideswipe) 54-58. Maximum Dinobots #1-5 59-62. Drift #1-4 (unpublished) 63. Spotlight - Drift 64. All Hail Megatron #15 65. Spotlight - Metroplex 66-80. All Hail Megatron #1-14 & 16 81. Continuum 82. Spotlight - Prowl 83. Last Stand of the Wreckers #1 84. Transformers #1 85-86. Last Stand of the Wreckers #2-3 87. Transformers #2 88. Last Stand of the Wreckers #4 89-90. Transformers #3-4 91-94. Transformers - Bumblebee #1-4 95-96. Transformers #5-6 97. Last Stand of the Wreckers #5 98-101. Ironhide #1-4 102-107. Transformers #7-12 (#11-12 unpublished) Last edited by Owner of a Lonely B.A.T.; 08-17-2010 at 08:34 PM.. |

the Drift stories are cool but IDw is all over the map with their run on tf and sadly whatever greatness could have been was takena way by useless one shots and impossible to follow stories and time lines. I recommend the marvel and dreamwave stuff.

THe Marvel UK comics written by Simon Furman are among the best Transformers written anywhere. They were collected in trades by Titan a few years back.
There's a list here: Titan Books - Teletraan I: the Transformers Wiki - War for Cybertron, Transformers 3, Toys |

I've been trolling Amazon trying to figure out an order or some sort of pattern to figure what's what. These lists are actually real helpful. Has anyone checked out this "All Hail Megatron" series?

Read it all...likely one of IDW's best series so far.
They haven't really handled the series after that very well, but its getting better. |
