what he said
I actually went back and read quite a bit of the coro and solo comic but it has pretty deep roots, I would statrt with the sinestro corps war trades one and two then rage of the red latern series as well (in the corp and regular GL comic) then move forward through the regular series both GL and corp through to the present. that should get you caught up. or you can just read blackest night and have fun with what is there! by the way they are all really worth readig, some of the best stuff Ive read in years, I used to hate the green latern! |

The GL stuff prior will just show you the origins of the different colored lanterns, but it's not essential reading at all. As for the tie-ins, none of them are essential.

Blackest Night is a great read! I recommend picking up 'Green Lantern' starting with issue #43, and 'GL Corps' starting with issue #38 and then catching up if you can afford it. Thats right when the "Blackest Night" event started. But if you'd rather not get the GL titles.....reading only the main Blackest Night title will suffice. Enjoy!

Blackest Night #1 to 8, in that order
The lead-ins from Green Lantern aren't essential reading and the tie-ins aren't that kind of tie-in. They aren't essential reading to the overall story.

Blackest Night
http://www.dccomics.com/media/specia..._Checklist.pdf http://www.dccomics.com/media/specia..._Checklist.pdf Best I could find. Like I said, it's not essential that they be read in any particular order. It's not one of those crossovers, like Final Crisis, where you start an event in the main book and have to read the crossver to get the rest of the action.
