Marvel all the way ... i have attempted several times on impulse to try to get into DC when there looked to be a story line of interest but it just always comes of as super generic ... granted it may because i have no vested interest in the characters but still ... i didnt when i picked up my first Marvel book either and it still managed to hold my attention.

Always been more of a Marvel guy for sure, but often DC has had some real gems
DC's major characters tend to fall in this "iconic" category to me, where I'm glad they exist, and I love them, but they cannot evolve much without destroying them.
The last few years have seen many characters that did change revert to their classic iconic nature. With the exception of Batman, but he'll be back, and the Dick Grayson version is still very much Batman in character.
Marvel has always affected me with the human element of the major players, since Stan Lee's day. It did run into a huge mess in the 90s with too much craziness though, and I do wish they would eventually take a cue from DC and restore a classic Avengers team. Amazing Spider-man has been very entertaining to me 3 times a week, ignoring the "One More Day" insanity, and I'm so happy to enjoy my favorite super hero again.
DC's Green Lantern stuff has been great though, and their top writers are like encyclopeidias of geek history, so they've been amping up their game quite a bit as Marvel has done a decent job recovering from 90s excess

DC because I just like more of their characters. I also feel lately DC has some better artists, and writers, but I do read two Marvel titles: Daredevil and Spider-Man

DC. And it ain't even close.
Better characters, better writing, no X-Men, less angsty teenage nonsense.
I used to read a lot of both...now I think I'm down to only Punisher on my Marvel pullsheet.
Eh, who cares?

I started out as a complete Marvel Zombie before discovering DC a few years later. Now it's pretty even, but I also read anything from Image, DH, etc.
The top of my stack each week lately is usually Green Lantern, Savage Dragon, and maybe Captain America. I tend to follow artists more than characters as I've gotten older.

I've enjoyed both since I was a kid(the cartoons, comic's, toy's), but then I kinda left the "Superhero World" alone once Star Wars & GI Joe stepped on the scene. Now my choice of Marvel over DC now is mainly becasue of the toys, although I watch both franchises new movie & new cartoon releases. Marvel Universe just blows DC Infinites out of the water, but if DC can get their figures on par with Joe's & MU, then I can see a tie between both DC & MArvel.

I haven't bought a comic book in about twenty one years now. When I was buying I never missed an issue of GI Joe, The Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel Tales, Peter Parker or Avengers. I dabbled in X-Men, Fantastic Four and Iron Man but never really could get into them. The only DC comics I bought on a regular basis was Sgt Rock with the occasional JLA, Batman or Flash depending if the cover looked "cool" or not.
TV wise I never missed Super Friends or Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends so guess you can say I got the best of both worlds.
Toy Wise I feel the need to have every iconic character represented in both DC and Marvel worlds in my collection. I'm always on the search for the perfect Batman or Spider-Man and get downright giddy when oddballs like Black Manta, Shocker, Mr Mytzlplk and Lizard appear on the toy racks.
I'd vote for both if I could I guess.

I'm a marvel nut. Don't get me wrong, DC's a good company, with major characters, but I've always liked the more fanciful stuff. My fav chars are Wolverine, Punisher, and Ghost Rider (and from DC it's Lobo, Etrigan, Bats and Supes). I don't know why, but the Marvel-verse always seemed more interesting to me.
-Transformers classics; Megatron, various voyager and ultra, legends Beachcomber, and any 3.0 past the first 4, minus Rattrap
-various Marvel Legends (some BaFs parts.)
-Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts (for my dad and nephew)
