Did you read GL: Rebirth or the Sinestro Corps War? If not, you should do yourself a favor: Go out and pick up all the GL trade Paper Backs from the last 3-4 years. It has been consistently the best DC book out there and a lot of it has been a build up to Blackest Night. Geoff Johns said that Rebirth was his 'A New Hope', the Sinestro Corps was his 'Empire Strikes Back', and Blackest Night is his really twisted, dark 'Return of the Jedi'. |

$$$$SPOILER ALERT7777
my only concern was the Batman bits. The fact that they just left it as his remains being stolen... makes me wonder if he's really dead. granted alfred was freaking out... but i mean can you imagine if there was and undead black lantern batman at the end of the issue... helll.... on the first page. i dunno. i just thought since he's big three... it was odd how they avoided it. otherwise i thought it was a very good issue and i'm glad i got my ring. |

My thoughts regarding Batman: the body buried was his, though we all know that Darkseid's Omega Ray turned Batman into cave-bat (LAME!). Since Batman is not technically dead (though he would be by now since he's a f$%&ing caveman), he will not return as a Black Lantern... someone will then realize that since Bruce is not a zombie hero, that he must still be alive somewhere! And the hunt for Bruce Wayne will commence.

Read rebirth and read the first 13 issues of GL. Missing 14 and 15 but have 16-44 waiting to be read as soon as I can find those 2 books. It is one of 4 series that I follow monthly. The other 3 being Superman/Batman, New Avengers, and GI Joe.

For all you comic readers out there, if you have not read Blackest Night 1 yet, go out and grab this. I thought this book is an amazing start to what will likely be an incredible 8 books. Was on the fence about getting another book, with comics being $3-4 now, but I am glad I did. I usually let my books back up for months and read them in bulk, but not with this. I can't remember the last time I was anticipating the next issue of a comic.
Always manages it's way to the top of the pile. |

Tim WAYNE (it's not Drake anymore, which always annoyed the hell out of me but that's another story...) is searching the globe for Bruce Wayne.
Superman is on New Krypton, so how would he know that Bruce doesn't show up as Bat-Zombie? Have to wait and see how it works out I guess, if Supes does return to Earth or not. You know, the last time the Trinity (Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman) went away it was that huge event called 52 and Countdown that lead to Infinite Crisis and then to Final Crisis. So why isn't it that big an "event" that the big 3 are missing now (Batman "dead", Wonder Woman I have no idea, and Superman off Earth)?

Sporadic pick-ups: Action Comics, Batman-books... which now that Dick is Batman, it's been far more interesting than it's been in a long time. We'll see though. |

Yeah, my regulars are: GL & GLC, GI Joe (all of them), R.E.B.E.L.S. (because I love to hate Vril Dox), Power Girl, JSA & Star Wars Legacy (which is the only Star Wars book ever worthy of the name).
Sporadic pick-ups: Action Comics, Batman-books... which now that Dick is Batman, it's been far more interesting than it's been in a long time. We'll see though.
