three issues into this new series and not sure how much longer i can take it. i stick with it because im a completest but the script is boring and i really dont care about any of the characters or the situations they get in.
the art to me is just lazy. half the people in the background have no face's. half the time i forget which characters are which because they all look the same. lady jay looks like a dude and i have to remind myself its a woman. this anime style is just horrible. they plaster "the crown jewel of the hasbro universe" all over this thing. is that a jab to hasbro? by putting that on something that is garbage can be implied that are not happy with this change either? i was willing to give the series a try but it's just not meshing well. i do get the mask book, that one i can tolerate but this joe book i dont know. this may be the first time i ever drop a joe book and i've lived through all the past bad. |

are the sales numbers there? i have two friends that own 2 different comic shops and they both told me sales across that line of the joint universe have fallen off big time.
for me one carries the other, art and story. if one is weak the other should make up for it but the art drives me nuts. it's half done. not sure if its that guys style or if idw cant afford someone good. either way if your trying to launch a new world building series everything should be top notch. sadly i'll probably keep buying it but i'll do like i did the latest joe vs tf run and just flip through it and file it away. |

The art is definitely not for me. And I would prefer my GI Joe writers to be interested in guns, military tactics, and geopolitics. Instead of pro-wrestling and fake drama.

you nailed it brother. i now in the letters page they said they are taking cue's from the cartoon.
so your taking cues from the cartoon, completely changed the ages and personalities of the characters and the plot lines are about fighting aliens? soat what point is this gi joe that we all know and love?! |

the new IDW continuity? I literally couldn't get through 5 pages of it. Art is TERRIBLE and the plot... I mean, if there is one, I must not have read enough to get a whiff of it. I actually liked the previous IDW Joes, but this one is just horrid.

I couldn't get past issue one. This writer doesn't seem to know anything about the characters and the art is horrendous.
