Can anyone help me out with what comics have the best issues with Serpentor? Because Hasbro is killing me so bad with their 25th line in figures, I need some kind of positive feedback of Serpentor comics to buy.

Also #50. Then of course the Cobra Civil War series which was 73 through 76. Number 75 had the great cover of Serpentor with the Baroness strapped to the front of his HISS. Those are some of the good ones that come to mind for me.

One of the yearbooks has an amusing story at the end where the Dreadnoks serve Serpentor and Dr. Mindbender pizza and grape soda and Mindbender is appalled but Serpentor remembers the invention of pizza as, I guess, Julius Caesar.
Serpentor's arrival on COBRA Island is memorable also, that's right after his introduction in #49 and #50 but I'm not sure which issue. He knows CC is going to have him assassinated so the transport helicopter nearly runs CC over as it lands then Serpentor hops out and hugs CC and stays attached to his hip so the snipers can't get a clear shot. |

Marvel 76 and DDP 25 were my favorite Serpentor appearances.

Unfortunately, the first few Seprentor issues are his best. It was an interesting idea to have a Cobra leader with actual charisma and comraderie values (like the way he attended to an injured Cobra trooper in Springfield).
In issue 54--almost overnight-- he suddenly became interested in being a sleazy businessman and selling Terror Dromes. http://www.option38.com/comics/gijoe/54.asp

#49 and #50 of Marvel are the only good Serpentor comics

i gotta join the herd in this one.
the origin to the sales of terror domes were good, then the cobra civil war was great. the thing was, they make a great character, then they kill him off. not that he was a great character, but right when they made him better, much better, they kill him. wow. |
