I've read the IDW Declassified series before, and am rereading them after picking up a set on Ebay. In the 2nd issue 3 panels into Short-Fuse's story, I believe that Roadblock and Duke make a cameo. I know they both were cadre at the Ranger School prior to joining GI Joe, and Hawk refers to Duke as First Sergeant. I've never seen this mentioned before, though I'm certain I'm not the first to pick up on it. Anyone else catch this?

It's actually the DDP GI Joe: Declassified series. IDW published them again. And no I never caught it because the DDP stuff never really interested me. Good eye though.

I didnt know idw reprinted those. Good to know, but I'm pretty sure I saw the whole series for $1 a piece in those long boxes in the back of the local comic shop. lol

Sorry - I meant DDP. It's good that IDW has reprinted them though. I liked all of the Declassified stories. It fleshed out a lot of the backgrounds and gave new life to characters nearly a quarter of a century old.

I like IDW's run with GI Joe better than DDP's. I'm trying to get all the IDW comics as they come out. When you posted this I freaked out and, thinking I had missed some issues, and looked it up.

I'd like to get into IDW's run - it looks good. There were some interesting elements to DDP's run (particularly Red Shadows), but overall it was lackluster for me. Especially the artwork, which I'm always fickle about.

The art was the worst, especially in Americas Elite.

funny you bring this up because I just dug out my Declassified comics from their long box with anticipation of reading them again this weekend. I will have to keep my eye open for the scene you're referencing.

I just got mine out the other day to read again! I hadn't made it past issue 1 this time though as work has been pretty grueling. I'll definitely keep my eye out for the cameo. It wouldn't surprise me as Chuckles also makes a cameo.
