Two Unidentified Joes

In issue #1 of the Marvel series, we see a big computer screen displaying headshots of the various Joes, with their names underneath. One clearly sported the name "Shooter" and a headshot of a bald Joe could barely be seen.

It makes me wonder if Hama had plans for such characters or if they were just throw-away Joes, so to speak.

Although the Shooter character was meant to be a joke to the then editor-in-chief of Marvel Comic Jim Shooter, she was made into a character & story told in DD's GIJoe Declassified.

The other character can still be made into a story if they want to.

Y'know..those two other slots may have already been spoken for. This requires some fanboy/No-Prize explainin', but it works...

In issue 144 of the Marvel run, they had a retcon of sorts regarding Snake-Eyes' origin. In it, Wild Bill and Doc rush to Snake-Eyes' aid after the chopper explosion. Now, Bill and Doc weren't part of the team until issue 11. So for years, the unofficial fanboy explanation has been "I guess they were sorta' involved with the team, early on, as back-up or support members. We just never saw them on-camera".

So there ya' go... the two extra slots on that computer screen could have been Wild Bill and Doc.

If you want it to be Wild Bill and Doc, then it is. Otherwise, it's a fan-fiction tale best left UNTOLD.

And you can go even further...

The screens the woman was sitting in front of spanned the entire wall... there were spots for many more characters.

I always thought the one above her finger was Gung Ho, since the head looks bald-ish.
