Just wanted to know who has read this series and if you think it's worth buying. The plot summaries at yojoe seemed fairly interesting but there's no way to be certain without seeing some previews of the script and artwork. Anyone feel the series is worth reading? Not worth it?

Yeah, its definately worth buying and reading, its a great origin story for Snake Eyes and it shows you part origins of Stalker and Storm Shadow's past and Cobra Commander's past. Its well worth the money to buy.

I heard good things. I'm still trying to hunt this down myself. Although I'm not hunting to hard right now...but I'll pick it up on Amazon someday.

Definitely a very good story. A couple of issues are even drawn by new full-time Joe artist Robert Atkins.

It's a good read, covers a little of what we see in Marvel's issues 26-27 and a few later on...
My only gripe was seeing Snake Eyes talking... he's always been silent to me in the past, even despite his "Scarlett" when she was in the hospital. Even though he was fully capable of talking before his accident, it was still weird to see him talk. PS, click my ebay avatar and pick this series up for cheap! <----------------

no. at least not until it's reprinted and cheaper. almost all of it is lifted practically word-for-word from marvel issues. a scene at the beginning with snake eyes at the dinner table and all of issue #2 are all that are actually new. and issue #2 may be the most moronic g.i.joe story i ever read in my entire life, even counting that stupid comic that came with the new tripwire.

All the declassified series are fantastic! They were obviously done by experts who knew the storyline and the intricacies of the plot. The Dreadnoks Declassified is also fantastic!
