Devil's Due published G.I.Joe: Declassified starting in June 2006. This three issue, bi-monthly series featured Larry Hama's return to G.I.Joe comics and focused on the G.I.Joe team before Marvel's Issue #1.

All three issues were released with a cardstock cover, with a higher cover price ($8.95) and inspired by original G.I.Joe package art.
The first issue also had two other alternate covers, a 2006 Convention exclusive and a YoJoe.com Exclusive cover. 2006 Convention Exclusive comic, limited to 250 YoJoe.com Exclusive Cover, limited to 1000. Scarlett learned martial arts starting at age 9, went to collage at an Ivy League school, she passed the bar and became a lawyer, she entered the Army, proved herself in combat, went to FBI Academy and was sent on an undercover mission against a pre-cobra Destro. General Austin and General Flagg proposed her to Hawk, who then recruited her onto the GI Joe team.
One-shot, 48 pages, 4.95 cover price. Scarlett tells Snake-Eyes' her story on the Staten Island Ferry. This takes place in G.I Joe Declassified #1 Scarlett's martial arts background is clarified. Scarlett's difficulties with her sister are clarified. Stalker and Hawk recruit her into the GI Joe team. |

Zartan discovers his name, brokers a deal with a pre-masked Destro, gets Buzzer into the Australian motorcycle gang the Dreadnoks, is a traitor to the Russians, recruited by Cobra Commander to kill Snake-Eyes, discovered by the Russians and put through a French genetic procedure called "Project Chameleon".
