What are the hardest to find G.I.Joe comics.
I have all of americas elite. All of Frontline and most of the arah one from like 2000. - I'm only missing a couple of those, but i've seen them out, so thats just my laziness but I've heard 155 of marvel was a bizznatch to get ahold of, anything else going to give me trouble?

I have a complete Marvel run and had the most difficulty getting #90 - #130ish. This was a few years back and I wasn't as internet savvy as I am now, so whether my difficulties reflected the rarity of the comics or my poor searching abilities I don't know.
I thought getting #1 - #20 might be hard, but that too was relatively easy (my issue #2 is only a 2nd printing though!) I do know I got #155 very easily (again, a few years ago)

GI Joe Special #1 (the McFarlane drawn cover) was tough for me. #155 will continue to be tough. I got lucky with mine. I am still collecting all the mulitple covers of the DD run. It was a nice novilty at first, but pretty soon just about every issue had an A, B or C cover, and I absolultely hated the dealer incentive issues.

#152, 154-155 are the hardest for me to find and the kicker is that I had 155 once and my dog chewed it up. I've also heard the Special #1(which is actually just a reprint inside of another issue) is hard to find due to McFarlane's work on it. I traded mine last year.
If I could find those last 3 then I would be complete. |

I could never find a 155 for a reasonable price.....luckily I was hooked up from a friend with entire run on cd so I no longer hunt to complete my Marvel run. I have most and I have all of the trade backs that were put out...here's to hoping Hasbro finishes those out 51 through 155.

I have a complete marvel run and had to pick up 155 on ebay some years back but paid a heavy price. The special #1 issue is also hard to find and more costly than 155 but i found my special #1 in store and only paid cover price. I also have most of devil due's image transformers and a bunch sigined by blaylock/hama issue #1 and michael zeck and john beatty on image issue 21.
I need another large comic box.

What is a #155 going for today??
When I got back into Joe with the 25th anniversary I found my comics ( i have a good portion of them, not all)... and most importantly I found my issue #155. I never read it, it's in perfect condition. I even had the forsight as a kid to buy it and just put it away.. |

Most of the later issues of the Marvel run will bring some leg work. Not really rare just that the decline was starting to spread. Most of those comics (130ish to the end) were returned to the publisher for credit due to lack of interest and sales. The earlier issues are easier to find only because thousands were published and bought during the heyday (and later sold to comic stores, etc.)

Depends on if you want a price guide price or E-bay price. There are differences, especially on E-bay. I forget what Wizard and Overstreet have it for.

Issue #109 has been the pain in my side. I was missing 69 issues of the marvel run when I went to con.. now I am missing roughly 30. My main search was for #109 though and again I ended up empty handed.
I remember buying the Special #1 with the McFarlane cover as well as #155 at retail. oh so long ago..
