Anyone here ever order trom toyrocket.com? I was thinking about placing a pre-order there, and was looking for any feedback from those who have done business there.

there was a big thing about a month or two back
they have filed for bankruptcy, Im not sure what chapter.. thought it was 11 which basically puts them under protection of creditors or something... but Id advise staying away from them as a lot of tankers got letters from the companies lawyers i believe informing them of the bankruptcy and they were basically told they may not get there stuff. Sam would know she got one of those letters talk to her

My personal experience was that I pre-ordered the Stinger and FLAK Cannon sets. Later, I got a letter about the bankruptcy. I tried e-mailing several times with no response. I then put a charge back on my credit card, and the next day my order was being prepared for shipment. I did get my order in just fine in the end, but IMO I would never order from them again.

I would highly suggest steering as clear as you can from ToyRocket.com.
I have never personally dealt with them, so my commentary isn't meant to defame them in any way. There have been too many Tankers who have had issues. This thread is being merged with the ToyRocket thread already in progress. |

[QUOTE=strike-hard;918986]I'm not surprised.
First off, I know James (Owner TR), and have done business with him many times, face to face, and have also been to his warehouse on a few occasions. Let me clear up a few things. First - James is a great reputable guy, a loving husband, and a proud business owner. [QUOTE] This is kind of funny considering everyone says toyrocket went under because this guy was cheating on his wife and kids on the premises with a much younger employee. Supposedly there was even an apartment set up in the back of the warehouse with an air mattress so they could have sex after hours. Plus this guy took pre-orders for Comic-Con exclusives he never intended to fill right before filing bankruptcy. A convenient way to grab a bunch of money and then not have to pay it back. I think it's obvious what kind of guy this dude is. |
