Mods if this is in the wrong place please move it.
I have seen a number of tankers post about Toyrocket and having problems becasue they may have placed orders with them and now Toyrocket has filed for bankruptcy. There are things you can do that may help you get some of your money back. Having worked a lot of years in retail I learned a few things sbout retailers and bankruptcy. Bankruptcies have to be filed with the state in which a business is licensed/listed. This comes under the oversight of the state's attorney general office. Each state's attorney general's office has a website, usually somewhere under a state.gov listing. Usually when a business files for bankruptcy there is a claim period in which anyone who is owed money by them can file against the company. This includes consumers who are due money from refunds/canceled orders. So check the attorney generals office of the state in which ToyRocket is based. You may be able to file a claim with them and potentially get some of your money back. |

Accoring to Toyrocket:
Chapter 11 Bankruptcy is for corporate restructuring. We are still in business and will still be shipping pre-orders as they ship in. Otherwise, customers can request a cancellation and will receive a full refund. |

I believe this sort of thing can be settled through the Credit Card company (assuming a Credit Card was used), Give them a call and explain the situation.

I am inserting my foot in my mouth right now!!! I just got off the phone with Toyrocket. The guy I was talking to was real nice and he said that my orders are still standing. As far as the sets go, he said it would probably be week before they recieve any and it would not be long before I get them in the mail. I asked him about the letter, and he said that Toyrocket WAS going to file for bankruptcy but the owner decided against it due to profits. To be honest, I have no idea what he means so if anyone could explain, please do. Anyways, I am not so peed off as I was before.
1. venders caved and worked a deal with toyrocket to avoid bankrupcy thus not affecting profits 2. the high cost associated with filing didnt make sense vs working with the vendors to pay the dues (leading to above). 3. they realized there reputation was going in the toliet and a major decline in sales once this hit the web (overall affecting future expansion and future buisness) thus leading to number 2 which lead to number 1. thats my guess,
