this site is growing and it is huge. props to destro and the others who made that happen. that said i think we need a seperate section (like another well known board has) to post when trades/ transactions go bad. this way it is easy to find and the community can be informed. A good example is a member posted a thread appologizing because he shafted some on deals. guess what? i guarantee no one knew about this because he was never outed in a way that we would see. granted ill give that person props that he is making amends. however as many of you know most dont. they come back under a diffrent name and continue. right now all we have is what amounts to a sub thread that is burried in the buy sell trade section. ive brought this up to a mod and was told to the best of my recolection is there is no need for one. but i feel with a communtiy this big it would be nice for us to be able to easily call someone out who may be scamming others that others will be able to see it.
anyways if you like this idea please post here. im hopping with enough member support this section can be made.

Right. There's already a thread posted for bad traders AND another thread for bad eBayers.
Jase, next time, just ask me. :P |

but ciad no one can see it easily. its burried with 40,000 for sale threads and such. this is why i think a seperate section to post when a transaction goes bad that is only for that (not a sub thread under 40,000 for sale posts or 50,000 auction posts) is needed. even if its a he said she said if a thread is started and you got 4-5 members all saying someone is not doing there end then it gets recognized. this has helped at the other place to bring out when people are not being honest and i just feel with a community this big it would be benificial to protect everyone.

I don't know if we neccassarily need a specific thread about bad trades or not. I'm sure the Mods already have a difficult enough time as is it is.
But I don't think members who have a history of bad trades should be able to wipe the slate clean just by changing their name ( especially if their history indicates blatant and multiple attempts to rip people off in the first place or that their SPOUSE settled all the disputed bad trades.) How are people suppose to get a true measure of their feedback? Last edited by mswi; 04-02-2009 at 10:48 AM.. |

i'm in for this. i can't keep track of everyone here, and i think at the very least those with a bad history should have a warning under their avatar.
