I have this pending for some time, so i was looking on the forum but couldn't find where to put it.
Some months ago, i bougth online a 25th Scarlett through this website, where they claimed it would come with free shipping, mistakenly i put my own adress (i live in perú) but later after waiting some weeks and not receiving such item, i contacted the seller, and was told that they didn't shipped outside the US withouth a shipping fee (wich is logical) so i replied them and told them to send it to my sister's adress (she lives in the US) wich they said, it was ok. Never received the item, send them mails, and haven't received a reply. I have bougth on ebay many times, and always have received my items and the vendors have been really helpful, but this time, i feel like i was ripped off. -If the moderators want to move this to other part of the forum or feel this doesn't belong here, i apologize. |

Sounds like a clerical error of some sort. Have you tried calling them?
It is probably an honest mistake that can be resolved.

I have heard Peru does not allow toys to be shipped there. I don't know if that was a problem.

Here is what the USPS says is not allowed to be shipped to Peru (according to what Peru has told the USPS):
Accessories and personal items. Agricultural pesticides containing active ingredients (ethylene dichloride, ethylene oxide, monocrotophos). Arms and munitions including spare parts or other accessories and components. Artificial flowers and interior ornaments. Cartographic and geographic texts, books, floppy disks, video cassettes, and any medium containing a distortion or misrepresentation of the Peruvian national territory and its borders. Ceramic products and imitation jewelry. Cigars, cigarettes, and tobacco. Coins; banknotes; currency notes (paper money); traveler’s checks; securities payable to bearer; platinum, gold or silver, manufactured or not; precious stones; jewelry; and other valuable articles. Clothing, accessories, and underwear. Communist propaganda. Contraceptive products, remedies, or apparatus. Drinks manufactured abroad under the brand name “Pisco.” Electrical household appliances. Footwear, shoes, boots, and accessories. Furs and clothing made of fur. Gloves and hosiery. Household articles of iron, steel, copper, and aluminum. Household linens. Lighters. Organochlorinated pesticides and their derivatives and components. Perfume products or soaps. Perishable infectious biological substances. Playing cards. Pyrotechnic products. Radioactive materials. Samples of cigars, cigarettes, and tobacco. Sound recorders and reproducing devices. Textiles and carpets. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Toys and dolls of all kinds.! Toys known as “Yoyo Loco” or “Yoyo Chino.”!!!!!!!!!!!! Travel articles, suitcases, attache cases, kits, or similar articles. Used clothing and shoes. Used tires. Waxes and creams for shoes. Wooden utensils. Peru I believe Italy and maybe other countries have the same restrictions.

I've ordered from them a few times, and they're easy to work with. Call them (their number is all over the site and easy to find) and I'm sure they'll sort it out.

I have shipped to toys to Peru with no problem, it just seems to take an insane amount of time to get there, but it does always get there.
However if you know there is a restriction in your country regarding shipment of toys, it is not the sellers fault. You should know what can be sent to you, the seller doesn't live in your country and keep up with your laws. But as a buyer who lives there, you should know the laws. Sellers can NOT keep up with every countries restrictions if they ship worldwide. I have bought from joeparts.com before and he's an outstanding guy to buy from, never a problem. If you haven't tried called him to work this out it's not fair to post publicly and bash him he may not be aware of the situation |
