That's an amazing Joe display, but I'm even more impressed by the Frank Cho art, you don't see many people with that. How'd you get that?

That's an amazing Joe display, but I'm even more impressed by the Frank Cho art, you don't see many people with that. How'd you get that?
The art panel I got from him several years ago. I met him at the Baltimore Comic Con back when it was held at a hotel. I drove from Michigan to see him and Adam Hughes. Hughes had food poisoning and I was so disappointed. I talked to Frank at the beginning of the show and asked him for a sketch, he agreed and I left him my sketchbook.
I went back at the end of the day, and he didn't have anything done for me...he wanted to know what my hurry was, and I explained to him the situation and how I had to be back at work on Monday. He asked me for my address that he would send me something....just give him some money to ship it to me, so I did.
A year went by and I hadn't received anything, and I felt bad because my favorite artist had seemingly let me down. Around that time, I learned that he was going to be at the Motor City Con that was coming up in just a couple of weeks. I wasn't going to hold any grudges and I planned on getting my Liberty Meadows issues that came out in the year.
A week before the MCCC, I got a package in the mail from Frank with that Brandy panel with a not saying that the note to send me something had fallen behind some files and he had found it while cleaning. When I saw him at the show, I had told him what happened and he drew the Oscar for me and a thumbnail on that issue.
I've since had the panel and the comic it's from framed. A friend that is a comic store owner has offered me $7k for it, but I just can't bring myself to sell. I feel like I'd be taking advantage of Frank.

The paint was like that when my wife and I bought the house 13 years ago, and we left it like that. I originally had a Star Wars collection in the room that looked pretty much the same way, but I got dis-enchanted with Star Wars and the figure shenanigans and sold them all to focus on Joes.

Thanks. You guys are too kind.
I have so much more to take pictures of and alot more stuff to even display.
My wife deals so much of my stuff, I'm not sure why she's put up with me for so long. 13 years.

The clear boxes are 200 count sliding card boxes. I used to own a comic shop, and I bought those for Magic and football cards and realized they would make good risers to put figures on. I will sometimes use baseball cubes or 100 count card boxes. They work great.
Those boxes in front of the windows are gonna fade. Trust me on that.
I only put them up there for the pictures. That's stuff I need to open yet. Thanks for the advice though, I do appreciate it.
Amazing collection!
Thanks boomer.
