This thread is for custom file cards. Please share yours.

(my apologies if this doesn't belong in this section, but made most sense at the time, since most of this is 'fiction' and doesn't 'really' pertain to custom figures of the sort)

So just recently discovered joecustoms.com personal file card maker. JoeCustoms.com > Filecard Creator (http://www.joecustoms.com/filecards/filecards.php)

it's not as pretty as the real thing, but it's still pretty simple and sweet.

so made a custom pic(recipe: Lift-ticket, Cobra Officer and photoshop)

and made a personalized file card.

I'll do a few I uploaded now...I really have so damn many if I did them all it would dominate the thread and people will get bored reading this many cards...basically I take repainted figures and provide them new character identities and such...so here's the Anti Venom Task Force.

How are you getting more than 4 pics up at a time OOALB.A.T.?

I forget how many versions of the same damn figure they made. Nice filecards. I wish Hasbro would go back to the original style. The new ones are throw aways.

If I could ask them to add one thing back to the cards, it would be birthplaces. I feel its a crucial aspect which attracts fans to certain characters, who are otherwise insignificant.

If no one minds a newbie butting in, I actually had a couple of these on hand—hacked up mostly for a somewhat horrifying crossover story series I've been writing. (Some of the in-jokes and references are even MORE horrifying):D

Well, here's a few I made for some customs and for RoC Beach-Head (a figure I liked very much, but did not look like Beach-head to me). Most of them are just updates of existing characters for my custom Special Forces team. I just tried to be a little more intentional about their military qualifications, etc. Hope y'all like them.

When I first saw the preview pics of that figure I had 2 thoughts...
1. That head does NOT look like Beach-Head.
2. Those pants are SCREAMING Tiger Force!

The conclusion was Sabertooth. I always regretted that we never got that figure. It would have been cool to have a character that was specific to the sub-team.

No I wish I had all those figures.

In most cases I try to use pictures from package art and modify it in some way.

In cases where I used the names like Freight or Cool Breeze its me trying to loop some characters that never made it into the 3.75 scale in some way.

But mostly this is just me finding some way to expand my Joeverse by taking repaints and making them new characters.

This all came about from the TRU Crimson Guard Firefly's....I HATED them. But in that hatred something odd occured to me....why didn't I hate Wreckage? I mean its the exact same mold in differant colors.

The answer became clear I don't hate Wreckage for the same reason I don't hate Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp....their new characters.

So I just started giving repaints new names and new back round stories.
Works pretty good.

Yeah, I'm always REALLY pumped about NEW characters... even if their molds aren't great, I'm just glad to get new members.
