Hi. I wanted to make the AoCI Wet-Suit figure a little more ARAH accurate. I've replaced the lower legs w/ those from a Viper and I plan to switch the arms w/ something short-sleeved. I also need to add a helmet (most likely from a Cobra EEL but maybe ROC Flash).

Anyway, can anyone suggest a good paint (or mix) to match the the blue, white, and orange on this figure? Thanks!

No help with paint as i am not that far yet with mine, but i used the resolute Duke helmet from the resolute 5 pack, it most resembled the helmet from the the ARAH line, unless another tanker had something better.

I actually thought about maybe that one too, thanks!

The Roc flash helmet works great. For mine, I just replaced the lower arms with Roc Hawk and sculpted that roll just below the knee.

Painting wise, the tealish blue looks similar to a model master acrylic called hellblau(some German spelling) and I believe its the 78 one. I don't think its 65 because its too pale.

Have a ROC Flash helmet for my Wet Suit. Not painted yet, but the other parts I ended up using were ROC Hawk arms, ROC Eel lower legs & feet with Viper knees, & ROC/POC Whiteout's head. Painting the upper half of the Flash helmet is the only painting I'm planning to do on mine.

Honestly I liked him better with Flint lower arms, & CM hands, but the Whiteout head was too perfect AND fit under the ROC Flash helmet. So had to use the ROC Hawk arms to match the Whiteout head's skin tone.

I'm still hoping to find someone willing to paint up a helmet for me for Wetsuit. :( I just used Flint arms and I can't remember what hands and the lower legs were Viper's with Wetsuit's feet.

Here's a picture before I changed his hands to fleshtone. I also used Tomax's (or Xamot's) wrist communication type piece.

Hoping someone is willing to paint up a helmet that would work for me...haha.

Broken Arrow has a custom figure with the classic helmet.

I don't know if he sells the helmet separately though.

Nighthawk: how well does the vintage flashlight color match the AOCI accessories?

I actually never noticed, so I'm guessing it matches really well. If anything, it might be just a tad lighter (or yellower). However, I don't believe it's noticeable.

This is the only other picture I have of it:

I think it matches quite well. Like I said, I never really noticed it, so I guess that's a good thing.

please PM me as to how do you switch knees, I want to change out my WS legs to resemble yours but have no Idea how to swap knees.

Thank you! I'll be picking up some of that!

Yaknow, I think I'm gonna have to start leaning this way too as far as the helmet. Thanks!

Wow! That's pretty badass but also out of my price-range. Thank you though!

PM sent.

-Anybody try Tamiya Brilliant Orange paint? I'm thinking about giving that a try...

I used the ROC eel lower legs with Viper knees. For the lower arms, I used Cobra flint with Croc master hands. No painting required.

For the Helmet, ROC Flash has the best one IMO. I used Tamiya Flat Yellow, White and a tiny tiny drop of red...its hit or miss. Luckily, mine came out exactly the same.

I thought of doing that too, but was too lazy to swap knees. I've done that for my Slaughter custom though cause I wanted both his knees to have knee pads. I just heat up the knee in hot water and push out the pint that holds the knee to the lower leg and then switch the knees and then push it back in. It takes a little finesse to get it in properly and hook up on both sides. You just have to remember that one end is bigger than the other end. The bigger part is on the inside of the leg and you push it in from there.
