That was a pretty cool poll on the Joe and Cobra costumes.

Overall the characters are well accepted. The exception being Destro and Breaker, and I love Breaker's look.

I'm not sure what everyones problem with Destro is, I think he looks fantastic and sinister.
I love the cast actually, screw everyone else, I think they've got some fantastic actors in there and I rate the cast highly :)

Popularity ratings based on one image? That would be like me showing a stranger the bright green FIREFLY figure from the classic ARAH line, not mentioning his earlier & cooler grey camo outfit, and saying "rate this guy".
If people honestly though that DESTRO would spend the entire movie in a metal mask then they were doomed to be disappointed from the off.
Never mind how the producers would convince any actor of merit to do that, in the 'real world' I don't think it would be successful and might draw the odd unintentional chuckle from the audience.

Plus it is impossible to characterise someone who wears a mask throughout the movie...the audience need to see facial expressions etc or else it just wouldn't be a good movie...

I disagree. Hugo Weaving managed to do it for V for Vendetta. I wasn't even expecting Destro to never take it off, just leave it on most of the time. As in whenever anyone BUT the Baroness were to see him. Besides, leaving it on 24/7 would just beg for nasty bacteria and general stinkiness. ;)

The lack of the mask most likely.
