Tankers, grab those parts bins, it's time to create a Custom & Win!

The Back story:

As you are all aware, Doc has been taken hostage. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make a custom figure (faction of your choice) that will either help Rescue Doc, or help punish him for joining the wrong team!

The Rules:

*You must be a member in good standing here on the Tank.

*Your custom must be, at the very least, 80% comprised of 25A parts.

*The contest will run through June 30th, giving everyone enough time to get there submission in!

The Staff will pick the top 3 Finalists. Then YOU will vote and decide who wins!

Now, on to the fun part - The Prize!

The grand prize winner will receive the Mail In DOC (Donated by DESTRO) your character helped rescue/capture!

Wow, so a mail in exclusive that isn't available anywhere outside of the US, and is only NOW getting to collectors is "a little lame"?

Ditto Destro... A mail away exclusive is lame? For those that don't have Battle Points to get the extras or don't want to spend the cash to get some extra 2pks and are only able to get one... I'd say this is pretty nice. I wouldn't mind another one.

Cut the kid (crazyfellow1) some slack he is 15 I'm surprised he is even collecting Joes there is really alot of other things for his age group to do than collect toys from the 80's. I think its cool that the younger gen. is into G.I. Joe

It's a bit shiny......

I used a VvV Dusty helmet, dremeled breaker's head, broke him and put on cobra officer arms, cut the gun holster off his web gear, glued it to his left leg, and then reassembled and painted him.

I was merely using over the top sarcasm... note the ':p' at the end. And hey, I'm glad he's collecting. Kids through the 90's had crap for toys. Thank god Beast Wars TFs came out because toy collecting was akin to a nuclear wasteland back then. I was thrilled as hell to see Joes were coming back!! I was 7 when the first wave of the RAH line came out... Joes and Transformers were a huge part of my childhood. Kudos to him for collecting and staying out of trouble. Just do me a little favor and be a little more gracious for someone going out of their way to set something like this up AND putting up their own stash for a prize.

I think it is great Destro is giving something away and Doc is a fine prize in my opinion. I just didn't think his reply was that hurtful to anyone on here and I realize you were being sarcastic but I don't think crazyfellow1 did and I just don't want to see anyone discouraged from this site or from collecting Joes especially the younger generation it is pretty cool for them to get into Joe.

We grew up in the heyday of the Joe world with the great comic, cartoon and Joes always on the pegs. They have empty pegs a crap Sigma 6 cartoon. They did have a decent comic but nowhere near the comic we had. So it is just a surprise when younger people enjoy G.I. Joe with little else to influence them other than maybe older relatives or friends.

already started. i have 2 docs coming, but i'm not doing this for the prize. i've been debating on some customs since last year. this is a perfect excuse to get at it.

these customs are pretty awsome, but i think i may have interpreted the back story wrong.

i was under the impression we had to make a NEW character, or new version of a character. specifically meant to be a part of the "rescue doc" story, not just make an updated 25th version of a figure we'd like to see. If thats the case, do we get brownie points for creating a whole new character? lol

I agree...Not only that, but the learning experiance. I'm new at the custom thing, and I would love to see the best of the best and see what I can do to compare, and see where my own skizzizzys lay compared to them.
