What's your favorite 3/34 box art?

I recently picked up a lee's toy review mag and it had a guide to the 82-88 vehicles and playsets and it got me thinking about this. I thought It would be a good topic for you guys to chew on.

Here are my favorites by category=

figure =

vehicle = 85 snow cat (great use of characters that were perfect for an arctic mission)

small vehicle = 85 ferret (storm shadow and firefly.....on a 4 wheeler.....somebody was going to die!)

battle station = 86 outpost defender (great action scene with low light and dial-tone)

playset = 86 terror drome (so much going on in this one, it's just great!)

There's quite a few that come to mind. I'd definitely agree with the ferret, terrordrome & defiant...

LOL yeah good call on the wolf, come to think of it croc master was also on the maggot box art operating heavy artillery! The guy could do it all i guess.
Also for comedic value would be the 88 mini-vehicle packs (i.e. atv, tank car, rocket sled)

Yeah, the night landing is very cool, but I like then VAMP artwork the best- you can really feel the speed on that thing.:D

I can't pick one...they ALL tell a story, most of them tell a different story every time I look at them.

I really enjoy the box art on the 25th 5 packs...that thing holds my attention for a long time.

Wow talk about an oldie-goldie thread!

The water moccassin is another absolute classic! I think my favorite vintage single card would have to be Mutt and Junkyard. I remember thinking how scary junkyard looked and it's a great pose for Mutt. I'm also partial to Firefly and Flint's. So much greatness!

when i was a kid i liked all the joe art that came with animals snake eyes/timber,mutt/junkyard,dusty/sandstorm,crocmaster,shipwrek/polly, law/order, voltar, spirit/freedom.

I think just about every vehicle box art with the explosion background is awesome. They are exciting and kick-ass. Someone mentioned Nightlanding, I agree, Firefly looks like he's really up to some dark, top secret mayhem.

figure = Firefly, cause he's my favorite.

vehicle = 1984 Water Moccasin, Cobra Commander, and the water craft are among my favorites.

small vehicle = The Fang (nothing like classic Cobra)

battle station = Cobra Bunker, Destro and the Crimson Guard make the cover.

playset = 1985 USS Flagg Aircraft Carrier (The most Patriotic Cover Art I can think of....A giant ship cutting through the ocean with Sky Strikers taking off its deck, all set against the background of the Explosion back we all know and love).
