I have used Ebay since day one and I am not that thrilled with it but you have to admit in its day it was pretty darn good for finding things you couldnt find anywhere else. Then came craigslist and the more and more I look the less I want to. Now because people are fed up with Ebay they figure they can go to CL and post for free. The problem is like with Ebay now, everybody thinks they have something somebody else is willing to pay big $$ for. I have seen several posts where people think they have a winner and try to come off as an expert (talking about collectible toys) and try to sell for some extremely insane amount of money. Then when you ask them about it they know nothing. Where can a guy or girl go to find what he/she is looking for with out idiots trying to make $$ out of nothing???

I think what you're trying to do is buy HTF or rare figures and hang the moral and ethical "code" over peoples heads to get what YOU want.

...That was rude and uncalled for Storm Shadow....
He never stated what it was he was trying to buy, so give him a little credit, eh?

I never said anything about buying HTF or rare figures. I was just curious as to where people go when they cant find what they want/need on ebay or CL now that everybody is trying to retire off of what they are trying to sell. I have many outlets to get what I need. So unless something is said directly do not assume you know what someone is trying to communicate.

ya ebay is to crazy these days they got thier hands in everyones pockets...
I think the secret is....
List it for a cheap price...
then jack the shipping up as high as possible :D
so if you have a 100$ item you list it for .99 cents.
then you charge 109.99 for shipping and handleng.
is this doable?
I mean it makes sense to me... becauseyou have to pay a listing fee and final value fee..... and who wouldnt pay 3% of .99
stick it to ebay!
is this even possible or am I wrong in trying to find a way to scam the system?

You can still get deals on eBay, you just really have to go through a ton of listings to find a decent price.

Let the market level it self, it will happen once the hype about an item ends. People will realize that they won't sell the items for what they expected and so they will lower the prices.
