I'm trying to complete a diorama of "Sunbow-correct" Cobra troops. Could you guys help me out with this list of Cobra soldiers/special troopers that made an appearance in the cartoon (not DiC though). The timeline is from the MASS Device to the (animated) Movie.

Here's my partial list:
Cobra Trooper
Cobra Officer
Crimson Guard
Cobra Diver (red)
Cobra Eel
Snow Serpent
Tele Viper
HISS Tank Driver

Cobra Viper
Air Viper
A.V.A.C.
B.A.T.
Motor Viper

Any others? Don't include troops from the Marvel Comic. Thanks.

Strato vipers were in the episode "In the Peesance of Mine Enemies" (including the female Strat named Raven) I am looking up the others as I know i have sen them in the cartoon at some point.

Cobra La guards were in the movie.

The Space Troops from MASS Device were called:

Cobra Shock Troops

Others not on the OP's list but in the Sunbow cartoon (Most of these never had a figure made of them. There could be more, I just haven't gotten through all of season 2 yet)

Cobra Ninja
Cobra Pilot
Cobra Trainee
Female Cobra Soldier
Female Tele-Viper
Lamprey
Snakeling
Viper Pilot

the sunbow correct term is "stratoviper."

it is also 35%-45% of a cooler name than air-viper.

Thanks.

Why not Dic?

Yeah, Operation: Dragonfire had that sweet Janitor Viper. I want a custom of him.

And as far as Cobra Troops go, the Sunbow animation only covered troops through 1986 other than the Cobra-La Royal Guard.

I didn't run across any screen shots of a Lamprey, but they may be in there. If you click on one of the links and then hit home you can view all of the episode screen shots they have. You may find one that I didn't see.

Cobra Ninjas were in Sunbow?? What episode(s)? I thought they were strictly comics. Would love to see them in my Sunbow-verse!

Don't forget the Cobra Air Troopers from Pyramids of Darkness:

I dunno, man. I'd say if anything, slap an o-face Duke jetpack on an Officer and call it a day. I see any trooper with yellow harness and kneepads as a comic trooper. Sunbow troopers, to the best of my knowledge, never had that look.

I think it's Joepedia that says Lampreys were in a a single episode. Although I believe it also says Crankcase was in one (but you got me which one that was. Shogi?).

I didn't include the admiral because he's not a "Troop", he's a named character, also, I think the unknown Cobra guys there are the Cobra Pilots I mentioned

Thanks again Shogi!

I'll check the POD episode for the Lamprey. The picture showed him obstructed by the boat.

The ninjas were white? SO the red & balck ninjas are not exactly Sunbow-accurate.

Sunbow troopers, to the best of my knowledge, never had that look.Correct, mostly. In the Sunbow cartoons proper, they only ever had white straps. However, in Sunbow animation for early commercials, the Cobra troopers had tan straps like in the comic books. Click the Cobra tab here for a pic: Half the Battle: 1982 Characters (http://www.halfbattle.com/82figs4.html)

On my Cobra Air Troopers, I just put the blue Cobra jet packs on my Cartoon officers.

I use the tan-strap troopers for my comic battles.

They're from the comics, although they're not exactly accurate, either. But much, much closer than the (apparent) Storm Shadow clones of Sunbow.
