sorry, i don't know crap about it...wondering if anyone else has heard anything?
i wonder if they'll go more with a 'halo' / or Tom Clancy game look, or if it will have some type of open ended thing, etc...
i wish they'd have a game where you could pick a cobra character as well, and have missions that you could do for that.
your thoughts?

Well, EA has the license, and that's all thats known right now.
I thought about a Battlefront style game for the regular Joe universe, but as for the movie, who knows. Unfortunately, it'll probably stink.

As long as they have an option to play as a classic character, I will buy it. I hate games that have the actors in them.

I'd actually like it if they had some of the actors from the film involved...although it might not be a good idea as I could never get past the first Dracula level in the "Van Helsing" game. I was too distracted by Richard Roxburgh...I'd be too distracted by Destro, I think...

just like every game. they will make the game around all the special effects in the movie.i am sure it keeps game makes from having to hire writers for story lines. dont get me wrong , i still play video games. but i will say it always, 21 century games suck. i am tired of movie games that are lame and shoot em up games....weak

Who knows? Maybe they can pull out something like Gondeneye for 64, it was based on a movie, and turned out as a great game! I'm rpetty sure it will be in third person, with a game play much like th new iron man or transformers games.

There's never been a good movie-based video game...I really don't anticipate EA breaking that image.
The studio ends up pressuring the game developer in releasing the game with the movie (because everyone knows a game wont sell if the movie has already left theaters) so the game is rushed out the door, usually full of bugs, crappy gameplay and low budget animations, effects, etc. because they had to pay so much money up front just for the license. An RTS set in the Joe-verse could be an amazing game, but I guess I'll just have to wait for Clancy's EndWar and pretend I'm coordinating my Joe forces against Cobra.
