Most Targets in phoenix proper and mesa/Tempe have received cases of wave 2. I have seen them personally at 8 stores this week.

Found all wave three figures Zartan Stalker Firefly Red Ninja and Shipwreck. also found the Cobra Legions 5 pack there as well. I arrive at the Greenfield store at 9:00 and waited till the stock person arrived and asked him to find the shipping box for me because all the pegs where empty. This store is constantly filling the shelf with the action figures that they are missing. I used to go to each store in Mesa area and usually only found Cobra Commander or Storm shadow version 2. That got old real quick so I found out when restock an acquainted myself with the stock personnel. I irritated all of the .stock people but got what I was looking for. It worked out on wave 2 for me. P.S. wait around the palate and don't open the box yourself because the next time the stock person might just ignore you...just be aggressive enough in a polite way.

Target in Phoenix on Bell & 3rd Street had a ton of figures in. Cobra Commander & Flint from Wave 1, all of Wave 2, and all of Wave 3 minus Shipwreck. Sorry, I bought the last Shipwreck. They had a lot of the Cobra Troopers and Beachheads.

Yeah while I was back home in OC I saw that the new revision of wave 3 had hit, so they are hitting here now as well. Targets in the Gilbert area seem to be getting a lot of wave 2 as of late.

Shin-Gouki, whereabouts do you live? That Wal-Mart on Hunt and Gary are right around the corner and I can't imagine anybody going to that one unless they're close.

Anyway, my last couple of hunts have found little, but consistent results. I guess this is only good for anybody looking to stock up while supplies last:

Original Cobra 5 pack - Kay-Bee @ Fiesta Mall 3 left
Original G.I. Joe 5 pack & Cobra Legions 5 pack - Target @ Power and South 202 ~ 10-15 each (stacked above and behind their normal shelf).

Again, nothing earth-shattering, but maybe it'll help somebody out.

I still haven't seen any wave 4 or 5 at any of my stores visits in the South East Valley.

I live almost within Walking Distance of the Wal-Mart on Hunt Highway and Gary. I went there last night on my way home from work after hitting 3 other Wal-Marts and was again denied Hawk/Scarlet. In my own back yard no less!!

Shin-Gouki, I'm at Ironwood and Bella Vista. As I'm often walking among the "zombie shift," I managed to find a box for the comic pack later that Wed night at that Walmart. There was only one Duke/CC and one Scar/Hawk in the box, though. So, I was able to get the whole set and left the duplicates behind.

Let me know when you find one, otherwise, I'll keep my eyes open for you. Just pay what's on the receipt and we're cool. BTW, what kind of condition are you looking for?

Any condition, complete sounds about right (With the Doc Sticker. I only need one more as I was able to unload the extra comic packs I bought just for the stickers to someone at work). I myself am always looking for Sieges so if I find some extra I'll share. (I have two right now)

Last I looked the Fry's Marketplace in Gilbert (Gilbert Road and the 60) had wave 4 but they are $6.99 each.

You can say that again. I usually hit all of the Walmart and Target stores all along the 202 headed West, and there has been zero of anything new and exciting since the holidays died down.

I even checked that Fry's Marketplace you mentioned a few weeks back Shin, and there is nada to speak of! I'm so jones-in for Joes that $6.99 sounded like an acceptable price! In other words, shoot me now! :-)

Hey yall I live in Central Phoenix and have been having little to no problems finding 25th figs.The Target on 2727 W. Agua Fria freeway has been a great spot.It's quite a drive from where it sounds you guys live but who knows it may pay off.Yesterday scored one of each wave 5 there.Left 1 C.G.Haven't had much luck at Wal-Marts or TRU though. I'll let you know if I see anything.

Alright, I missed wave 5 at Target. I live not 100 feet away from the Target on 44th st and Thomas. I went there today to only find Snow Job and 1 Crimson Guard. Which means I missed the rest of the wave, not to mention they had wave 2 comic packs, but no dreadnoughts. Dammit! Who else collects around here?

Y'know, I sometimes have a hard time believing we live in the same state, Shin, because you're describing stores I check out also, but you must be seeing something I'm not, or are getting there earlier/later than I am. I haven't seen a Wave 5 figure since before X-mas, and definitely nothing since.

Hit several Target stores today (Val Vista/Warner and Gilbert/Southern), but neither had anything but Wave 2/3. Also swept by a Walmart to do a return, but again, just more of Wave 2/3. In other words, East Valley appears to be a wasteland today. :-)

Yeah I believe it's done. They said it was a filler wave between wave 3 and wave 1 (08) (IE: Wave 5). It originally was not planned to be made at all.

Indeed. Although not all stores are heavily scalped, many along the 202 Freeway are. Thankfully all scalpers cannot be everywhere at once, so there are select pockets of time where I can snag a few here and there. After all, I'm only looking to complete a set and maybe purchase a dup. here and there. I'm not one of those (from this very Messageboard) looking to complete 2-4 sets, and scarfing up all the Joes I can lay my greedy hands on.

Sounds like you follow the same rule of thumb I do. You never, ever know when stores are going to re-stock, so erroring on the side of caution never hurts. :-)

Every Target I went to today had all of Wave 4 except Air Trooper, so on the pegs they stayed. Well, I picked up a Roadblock for a buddy. But it was like somebody went to each store and grabbed just the troopers.

Yesterday I found and bought a complete wave 4 set at the Spectrum Target. The Northern and 101 Target had had 2 cases of wave 4 but no storm shadows or destros were left. I also found and left the smooth belt buckle Shipwreck variant at Metro TRU.

Yeah, they've never stocked GI Joe, and that just baffles me. Tons of Spiderman movie and Wrestling crap, but nada Joes. Oh well, one less place to have to check. :-)

I haven't checked WM stores since Saturday, as I'm becoming somewhat frustrated with the lack of Joes at WM's across the state right now. If you say Joes are starting to appear I may venture out today, since I have the day off, but we'll see. I think I may just take a wait and see approach. I already have W4 and W1/08, but a few people on this board are requesting W1/08 figures, and I'd like to be able to help a few of them out.

Yeah, same deal, but keeping them MOC. Usually, I open my figures, but it's the whole package that I love about the Joes. Still trying to figure out how I'm going to display them. I want ppl to be able to flip them around and read the FC. Dreadnoks, IG, Crimsons and Arashikage will be doubled to be displayed loose.

I don't know, with the twins coming I've been crazy about them. Ever since I was a kid I wanted a bunch of CG's for the Twins to command.

I'm starting to think that there is someone else in the area too. That sucks about the Doc Sticker, I have been fortunate and have not had that happen yet.

Although I said I was done with Wave 4, I decided I couldn't resist when I was out this afternoon and visisted no less than five WM's, and found Storm Shadow, Scarlett, Cobra Commander, and Duke. I was looking for pristine cards for these and came damn close. Okay, NOW I think I'm done with this Wave. :-)

BTW, didn't find a single Wave 5 at any of the WM's I checked. I could tell new Joe stuff had, at one point, been out on the pegs, and I guess that's what happens when you take 24 off from checking stores- you miss the stuff people have been practically wetting themselves for since X-mas.

Now I'm just waiting with baited breath for W2/08! I'm hoping our overseas friends get theirs soon, so that ours will be soon to follow.

What's w/ this 202 and Gilbert store getting so many wave 5 shipments back to back so quickly?

For the record, I've never been to this store but maybe I should add it to my list in the future because I'm not finding anything new at my typical stops.

I found a guy in Mesa on eBay selling Wave 5 figs for $15-$20 each (shipping extra). I guess when you're making that % of profit, it make sense to be driving all around town buying them up in the spirit of a free market society.

Well, I'm happy to say that I have completed my Wave 4 and Wave 5 "complete set" needs, so I can wash my hands of the dirty...for a couple of weeks/months, at least.

BTW, Stygian, I read your comparison of buying figs to porn. I've had that same conversation w/ the wife! Dead on analogy.

EDIT: Oh, and just in case, I got my sets through my preorder (aka Back up Plan) w/ BBTS (NOT the eBay guy). Paid about $.25 more per figure than I would have @ Target.

As a note when I was hunting MP Starscream I was told by the Manager at the Williams Field/202 Walmart that the Gilbert/202 Walmart was the Top store in the area sales wise so that's why they are getting more Joes.

Yeah, it's really an odd feeling being an adult and cruising a toy aisle, shoulder to shoulder with Soccer Mom's and Dad's hanging with their kids with that bored look in their eyes. On the one hand I love having ready access to new figures fairly regularly, but the personal stigma of feeling 'dirty' while doing so I could do w/out.

Thanks for the offer, Doc. Right now the East Valley seems pretty well stocked if you hit it at the right moment, but that could change at any time.

BTW, another Toy Show at the high school in Feb.? I went to the last one and was sorely disappointed. Most of the stuff there was garage sale fodder at best, and no one had 25th Joes to speak of. Maybe that will be different come Feb.

Oh schnap!! See, this is another reason why I suggested the online redemption concept. Just to recap; you get a cert. with a website address that requires you login with a unique pin identifier that would be included with the figures. Not slipped into the back where someone could easily cut the back tape open and slip out the pin #, but in with the figures themselves, so that whole damn thing would have to be opened to get to it.

Again, not a fool proof concept, but certainly better than stickers that can be easily pilfered, the packaged retaped, and the figures returned to the store for a refund.

Yeah the Toy Show in the Fall was kinda weak and I agree mostly garage sale stuff. If you walked around I was the guy who had the booth of nothing but wrestling stuff that most people did not even look at. There was one person I saw there who had bags and bags of wave one 25, but were keeping them behind her table. I have heard this one will be twice as big.

I like the idea that we should have our own little wants list going on in here and def keep it updated that way we ca help each other out.

Do you guys just do Joe or other stuff? If so should be post all of our in store wants as we go out touring/hunting.

Well, Wave 6 has shown up in Asia. AZ has been pretty lucky recently, receiving figures before a lot of other areas. Let's try to keep an eye out for eachother. If you find Wave 6 post here ASAP. If you find multiple figures and you're not buying them all please consider hiding them for others on the board. I am smack dab in central Phx so I can drive most anywhere in the Phx metro area within a reasonable amount of time and would drop whatever I'm doing to buy these. I checked the Wal-Mart and Target on 44th and Thomas today and didn't see much. Wal-Mart appeared to have gotten in Wave 2 a couple of days ago but they are now left with the same 2 Lady Jayes they've had since Christmas and some Wave 1 comic packs. Target is loaded with comic packs and left overs from waves 2 and 3.

I actually don't hit the Bethany stores everyday. I go about twice a week, randomly based on my schedule. I work at Thomas and Central. The Wal-Mart at 19th has been good to me. That's where I snagged Wave 5 in mid-Dec. and found Wave 2 of the comic packs right after Christmas. As for the other waves, I found Wave 1 at the KB in Metro in late July, Wave 2 at the Wal-Mart on Bell and like 32nd St.(??), Wave 3 at the Target on 44th and Thomas, and Wave 4 at the Wal-Mart on 40th and Thomas in early Dec.

Today I made the run and found jack squat (i.e. no Wave 6). Not even a sign of Wave 4 or 5. I hit the Wal-Mart and Target on 19th and the Wal-Mart on 35th before heading back to work. Also Toy Anxiety had a moc Rock N Roll and the guy said he had a Torpedo there earlier in the day. Rock N Roll is a lot better in person than any pic I have seen on line so far. I would asume that means Wave 6 has hit the Phoenix area so be on the look out.

EDIT #3: I had a long ass post about what I found and where. Since these were scarce, random leftovers and I took the last ones on the pegs, it really wouldn't do anybody much good. Every store looked like a tornado hit just before I got there.

Long story short, I had extra figures looking for a home but they're all gone now. PM me what you're looking for as I'm still on the hunt for an R&R that doesn't have impressions in the card from packaging and a LT Torpedo who doesn't have bubble dents.

I live in Tucson,AZ. So far nothing as far as Wave 8 or the SR. Officers pack. I can tell you that everything else has come through and is more or less still available. I've been pretty lucky finding everything.(granted, I call and search pretty hard)

I follow the advice of some people and checked ROSS and found a few really beat up boxs of Legions. God ROSS is a sewer.

This week I found the vehicles at the target on Peoria and 43rd Ave using the number and having a young lady go to the back and get then. I also found a set of Ranking officers at the metro TRU first thing Thursday morning.

I am interested in this filler set showing up at Targets as I need a snake eyes especially for his grenade chest piece.

HA!! How funny. That's when I got my TRU figs too. When I went into the Metro TRU on Thursday, there were 6 of the three-packs. I got one of each and left the other three. About an hour later I convinced myself to go buy the other 3 and by the time I got there they were already gone. ha ha ha. Well, at least I know they are in a happy home.

Guys, when any of you start finding the reissued Snake Eyes, SS waves in the Targets (should be any day) please post so immediately. I'd like to get my hands on a few of the figures with the new peg stands. Thanks!

I've called several Targets and all of them had at least 12 in stock but won't be putting them on display until next week. I'm sure they'll make room for them since they are Target Exclusives. I was lucky enough to get 1 of each when an employee said he could get them in the back for me (Queen Creek Target @ Ellsworth).

I saw a Torpedo, R&Roll, and Armored CC at the 75th Avenue Walmart just this morning....along with Snow Job, Gold Destro, Crimson Guards and Air Troopers. Not sure if they are still there, but if you are desperate enough you should make the drive before rush hour. Good luck.

I saw 6 HISS vehicles at my local Target last night and got 1. Then, this morning I decided to get another one and when I went back, they were all gone! wow. these go fast. The AWE Striker and Specter don't go as fast. I still saw 3 of each. I guess I'll just have to wait for the Black HISS.

2 Hiss Tanks at Tempe Marketplace Target

The Tempe Marketplace is by my work. I was going to go in this morning but was running late. I went there @ 6:45pm and there was only one tank left. I picked up a complete set leaving one each of the other two.

I then went to the TRU on Power and 60. They had one each of the ranked exclusives. I picked them up. It was the first time I'd ever seen them on the shelf. They also had two Nightwatch 5-packs.

I went across the street and they had 1 Hiss, 2 Strikers, 3 Specters. The Hiss box looked a little banged up. It wasn't too bad; it would be fine for somebody planning on opening it anyway.

If you go to a Target and don't see them (Hiss Tank) on the shelf, see if they have any in the back. Every Target I've been to only has space for two complete sets.

BTW, Target on Rittenhouse restocked the shelf w/ 4 Hiss Tanks and 2 Strikers.

I got two over everything, and hit several more Walmarts this morning for extra Vipers. Don't waste your time in the SouthWest Valley if you want Vipers because I've cleaned them out. The other figs are still there though.

Thanks for the offer n3rf, but in my impatience to get these, I not only cruised by a WM this afternoon (picking up lunch for the sick daughter) and picked up SE, WB, and Viper, but previous to having left the house I ordered a complete set from a guy on eBay. This only further proves my theory that I don't find the new Wave until I've purchased one or more via eBay first. Not sure why it always happens this way, but..well, it does almost w/out fail. ;-)

mine were messed up too. I don't think it was anyone bending them on purpose. It was just probably a smashed up case. I'm guessing all of yours were messed up towards the top and not the bottom, right?

It's fine to me since I buy one set to open and one set to stay carded. This set is just going to be my open set and when they hit Target, I'll just use my coupon to get a nice carded set.

I decided to make a trek last night and found the same warped cards everywhere. I was finally able to piece together a MOC collection (w/ the exception of Flint who had some small, livable creases). I have not read any reports of any other states having the same problem.

Hi guys. I've been collecting the 25th Ann. JOEs. If you collect Star Wars you might recognize me as Kielbassa over on the Rebelscum boards. I frequent those boards, but I've only recently started visiting Hisstank. In any event, I'm still looking for wave 8 figures on good cards. I found some of the figures Sunday night, but the cards are all bent/warped. Does anybody need openers of Roadblock, Cobra Commander or Python Patrol? I have one of each, and I'm not much of an opener (although I have a modest Cobra army), so if you want them let me know. Hopefully Target will bear some wave 8 fruit for me. I may have missed round 1 at WM, but it looks like I would've had a hard time finding minty cards anyway.

After an eastside search which included several Targets and a Walmart, I found zilch on the Wave 4 comic-pack front. Plenty of Wave 3, but nothing as far as Wave 4. Must be a westside thing currently.

I found the Copperhead and Shipwreck pack at the Target at 19th Ave. and Bethany Home yesterday but ended up passing on it. I want to find all three at a Target and use the $5 off coupon. In time, the comic packs tend to be easier to find.

My friend picked up Wave 8:CC, RB and Baroness at Wal-Mart 2501 W. Happy Valley on Tuseday afternoon.

Between Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon somebody found my 'HOLY GRAIL' at Wal-Mart 5845 West Bell Rd. FIVE cases of Wave 8! I had two but that's another story.

yeah, i saw them earlier today too. they are part of wave 7 revision 1. It has those 3 older guys, some wave 7 and cc from wave8

I dont know what those numbers mean.. something about when the figure was made.

The CC is not from wave 8, it's the wave 4 version.

Walmart at 44th st. has some all black snake eyes. 1st time I've seen him. They also had a bunch of vipers. No wave 4 comic packs. The pegs are crammed full of joes, which is pretty cool.

Anyone finds a wave 8 Roadblock that has A) a Good Card, and B) good Paints Apps let me know. The one I got the paint apps on the shoulders suck, and the only other one I have seen has a hosed card

Thank you, I did. Or, at least I feel that I did. Seeing as though I can't find these to save my life in AZ currently, paying $22 seems like small potatoes. The other two packs I feel I can wait on. They're nice, but essentially re-issues (sans Red Star, of course) of figures I already own, just with less gear or slightly different uniforms.

Don't know if anyone goes on BigBadtoystore.com, but I got a couple 2 packs for 5.99. I figured with Gas the way it is, I'd rather spend it on shipping and save the frustration. I got a 2 pk ss/se, destro/breaker, and a roadblock for just about cost *including shipping*...I know they are easily found, but a lot more conveinent.

checked walmart at about 10p last night @ 60and greenfield and 60 and countryclub... nothing yet.
no luck at any targets cept the 24th and baseline one. It funny because that particular target has not received anything for a long time but its the only target that i know of that had them.

So? Anyone seen these at retail en force yet? I've been checking Walmart's for what seems like weeks now (at least since the Wave 4 comic-packs available now thread went up), but nothing yet.
