Anyone going out tonight or tomorrow to pick this up? I want to buy it but I don't have a console to play it on. And I was looking around and couldn't find any 80 gig PS3 consoles for sale at any of the major electronics retailers. Do they not sell these anymore, and only the 40 gig?

yes i will, had mine on pre order at game stop for a month now. i will pick it up after work tomarow. the 40 gig ps3 is all any store sells, and thay suck. the 80 is not as good as the 60, cus the 80 can only play certain ps1 & ps2 games, get a 60 like me if u can find one. a new 80 is comming with metal gear, but i like the 60 that i got last year new at the store.

I don't know much about the PS3, but I thought all you had to do to play all Playstation games, was just to download something. Maybe I'm confusing that with something else, though.

playstation took out the ps1 & ps2 chip from the 80 cus thay want to sell ps2 slim still. the down load only lets u play certain games, and the new 80 is dew i think summer, but i m not shure. i dont think the old chip is in it. i think a 120 is allso in the futre.

My wife and I both work at WM... same days, same shift. She was helping me at the register. I'd ring it up and she'd bag them. :) Sorta felt like our own little mom and pop store going on. :)

The problem is you bought an xbox 360.
It totally doesn't suprise me that it's crashing on GTA4. Micro$oft will likely put out an auto-update patch before the week is over. If you have xbox live, that is.

If not, you're probably hosed. Maybe try exchanging the disk and pray that it was a bad burn.

Hey, how is the Police AI on the game? Are they worse or smarter? And I hope they don't send out Helicopters every 3 seconds like they do to you on San Andreas. I liked how it took some time between each Helicopter like in GTA 3

I waited in line at ten last night for the midnight launch in the middle of a cold snap and paid the money for the collecters edition of this game. When I got home and put it in my 360 guess what happened.



My mind was blown over how awesome this game is. Good lord, this game was worth the wait! I can't believe how realistic it is now.

I bought this game yesterday at lunch and I am having a blast with it. It is very cool and very funny...I love some of the one liners the random city drivers or street crowd say. His cousin is also quite funny. The graphics are awesome and so far I have enjoyed the story line.

Snow Job call all the K-marts in your area that is where I found my 80 GB PS3 at the end of February they still had 2 in stock. I was surprised to find it, but nobody shops at K-mart so who knows you might luck out.

Once you get the PS3 you will not even want to play the PS2 games. Trust me they look like Atari 2600 graphics next to the PS3. I traded my original PS2(the fat old bastard not the new slim one) and all my games which were all old as shit the newest game being the Superman movie game and I got 120.00 in store credit at Game Stop. I would not get the 40 GB PS3 I would either search for the 80 or wait till it gets released again on June 12th with MGS4 and a brand spanking new Dualshock controller. I have never tried a PS2 game on my 80 GB PS3 because I don't own any now, but I thought they played on the 80 GB PS3. I thought the 80 was backwards compatible just not the 40.

They seem somewhat more laid back now. From what I remember from previous games they always just tried running you off the road or shooting at you no matter what you did.

Now it seems like the measures they take depend on what you do. Buzzing through a toll without paying and they just tried pulling me over, running down a few pedestrians and they started bringing out the tire spikes and shot out my windows.

The way they track you is better too. Instead of just having to avoid the police for a certain amount of time, now they have a circled area where they are looking for you. If you avoid them and get out of the area you are cool. If you run past a cop while trying to get out of the area it re-centers on your last known position again.

Right now I still rank it behind Mass Effect and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance in terms of 360 games I've had the hardest time putting down, I couldn't stop playing those games, but it has been as good as previous GTA's for me. It was worth the money.

Any unnoticeable flaws in the rendering of PS2 games become extremely noticeable and annoying when playing them on the PS3.

Been playing for a few days now (home sick, lucky me) and man, this game is awesome. Everything about this game is great. No problems with the disc or sysytem (ps3). My post count here has almost stagnated since I have been playing it.

Goooood question. I just hang up but in the middle of crazy shit going down I sometimes answer by mistake. Its annoying when all I want to do is blow up the city and the damn phone is going off all the time.

my favorite part by far was when i was online. I played the "Race" option and when the match started we started off on foot and we all just started running at each other throwing punches at one another, looked like a bunch of chickens running around with our heads cut off. If you bring up the phone I think it is the last option. I think it's called "Silent Mode" or "Free Play" or something like that. It will turn off your phone so you can just go around and do whatever without your massively needy friends constantly calling you to pick them up. The only thing is you may need to turn it on to advance the story since some calls are needed. It is awesome for when you just want to do random odd things around the city.

Yah, yah, okay, so I like have been living under a rock, but I just got a PS3 and bought GTA4 for 10 bucks used. HOLY CRAP. This game really is a masterpiece. This is the first GTA game I've really spent some time with and wow... the city and car graphics are just so amazing, and the story is great and just driving around and using the e-brake all the time is so much damn fun. *gives Rockstar a standing ovation*
