Fable III

I'm not a hardcore-gamer by any stretch of the imagination except for this game series.

I use to lose sleep playing the first game while was in college. Took a couple vacation days to play the 2nd one when it came out. And today I picked up the Prequel Novel from Borders partly because it's the first book based on the mythology, but also because it comes with a code for an exclusive in game weapon. I'm pre-ordering the game and having it delivered to work to guarantee I have it on launch day. Obsessed, much?

eh, i wish i had a 360 to play this one! I have Fable on the original xbox and it was fantastic. I think i may get Fable II for PC...who knows, maybe i can get this one for PC too?

I believe it is coming for PC, but I would definitely go back and play Fable 2 first. It's my favorite game of all time (until the end of the month, lol). Also, the events of that game directly effect the start of Fable 3.

Well, my pre-ordered Limited Edition arrived here at work this morning, I am so super excited to get home and start playing. This is going to be epic!

Fable I was alright. Not as good as hyped and hoping it would be. Haven't played Fable II yet.

Dragon Age did a better job of the "impact of decisions" kind of game. How does Fable II and III rate compared to DA:O?

Fable I would be a 5 compared to DA's 9.

Fable I would be a 5 compared to DA's 9.

Fable III is relatively light on the decision making early on, aside from one big one in the prologue.

However in the second half of the game it ramps up in a huge way, pushing the "decision making" aspects of the game to an "8" very easily, possibly pushing it as high as 9 or even 10 depending on what your criteria for the ratings is. Suffice to say that your decisions affect the game world in huge and very visible ways, and your "endgame" will be VERY different depending on the decisions you make.

I just started playing the first one (Fable: The Lost Chapters) on my PC... just gave my sister some chocolates... after that... I see lots of fire all over the place now... lots of screaming too. LOL. The awesome thing is that this game is old, so even on my crappy PC I can still play it at high resolution and with most of the eye candy turned on. Pretty cool game... so far. LOL.

Easily my favorite game, and I've replayed I & II many times over.

That said, I'm waiting to buy up some used copy for a 1/3rd the price. I can still put a few more months on the second game.

my game save for Fable 2 got corrupt somehow and I never restarted...should I play it first b4 I play 3? will it ruin the experience or make any difference which order I play them? these games are great just so long. not a bad thing of course!

I'm a huge fan of the Fable series. 3 is great but with one thing lacking... my dog needs to be a Rottweiler! The Dobey skin just came out but I want a powerhouse!
