You pick the next Beginnings Story!

So, I've decided to let the fans pick my next Beginnings Story. You guys have been supportive of this project and I enjoy writing these short stories for Hisstank.com. FYI - These stories have never been published anywhere and are exclusive to the Tank. So I hope you enjoy them!!!

Anyway, I've narrowed next characters down to a couple. It's your turn to decide what Beginnings story I write next.

Please vote: Other then. I'm open to different characters.

As for Cobra stories. I actually have a few in mind. But for a later date. Cobra stories are much harder to develop and take more time since there's soooo little backstory to guys like Zartan, Firefly, or the Baroness (whom are the firsts on my Cobra back story list). I have to do alot of research in file cards, comics, and so forth.

oh you should totally "wing it" some of those filecards are contradictory and whatever you come up with will be "at least" as good as whatever is actually the truth (though considering it's all fake...it doesn't much matter what is and isn't the official "story")

That's the thing. When writing fiction of this kind. You have to write with some basis of relation. If I were to "wing it" and simply write on what is "my Joe Universe" then you get something that isn't necessarily part of Joe lore. I'm trying to expand on an already existing Universe not replace it.

I picked Hawk. To me much of the Joe story is really his story. He's the CO and when he's part of the story it seems to reflect his perspective. Plenty other's I would love to see but I figure you already have an idea of what you want to write with the choices you gave.

I picked Hawk. To me much of the Joe story is really his story. He's the CO and when he's part of the story it seems to reflect his perspective. Plenty other's I would love to see but I figure you already have an idea of what you want to write with the choices you gave.

I actually love doing characters with little backstory! Which is why I chose Shipwreck and Low-Light in previous stories. But there's definitely more to come!!!

But Super Trooper and his pal the Ice Cream Soldier are not exactly tops on my roster.

I think Cutter when he was with the Coast Guard would be some excellent material. Stories like rescuing people, busting drug runners, etc.

Good call on that one... Even if it doesn't make it for this round. I'm thinking that a back story on the Joe's only "Coastie" would make for a cool story!

Mainframe is already in the works... He's one of my favorite characters (being a field combat IT myself). He also ties in to my novel.
