I only intended on getting one Sideshow 12" figure. It was Snake Eyes and only Snake Eyes.
Then they make Storm Shadow. And I just had to get Storm Shadow to go with my Snake Eyes.
Next, I had to get Recon at Waypoint to reunite Timber with my Snake Eyes.
From being so impressed with the Recon at Waypoint 12" figure environment, I developed a curiosity for the Cobra Throne and gave in.
What good is a Cobra Throne without Cobra Commander? Picked him up soon afterward.
So Sideshow then announces they will include a vintage classic portrait with their Firefly figure. I had to get Firefly.
And finally yesterday, Sideshow notifies me via email that my wait list reservation for the exclusive Firefly version will convert tomorrow. Limited to only 500 pieces worldwide, how could I resist?
I am addicted!! DAMN YOU SIDESHOW!!! lol!

Being a HUGE Flint fan... I almost pulled the trigger on the figure. However, something about the face and the notion that the standard figure didn't come with the traditional shot-gun bothered me, so I passed.
Can't say the same for Beachhead though.

Thankfully, I have only a mild interest in these figures ... phew.

I almost grabbed a couple of these, but held up. Later on down the line, I'll probably regret not grabbing some. But if I ever feel the need, I'll scrap on ebay. POC is keeping me content for now

I have them all so far... The only one I don't like (judging from what I have seen in pictures) is the upcoming Beachhead.
They do get better with EVERY figure. Duke was an awesome addition... and I don't like Duke at all. Firefly though... best so far, hands down.

I am the same way, Got the cobra troopers 2x the throne for my SDCC Crimson CC then got Firefly...have beach head and Red Ninja who will be my Storm Shadow as I can't stand the way storm shadow turned out coming next. I can't wait to see who pops up next. Duke, Maskless Beachead and Flint and just look too wired in the face for me so I am sticking to masked individuals and mainly Cobra forces. If FLint had the face he has in the Flint Zartan Dio satatue I would have ordered him in a heart beat.
I can't wait for 2x crimson gurads or regualr viper, Serpentor, Zartan and of course I am dieng to see thier take on Destro...even Stalker or Law and Order would rock about now...imagine Sci-fi...

This is the exact reason I have not purchased any sideshow figures. I think they are awesome and would love to get one, but I know it will not stop there and my wallet just can't afford them. I even try to avoid seeing who has been made or looking at one too long. Maybe someday.

Firefly started my addiction. My first 12" 1/6 scale figure. We went to a local store who specifically sells Hot Toys and Sideshow. Spoke to the owner and he was schooling me on the hobby. After about an hour or so my g/f surprised me by buying me Firefly. I fell in love with the line. I hunted down Snake Eyes and got 2 figs from Mr. Skull Boy up above =)

When they announced Firefly last year, that sealed it for me. I just loved him. I went ahead and preordered Duke and just got Cobra Trooper the other night. I am hoping to get Firefly on ebay in the next couple days. Beachhead is next.
Missed Snake Eyes unfortunately. Stormy is a bit too traditional for me. I bid occasionally on CC if the price is right- haven't won him yet- will buy him if they do the helmet one. Passed on Flint as his lips looked weird. I passed on the Cobra Officer and Sniper Trooper as I just didn't like the reimagined look.
And with that, passed on Red Ninjas too.
Saw the throne at JoeCon this year- AMAZING!! Looks fantastic and worth every cent.

I've been collecting Sideshow since they first started making Star Wars figures. I have at least a dozen from the earliest releases on display in my room. I love them, but when they went from $49 to $69 and now to more than $100 it was too much for me.
I'd love to get in on some of these 12" Joes. Snake Eyes, Stormshadow, and Firefly are damned cool. I just can't get past the $119 asking prices. I'd buy them if they were half that.

Sideshow figures are just awesome ,i don't collect any of the GI Joe stuff ,but i pre ordered two Terminator figures the T-1000 ,and the Terminator from the first film .The attention to detail and likenesses is astounding ,but it comes with a hefty price tag almost $350.00 for both of them ..now i can see why i only buy two a year .

LOL!! They got you too...I only wanted Snake Eyes too and he was crazy expensive on ebay or anywhere else and finally found him at a comic shop, but then he was being sold paired with Storm Shadow. I thought they wanted a some outrageous price for them, but the guy at the shop wanted $240.00 for both them...I said sold...and haven't stop since then.

I have the T-800 from Terminator 2. He's a great figure with an awesome likeness to Arnold.
I really want to pick up a few of these Joes: Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Firefly. But they're hella expensive.

I just purchased my first Sideshow Joes from a fellow Tanker. I should have Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow in my hands soon. Next I need to get Firefly, Flint, Beach Head, and Dusty.

I almost clicked the button for a Firefly...but at that price, addiction would be a terrible affliction. Plus, I'd have a divorce on my hands...hehehe

I'm taking every precaution to stay away from these things only because I KNOW how good they are..and if I start, I WILL get addicted.
As of right now I have almost the entire Universal Monster Sideshow stuff MIB...plus a few Jasons from Friday 13th...and a few of the older 8" stuff.
Back when these figures were 40 bucks a pop!!...Then they just went through the roof and I had to back off.
Personally I would love a SS and Red Ninja....who knows, I've done some pretty irresponsible things with money. If I see one, I may have to cave.

These things are dangerous. I can sit and just stare at them on top of my desk for hours, looking at them from different angles.
I modify most of my Joes with Hot Toys upgrades, so they look 2x better than their stock versions.

I have them in a detolf behind my g/f work chair and she always catches me looking back at them, haha.

I like the sideshow stuff, but...
I'm collecting 12" Star Wars right now, and Hasbro is cheaper and more durable. But I fell ya, the 12" ARAH Joes Hasbro made have all sucked. Kinda sad that that's how Joes started back in the day and Hasbro couldn't get the new characters right! (Not Hasbro bashing... I love Hasbro. Really!)

I tried to tap into the SW universe but decided to sell my 3 figs. I am focusing on Hot Toys + SS Joes. Sure SW is cheaper compared to Joes but something about them does not satisfy my thirst.

Yeah, I love the Sideshow Joes so far. I plan to get them all. However, I have been able to refrain on the statues and scenes. If they would have released a scene accessory w/ each figure I might have gone for that.

I've got two figures so far (Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes) and am looking for more. Namely Flint (exclusive preferred), Firefly, and Duke. I'm so into these that I'm looking to sell off some of my Medicom 12" figures to buy more Joes.

Ok, it's getting bad. First I purchased Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow from another Tanker, then I got my Wait List exclusive Beach Head, and now I've gone and purchases Duke on eBay.
I just need to put some money together for Firefly and Flint and I'm all set. :D
