Hey fellow tankers. My wife, myself, and my 17-month old daughter moved into a new home this past June, and the only thing I asked for was to be able to have my own little "Man Cave" to display all my plastic crack. The wifey was totally cool about it. So, I wanted to post some of the pics of my room of serenity... it's my little get away from reality. I apologize in advance that some of the pics aren't that great (I gotta take a photography class... sigh). The first set of pics are my modern era Joes. I loved the original 13 from the 1982 set so I got all of them, plus added Duke and Sarge since they are also a couple of my favorites. I used City Strike Snake Eyes b/c I really love the look of this version. They are all standing on a tiered organizer designed normally for spices but they fit so well in the IKEA glass display cabinet. Another shelf is occupied by some of my favorite modern era Cobra figures. I really love looking at them. Also in the case are my mini Thundercats figures, mini Thundercats lair, and mini Mumm-ra's crypt... I loved 80s cartoons. In the bottom display are some random pieces - mini Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and a little Ryu and Ken figure from Street Fighter.

My walls consist of various Transformers figures (some 25th Anniversary - still waiting for my SDCC Blaster from HTS.com), GI Joe exclusives/variants, Voltron, original Tomax and Xamot on their card, original Sgt. Slaughter and his Marauders on their card, original Sgt. Slaughter's Renegades, He-Man, GI JOE Hall of Heroes, Starting Lineup Basketball figures.

The picture of the bookshelf is holding all of my favorite comic books in binder sleeves on the bottom shelf, mini Transformers PVC figures in display cases, mini Marvel Heroclix figures in display cases, and the top shelf are mini Star Wars role playing figures that I put in an Apex tiered display case I got from SmallJoes. I am a huge basketball enthusiast too, so I have portraits of some of my favorite NBA legends on another wall - Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Michael Jordan. I also have an autographed portrait of Magic Johnson, that one of my best friends gave me years ago.

I also have an IKEA office desk in the room with shelves and my TV and XBox 360, but as you can see, I didn't take any pics of them as I totally forgot they were in the room!

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed putting it all together!

Nice!! I love it. Can't wait till we get a bigger place so that we can have a room to display some of our stuff!

Thanks so much! Yeah, we were in a condo before we moved into this house and all of my plastic crack were in storage bins for years... when we moved into the new home, it totally felt like Christmas as I started unpacking my stuff to display (lol). I love looking around the room and just thinking back on all the nostalgia the originals of many of these figures brought to my childhood life during the 80s. We have a better camera than the one I used, so I'm gonna see if I can take some better pics with better lighting.

Very nice, clean looking display you have there. I love the look of the MOC figures and you have them organized very well - I'm looking forward to doing the same thing soon!
