Why are you guys assuming it's gone bad? take it from someone who's found Mountain Dew in forgotten moving boxes. Pepsi products don't have an expiration date so much as a half-life.

I have a can of Mellow Yellow from about 10 to 12 years ago from when I used to live down in Florida. I saved it because we didn't have the stuff in NYC and I wanted to bring a can back with me when I moved back up here.

The funny thing is that I finally found the stuff up here in NYC a few months ago.

I'm not sure if this is the first time it's been sold this far up north, or if it's finally back here after being away for so long.

In any case I'm not opening that can and drinking it now because I can get them in 20oz bottles at stores and in vending machines.

As far as Surge is concerned it was even better as fountain soda!

When the wife and I caught a hockey game, I'd buy a big cup of it at the arena. I remember the drink was antifreeze green but dried on the lid blue :)

I have an unopened 2-liter bottle of Pepsi themed with Revenge of the Sith all over it. For cans the carbonation is still good, for a 2-liter bottle carbonation is long gone!

Just imagine if that bottle ruptured through transit. There is a reason why USPS asks you if you have any fragile or liquid items in your box when you hand it to them. Especially with it being clear, this would be on the evening news as a possible terrorist attack if this thing even remotely leaked.

untrue... at least in my experience
I had a collection of Star Wars pepsi products from the '99 Phantom Menace movie and they went REALLY bad!
It was all syrupy and disgusting. I think I threw them out in 2006/2007
