I have a feeling this will sell out at the brick and mortar stores by collectors and scalpers alike just like MP Starscream and MP Optimus at Walmart. I was a little surprised that the Skywarps shelf-warmed. But, I guess it's understandable since it was simply a Starscream repaint and not a very popular character.

Are you sure that's not a temp charge? That's what it says in the FAQ: Charged when item ships, but there will be a temp charge for 3 - 7 days.

No problem. I was looking for some good deals in the clearance section when I found Grimlock. Thanks to a lot of the postings by other tankers, I've been able to find some good deals. Just thought I'd share (=. Like many of you, I also purchased mine on impulse. It really beats driving once a week to ToysRus hoping you get there first before all the other collectors show up.

Well, I caved and ordered because it ends up being less than if I find it at retail thanks to a $10 coupon I had. The coupon expires on 7/25 and I doubt it would be in stores by then. I ended up saving about $4 vs. finding it at retail.

Well, TRU exclusive items, such as the ROC exclusives, seemed to have been made in abundance of demand. So, in the beginningI would guess that it won't be terribly difficult to find. But, as time passes, the availability at the store may dry up. Try finding a TRU exclusive Firefly at the store for example. In my area the are long gone.

Even with the DC/MOTU sets, it was hard for me to find them at TRU when they first came out. But, I've seen both the Superman/He-Man and the Lex Luthor/Skeletor sets on more than 1 occasion weeks after first release.

But, are talking about Grimlock, and I would wager that the TF collectors base is larger and demand will be higher. Regarding price, $60 doesn't sound all that crazy considering the Takara version sold for $150. Granted, this version has fewer accessories and may have more plastic rather than die-cast, but $60 for a MP Grimlock sounds like a reasonable price point. I turned down free shipping because the $10 off saved me more money. The different was less than $4. I assume it added tax to your order like it to mine so you paid exactly what you would have if you found it at retail. It's good deal either way. My order came to $60.23...$3.96 less than if I found it at retail (not including gas).

What does TRU use for standard shipping? USPS, FedEx, or UPS?

No, they cannot charge you more after you have ordered it. Now they have every right to change the price for future sales, but once you pre-order or order something, that is the price you will get it for.

I know, I know. I just don't feel like dealing with and it was more of an impulse buy. Plus, my CC is valid through the end of the month, which is the deadline before TRU cancel the order. I already got the new CC, but haven't activated it because I have a couple outstanding online orders and I think they would get bumped due to the change in the 3 digit security number. I know the expiration dates don't really mean shit anymore, but I don't feel like having shit get bumped due to the security number.

I wouldn't worry too much about not seeing them yet, you will. Have you ever not found a TRU exclusive eventually? Take the reissued Perceptor and Insecticons for example. If I remember correctly, they didn't completely sell out of those until this last buy one, get one half off deal.

Then, a week later, my package arrives from the post office. So, I tried to get TRU to take the refund back and they wouldn't/didn't...

I finally won against the system.

IMHO, he's worth it. He fits nicely in his packaging and looks very cool.

Yeah, its the best Grimlock you're gonna get for the price tag. Mine's a little loose in the hips but he stands on his own. The one draw back to every version so far is that, like a lot of TFs, all the weight is in the torso. If he had metal feet he'd stand a lot more stable.

Uh, I think they're about the same height if you're not using the stands on the MP Seekers. His bulk makes him look bigger, of course, but the wingspan on the Seekers will offset that some.

His height is my biggest complaint with the figure. He should be no shorter that Prime and Megatron.

I got mine this week and I must say I'm quite impressed. Sure he's shorter than Prime, but I like it that way. Makes Prime stand out, as he should. I know Grimlock should be Prime's size according to storybook, but in this case I don't mind one bit. This is by far the BEST Grimlock (sans Takara version) on the market, and at $65 shipped, I'm super stoked to add this to my collection.

I had this recently with the POC Exclusives ... it started out as UPS and then was "tendered" to the USPS ... I got it within the next day from the post office.

The tracking code will still work so you should be safe but like I said, TRU is one of those companies that works with both the USPS and UPS and it's no unusual for them to hand off the items.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Thundercracker. The original G1 Thundercracker was my very first Transformers toy I got when I was a kid. I remember it vividly because I found it while on vacation in Houston and my local toy stores in south Texas didn't have any of the jets yet. I really wanted Starscream, but they didn't have him, so I got Thundercracker instead. I wish I had kept him. sniff :(

But it took me 3 TRU to find just one Grimlock, they didn't even have them out and had one on hold for me after I had he lady call around they relucatantly brought out to me. When she was looking him up in the computer I saw the "WHSE" listing and they only had 256 of them in out local distribution center so I bought it. $70 bucks was worth it he is friging Awesome and so in Scale with the joes in Dino mode. I have passed on tons of the At-ATs as I know those will eventually hit deep clearances since they are at every retailer..Grimlock though is only at TRU an dthe way they like to never clearance jack, he will be 69.99 for years to come...didn't wanna risk him being a short run due to price/consumer demand so.

Get him though! he was my favorite dinobot for sure!
