Ok, maybe I'm seeing it wrong. Check out:
GI JOE G I JOE Toys/Sets/Figures 1980's WAY HUGE LOT! - eBay (item 250665669639 end time Jul-22-10 19:48:08 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/GI-JOE-G-JOE-Toys-Sets-Figures-1980s-WAY-HUGE-LOT-/250665669639?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a5cd69407#ht_500wt_1154)
In one of the pics (bottom row, 1st from the last) that looks like parts to a MSV to me.
May be worth a pickup for someone. I don't want to shell out $500 to find out. Still though, would be a good snag if it is. 82 MSV just don't show up in lots all the time :D

Hmmm, may also be the sears exclusive. I see -
A Red Hiss
Black MMS with red missiles.

I was going to ask this also because I looked at yojoe.com and didn't see anything with those initials.

Thats no MSV, its a Stinger. On the bright side there is indeed a complete SMS set in there

Actually, now I think it's the SMS from Sears in 1985.
The MSV was a black vamp and black MMS (with black missiles) and very very rare.
The SMS is no small piece either. Judging that the seller lives in MI, maybe near the Canadian border? I wonder if there's anything else rare in that lot?

I think it was either
Mobile Strike Vehicle
or
Missile Strike Vehicle

I do not think so. The other pictures indicate that the vamp like vehicle next to the Water Moccasin is the Stinger as indicated by what appears to be a clip on top and clip on doors. This is further supported by the evidence of the driver that came with the Stinger in the figures' picture.
The only indication I see of a possible MSV would be the possible presence of the black MMS base. I cannot get a good enough look though to verify what it exactly is.

...after you look closer in the rest of the pictures, you will see the 3 red missiles and the red hiss ...thats a dead give-a-way that it is a SMS set .

Look at the front grill bar on the Stinger, it's got the forward facing spikes (dead Stinger giveaway) while the vamp had a bar with nothing on it instead of spikes. Also the canopy and rear figure stand bumper show it to be a Stinger.
Here's the MSV: YOJOE.COM | Sears Exclusive Cobra Combat Set - M.S.V. (Canada) (http://www.yojoe.com/international/canada/cobramsv.shtml)

Not to detract from this thread, but does anyone else cringe when they see someone just dump stuff in a pile like that? I mean they would get a lot more interest/money if they presented it better. At least the figures are lined up neatly.
Also, the description makes me thankful I have a wife that doesn't ridicule my hobbies. She may not share my interests, but she would NEVER refer to it as "childish ways".

This is what I noticed after looking for a few more minutes. I looked through and didn't see anything but the dusty stinger and the black SMS base.
Lol, I also thought that fang may have been a variant, then I realized it was just REALLY dirty.

A big hell yeah on both counts.
Alright so what do you guys think - Is this lot worth $600 to you?
