A good friend and I started playing with some friend, but they've all quit leaving us without our Super Group. Anyone else play that might like to team up sometime?

I tried playing it, but either I didn't have enough RAM or my video card isn't up to par, actually I'm thinking of City of Heroes, I havent tried Champions, but I imagine it will be the same result

Supposedly, they have optimized their code and it's supposed to run better, but I don't know for sure since I never had issues to begin with.

Champions and City of Heroes are pretty different from each other. Champions has an open Power system, which means you can build your character using any power you want. City of Heroes has actual classes to choose from, so is your more conventional RPG.

I played both, and I like Champions better. However, I know there are people that feel exactly the opposite. I guess it depends on what you like in an RPG.

I played both the closed and open Betas last year straight through the summer up until launch. I had a lot of fun playing and testing it and I would have gotten the game, but because you could only play as heroes, and not as villains as well, I decided not to get it and to wait to try DC Universe Online instead.

In fact I just signed up for DCUO's Beta program which just started accepting applications yesterday.

That bothered me at first too, but it's not all that bad. Cryptics PvP system is pretty fun, especially their zombie apocalypse battle ground. I bought a lifetime subscription, and I don't regret it one bit. I will say this though, you either love the game or hate it. Not much in between.

I would play DCUO, but SoE is doing it. I have vowed never to play another SoE game after the Star Wars: Galaxies debacle. They'll figure out a way to screw something up, they always do...

If champions had come th the Xbox 360 as they promised it would, I'd be all over it. I loved COH, and was really excited for Champions.

I loved Champions, it's a great game. If they incorporate playable villains I'll happily dive back in head first. But until then if I'm going to invest in an MMO full time I want to be able to play as the bad guys.

I fully understand what you're saying. I think it was one of the biggest decisions Cryptic made that alienated a huge chunk of players.

I think my favorite MMO would have to be DAoC. Now that was some cool PvP.
