this looks interesting can anyone place the vehicle ? I don't reconise it at all ?I can't tell you what it is, but i can tell you that it DOMINATES THE CITY STREETS and it has A TOP SPEED OF 220 MPH and acceleration of 0 TO 60 IN 3.5 SEC. It's true, it was photographed by a speed trap on i76.

It even has guns and shit, not just your run of the mill guns, but TWIN 30MM RAY BLASTERS. Also, the PAINT IS SWEET.

In short; NOTHING CAN KEEP UP OR ESCAPE THIS VEHICLE.

Also, I bet it does mad wicked skids.

This one sounds good until you read more: it doesn't fly! The remote just controls the speed of the rotors so you don't have to spin them. This is kind of the ultimate lazy man's Fang!

Not to mention something about the picturs of the 'spinning' blades looks like a photoshop to me. Real props/rotors don't just become ghost images like that.

would it be that hard to make a proper R/c version of the Fang ?

Thi vehicle looks really familiar. I want to say it was one of those cheap plastic things you can get from somewhere like Dollar General. I think I remeber even having one way back in the day. It's a pretty nice custom. I don't think I'd pay $40 for it, though.

would it be that hard to make a proper R/c version of the Fang ?Yes.

You would not be able to modify a fang to be remote controlled. (While it may be technically and theoretically possible to do, it certainly wouldn't be practical or neat, and you had better be a professional model builder.)

Your best option would be to purpose build one or modify an existing scale RC.

You would need to have a tilting rotor for directional movement and a counter rotor to stop the whole unit spinning wildly out of control. You would also need somewhere for the batteries, because the short life type of battery in this toy would not have enough longevity.

That’s a lot of motors and batteries and other bits to go inside a tiny little Fang.

it is a cheap Walmart toy from the late 80's/ early 90's I used to have one. it originally was silver and it had a clear blue canopy, the treads and guns were black and it had red and yellow racing stripe stickers. if i remember correctly it has a single tiny wheel in the from. there was also a black one with a red canopy I think... and if memory serves me there was also a plane that was similar, they came out about the same time as Captain power.

oh, and the silver part in the middle of the back is a trunk, it opened up and you could put stuff in it. the toy looks pretty rough.
