I just recently started collecting the series and felt I started it off right with one of the CC's and the Destro. Looking to get the ninjas next. I just really like the look of these figures, and the fact they're in a different scale is kind of cool too. It took me a little while to get used to it, but I just display them with my 12 inch Joe figures...it seems to go together fairly well. Can anyone tell me what the rarest figure is in this line?

Probably Recondo or the Dark Ninja Master. Or hell, if you can get your hands on a Dusty that would be like the holy grail. He was never released to the public.

I just picked up one of these guys in a garage sale for my boys. I like them I am going to look for more dirt cheap as they make cool outdoor toys, big and seem well made good for some rough play.

I have Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow and Spirit, as well as the motorcycles. I liked the mini figure line and have a few vehicles.

I have several of the 8 inch figures. I'd love to get Recondo because he looks so cool. And the alligator is awesome as well.
And I would love a Storm Shadow and a Destro. Probably the only two main characters I still need.

rarest of the standard release figure was Flamethrower Heavy Duty and Jetwing Duke
unreleased but redily available was ground pound Heavy Duty
other than that hard to find are the second wave of combat squad; torpedo, boulder and recondo
and an honorable mention to demolition TunnelRat and active camo hitech
there where variants like the 3 different color timbers with arctic snakeeyes, different skin tones for duke v1, skull keychain on long range, orange or green snakes with temple tracker spirit
rumored but seen but unconfirmed blue armor lt stone, red hair dark ninja master

ok check it out
rare as released and rare to find might be two different things
aside from the obvious dont even bother your not gonna find dusty and short fuze , the absolute rarest find right now would easily be The Ninja Tracker w/ Snake Eyes and also one of the coolest. It was a TJ Maxx exclusive. Rare find likely because those who have it, keep it.
Next would be Flamerduty. You can find him on ebay if you want to spend a bundle, ive seen a couple go in some recent lots. HITechv2 is rare but I havent seen him go top dollar in a while.
CObrafly is another Rare one because people who have him , keep em.
TRU Exclusive 3 pack with Backblast , Barrel Roll , and Deep Six 100% complete is very rare, in box would almost be a unicorn.
The combat squads are rare but they pop up more often than earlier waves.
High demand figures, regardless of rarity would be Flint, Shipwreck, Gung Ho, Lockdown, Destro v2, Commando SE , "Biker" SS, DNM and AT Recondo.
Ive sold a good couple hundred this year and the market fluctuates pretty rapidly. Ive sold a loose Spirit as high as $41 and have seen him go unbid on for $6, it really all depends on whose watching.
I collected the entire line of 78 (77 released figures and the GBHD) for my boys and have a good couple hundred more myself.
Ive a large stock that I havent put on ebay cuz the market does seem a tad low (but theres a bunch of decent priced BINs on ebay worth checking out) but if anyone wants to hit me up for a figure your looking for , ill gladly help out.
(I do have an In Box Ninja Tracker, but it will go top dollar or not at all :) )
Cheers!
(oh and one more thing, anything VP makes is worth buying, if ever I felt the urge to commision for a custom, Vanishing Point is who id be talking to.)

Yeah, I've bought some of those figures from you, ha ha. You're awesome by the way, with the discounts and the weapons crates and inserts and everything. I randomly check out your listings to see if you posted more sigma six auctions.
If I can get my hands on a Destro, Storm Shadow, and AT Recondo I would feel pretty complete...my bank account wouldn't, but I would.

Hell, I collected this line from the beginning and I never knew Recondo was rare. Wish I would have picked him up when I saw him.
Anyways, my three favorite figures from the line are:
1. Lt. Stone
2. Cobra Firefly
3. Flint
The ninjas are easy to find, so no need to worry about those. I'm still hunting down the Copter Snake Eyes and a Lockdown, along with the first version of Long Range. Out of those three, Long Range is proving to be the most difficult to find.

Wow I never knew the TRU pack was that rare, for the first time I have a Unicorn and it happened all by accident haha.
Are Stone and Zartan no longer high demand? I bought my one and only Stone for $60 and back when I bought him that was a really reasonable price. Zartan I got for around $20 I think and at the time that was considered lucky. That damn Cobra FF had always eluded me but at this point I'm pretty satisfied with my collection so I gave up on him. DNM is the most awesome figure I own period, I remember when they showed the proto and I thought it was amazing although many others didn't think so, it's the first time I ever bought 3 of one figure, one to open two to keep in box for display. I was lucky and got him when everyone was not interested or upset with him for some reason.
Damn how did you manage to get so many without going bankrupt? Lol. My incomplete collection took out my collection funds for over half a year.
What is a/the Ninja Tracker? I've remember everything else except that.
This had to be my favorite toy line of all time. POC is getting real close though.

I really recommend getting Commando Snake Eyes and Crime Boss Destro. Two of the coolest figures of the Sigma 6 line.
Sigma 6 was a very cool line. You will enjoy collecting this series. Check out the 2.5" series as well. They had some of the best vehicles for the GI JOE series ever. They had great vehicles like this gem:
2.5" Scale Deluxe Mission Sets - Night Ops V.A.M.P. (http://s6c.joebattlelines.com/toys/reviews/2inch/2006/deluxe/wave1/vamp.htm)

i think to be honest i own the entire line :)

LT Stone was my favourite i have 5 of him. One as Lt Stone and the others in cobra Trooper disguises as makeshift cobra troopers.
I own a lot thanks to the Sigma 6 Section over at another Joe Website.

stone and zartan are good sellers but high priced likely not. If your looking to get one you shouldnt expect to pay any more than 20 shipped for either.
Well I kinda did go bankrupt so to speak as i was collecting the line itself, but then I started selling off the extras and In box figures (i have no use for a toy in a box) and just started buying large lots, keeping what I wanted and selling off what i didnt. I still do, but havent seen too many lately.
Overall the demand for s6 is like on low tide, tho some sellers still have their insanely high prices with buy it now (example, at recondo @ $130 ? ) , where i last sold that same figure for like 30 or so, still a higher price than most but not nearly what crazy sellers are asking.
The Ninja Tracker was a TJ Maxx exclusive , it was a revamped Quad that originally came with Duke, with all new accessories and came with the only all black S6 Snake Eyes. I now have 2 cuz the last two ive seen on ebay didnt have high price tags and I know ill turn a profit, mabye at christmas.
Ive got another wave for ebay coming up soon, just have to go through my stock make sure theres nothing broken or missing, take pictures and post.
Anyone who wants a prepost list of what im selling just holler, ive found ti much easier to deal with forum fans than ebay.
cheers!

i hated sigma six at first because it was taking away my beloved 33/4 but then quickly fell in love. i got myself a pretty decent collection and i LOVE lt. Stone. Wouldn't mind seeing him in the idw comic book.

If G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero is my first love, Sigma 6 is my second. I absolutely love the toys, love the designs... Hasbro was truly innovative with this line and I hate that it gets such a bad rap just because it's in the wrong scale.
In fact, the Pursuit of Cobra line that everyone is so quick to lavish praise on takes a lot of elements from the Sigma 6 line and scales them down, and everyone is crazy about it (as well they should be). You can certainly tell that the same lead designer (John Warden) worked on both lines.
As for figure rarity, it's already been explained. Jet Pack Duke and Flamethrower Heavy Duty are by and large the rarest of the mainstream retail figures. They ended up in sort of a "half assortment" between Waves during the second year of launch and got lost in the distribution shuffle.
As Blitz said, too, the Night Tracker is another one that's tough to find, but not impossible... TJ Maxx was the only place to get it, but there were times that you could find a dozen or so at one stop.
At one point Lt. Stone was a valuable commodity, but a while after the line's end, Toys "R" Us somehow got stock of that wave, and Stone became plentiful at retail again, and is now much more reasonable on the secondary market.

I didn't realize the Ninja Tracker was a TJ Maxx Exclusive. I picked it up back in the day, and never did find another one. It has the coolest Snake Eyes.
I've been wondering if there was a market for these guys. I have quite a few still MIB that I can't quite bring myself to sell, but I've gotten close a few times.

Also, if you're a sigma 6 fan, general hawk's site is a must see.
So is Sigma 6 Central (http://s6c.joebattlelines.com/)

I don't think the Ninja Tracker was really a TJ Maxx exclusive, that was probably a misnomer. It was supposedly a mainstream release, then got cancelled, but then appeared at close out stores, and the primary location was TJ Maxx. But it was never designed and produced strictly as a TJ Maxx "excluisve" per se.
Glad you like the site(s)! Sigma 6 Central is a bitter sweet thing to me right now. I loved building that site and interacting with the community, but I get depressed about the Sigma line every time I think about it... :D

My thought process is that the line was too large to sustain itself, but eventually the 8 inch figures will make a comeback. They were too awesome to not get another chance.

Justin, I absolutely agree with you.
I collect 25th/modern era 3 3/4 joes, Sigma 6, and the Sideshow GI Joe line... I really enjoy the 3 different scales, and the Sigma's are by far the greatest value of the 3.
I have almost a complete collection, MISB and MOC. I also army built the Ninja BAT, SKY BAT, and Iron Grenadier. I have somewhere between 4-8 of each of those. I bought up a bunch of parachute dukes and ninja cycles on clearance a few years back, and have 4 ninja quads still MISB.
In my opinion by far the coolest is the snake eyes paratrooper figure. That was a hard one to find. It only showed up at a few west coast wal marts and a few tj maxx stores.

I liked the Sigma 6 line as well. The designs and figure configurations were great. My favorites are:
- Dark Ninja Master
- Paratrooper Snake Eyes
- Lt Stone

I was planning on making ebay postings for near 20 , but looks like ill be spending the day at the doctors for some stomach pain that wont go away. By next week i should have about 60 figures available, just about all loose and complete.
Anyone looking for any specific figure or want a list, let me know and ill be happy to work with you.
Cheers!
