Nice work. I saw them on OSW. As for Sideshow, if a hobbyist can do this, a manufacturer should be doing better than they are for that price. They can't even give Beachhead the right color pants.

Most of the parts are not really customs, it's all made out of parts that can be bought anywhere. Have you guys heard of Takara's CG girls and their 12 inch products?
I think it's pure nonsense to those who said it's better than Sideshow.
And you know what? It's not even Resolute customs.

Duke, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Flint, and Zartan are Resolute. The rest are ARAH except Helix. He also did Cover Girl and Tunnel Rat from DDP's Special Mission: Manhattan and an original Cobra snow trooper. These are more than just simple kitbashes. A lot of part modding is involved.

I just noticed, most of the posters here don't even collect sideshows or any 12" and blindly saying "Ohh this is better than Sideshow".
Seriously?

how many do you own?
Gaiagearwork is simply amazing.
No idea what or who this is, but a google search of images on variants of that name really does not bring up much for me to even compare too...
So Sideshow still tops :)

That's funny since no one in this thread mentioned whether or not they collected 12" figures.

Yes I do have Sideshow,BBI, Dragon, Soldier Story, DID, 21 Century.
The question do the people here that is so high on sideshow have any other band of 1/6th figures?

Yup I do. And I can say hands down Sideshow is still tops compared to esepcially BBI and 21st Century, mainly for thier gear and clothes for future customs if I ever get into doing 12inch doll customs like these :) no one does Joes like Sideshow... oh thats right those others do not have the rights to do it...so it's not a fair comparison really, maybe one day

Here's the whole thread

To each his or her own, I don't buy Sideshow because IMO they are to expensive. I fell like they should cost 80-90$ tops. Some of the figures in the OSW thread look better than Sideshows IMO but since they have customized parts they are not as clean as a mass produced item.

It's really not fair to compare a 120$ Sideshow figure to a 20-30$ 21st Century or a 50$ Bbi figure either. Put them up against a similar priced Hot Toys or Soldier Story figure.

He picked the list of comparisons figures and asked if anyone owns them so I answered accordingly to ones I own. I dont buy Soldier Story stuff, but my Hot Toys ones are not much better then sideshow tbh in fact I have had way less QC issues with the Sideshow stuff over the Hot Toys imports, my Predator: Dutch head just fell off the other day for no reason, have not touched him in over 8 months, just been in my display cabinet and it looks as is the plastic has denurtered or somthing.

Custom - 1 piece
Company - mass produce
Of course most customs will be better than the mass product that we buy. Doesn't anyone realise this? This is retarded. And also, how is that Snake Eyes resolute?

The gear may better than 21st, but BBI compares well to Sideshow gear. The 21st Super SSAM body and BBI's G3/G3.5 body are better articulated and have better range of motion than the Sideshow's body. BBI does better headsculpts than Sideshow. Beachhead looks like he has to gum his food. Sideshow is doing the same plastic berets 21st made almost 20 years ago. BBI made cloth berets and when they did do plastic berets, they were "flocked" to give them the look and feel of felt. I'll give Sideshow credit for some nice accesories(e.g. Snakes-eyes's ninjato, Beachhead's crossbow), but overall Firefly is the only figure that I like enough to buy.

Which is it?
When Gaiagear posted his SE, he called it "Resolute with a Twist". He did it before Resolute aired using the character sheet. It's not exact, but it's very close.

some i think ARE better than sideshow, others not so much. it depends on what character you talk about. i collect 12 inch dolls sparingly for a long time i wanted the hot toys predators and the hot toys/sideshow SOCOM use navy seal spectre doll. but i cant bring myself to pay that much for something i can make myself for a whole lot cheaper.
