These new 25th Anniversary figures are hard to come buy, so let's all help a brother out and share info!


My weekend findings:

Found (14.99 Class) Kung-Fu Grip Flint, Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow and Robo-Bike-Thing @ Wal-Mart Grant Line Road in Clarksville, In. Left behind at least one of each.


("Military Style Wave" 14.99 Class) Shockwave, Leatherneck and Desert Wolf @ Kmart Grant Line Road. ***Have also found this wave (this weekend) to be in stock at the Jeffersonville 10th Street and Lewis & Clark Kmarts as well as the Preston Highway Kmart in Louisville.***


Most importantly found 25th Ann. 4" Cobra Commander, Snake-Eyes, Flint and Storm Shadow @ Kmart GrantLine Road. Haven't found ANY other 25th Ann stuff anywhere.

Found my first 8" GIJoe "Adventure Team" sets @ Outer Loop ToysRUs in Louisville. Picked up Storm Shadow w/ Tiger and Recondo w/ Crocodile. None left, but keep your eyes peeled @ your local TRU.

Pretty cool sets IMO, although they are 23.99 @ TRU. When they hit the WalMarts I'm sure they will be 19.99...

Found case on a cart @ Toys R Us Outer Loop of 8" Metal Mayhem figures. Case contained 2x Snake-Eyes w/ Exo-Suit thing. Both are on the shelf now. I looked over one and just wasn't gonna pay 30 bucks for a 10$ figure (nice one though) and a "Exo Suit" thing I could care less about.

Wow, man. I feel really dumb for not checking that K-Mart on Grant Line. I saw all the new Sigma 6 stuff that Wal-Mart had early Wednesday morning and passed on it (for now). I did'nt even think to go into the K-Mart. I would've bought all those 25th singles.

It's nice to see so many people in my precise neck-of-the-woods on this forum. We should start helping each other out. I don't know exactly where you live KY/IN but my friends and I usually make a "toy/hobby run" every Wed. We could probably meet up somewhere if the circumstance every calls for it. IE; I'm currently looking for all the 25th singles.

Cool. I live in Louisville but Southern In. is always part of my hunt. If I find more single packs I can pick them up and sell at cost. I'll certainly try. I still need a Wave 1 Cobra Officer and both of the Wave 1 5-packs...

It seems that I'm gonna need to widen my search. The Sears Essentials huh? The best thing I ever saw there was the ML Sentinel Series when they were new and htf. I hardly ever checked regular K-Marts before going on the hunt for 25th.

I already have the two 5-pks, but I want to get a set to keep sealed as well. Thanks for the heads up on the AT reissues. The entire set is not a priority for me right now, but I will pick up the "G.I.Joe Adventurer" as soon as I see him. Thanks.

Alright, alright! I was just at the Riverfalls TRU today (8/8), and I killed the case of 25th's they had. I got 7 figs, one was missing. Probably the variant Snake-Eyes. I did'nt get him. They had six 5-pks as well if anyone needs them.

All the Walmarts I visited today (I went to all of them in the area except Grantline) were "redoing" their toy aisles. The one on Westport Rd even had 25th shelf tags up. So either tommorrow or Friday, whoever gets there first, will have the mightiest garrison of CO's.

In other news, of all the Wally's I went to, I only saw one retro AT; The Land Adventurer. I left him there, opting for the Legendary Heroes variant Savage Dragon. The Walmart in Clarksville had a case on the shelf, and 4 shelf displays ready to be put up. Each display/case had 1 set of the 3 variants. So when I left, they had 4 TT Dragons, 5 clear J-Deaths, and 5 maskless SuperPatriots.

The Great Escape also had like every Marvel Legend MIP. Someone must have sold their collection. I've done that a couple of times.

GIJOE- Most Louisville Targets and TRU's have the 5-packs but the damn single packs are nowhere... I want more officers!

Found a lone Voyager Megatron @ WalMart Bardstown/Gene Snyder this morning 1:30AM. Voyager Prime was already gone. No deluxes @ Any WalMarts except Wrekage and Bonecrushers... Disturbingly WalMart Clarksville has the "filler" wave of old Classics and Energon stuff... Watch them be shelf warmers and further delay new movie waves...

Both Clarksville and Bardstown Rd Wallys had at least 1 set each of Movie Wave Robot Heroes, I passed on these for now.

Hurstbourne WalMart had Savage Dragon. Super-Patriot and Witchblade of the Legendary Heroes but not any more.

I know your first and last name from your comic-hold file and deduced it had to be you. 100% confirmation came when I saw your interview on Battlelines.

The Wal-mart In Cordon Has Nothing In The Way Of 25th Anv.....

I was out and about today looking for cool stuff. I did'nt see any Joe stuff worth mentioning, accept for most of the TRUs in the area now have plenty of "Steel Brigade/Plague Trooper" 6 pks. And someone (probably someone that might be reading this thread), goes out, buys multi-packed figs (Joes and SW), opens them, takes out figures they want, replaces them with different figs, and returns the entire pack to the store. That is very annoying. I did'nt need that 'tampered with' 25th Cobra 5pk at the Riverfalls TRU, but if I did I would have been pissed.

Anyway, I spent plenty on new TF movie stuff. I got: '08 Bumblebee, G1 color Jazz x2 (awesome by the way), Payload, Dropkick, Longarm, Recon Barricade, Arcee, G1 color Starscream, Voyager Prime x2, and a Fight Gear Clubber Lang. I passed on FB Jazz (even though he comes with the movie accurate gun), Leader Class Brawl (every store had at least 1, so I'll probably pick him up later), Dreadwing, Rescue Ratchet, and ThunderCracker.

All those are out in various Targets and Wal-Marts in the area. Clubber was found at the KayBee in Clarksville. Peace-out.

Oh yeah, the Hot Topic in Greentree had Futurama figures.

I was out Wed and almost every store I went to had 5-pks. Even Wal-Mart(s). I picked up a another Cobra pk because it had a prestine box.

Lexington KY - The Target had the Single packs and the 8inchers this past weekend. The Wal-Mart had the 5Packs and a few 8Inchers. TRU had only 2 5Packs left.

After a way too long hiatus I resumed my hunt last night starting @ midnight.
Hit WalMarts on Grantline Road, Veteran's Pkwy, Westport Road, Hourstbourne Lane and Bardstown/265- nada!

No new Transformers anywhere- just empty shelves. I laughed out loud @ the Bardstown/265 WalMart when I saw that some of the mountains of Cybertron Primus they had gotten in were stocked in the deluxe section, laid atop the empty peg hooks!

Not much GIJoe either. Most stores had a couple 5-packs but Hourstbourne alone had an assortment of single carded fugures...

Finally had luck @ Preston WalMart- had the pleasure of opening a fresh case of Transformers Movie Deluxes! Got '08 Bumblebee, Longarm and Payload. Left another '08 Bee, Arcee and 2x Final Battle Jazz in the case I opened on a pallet behind the bike rack @ around 2:00am this morning. I just need Dropkick now...

I like the set but if the Hasbro goofballs had left out the Storm Shadow and Cobra Commander and added in 2 more of any of the "troops" then I know I'd be picking up 3 or 4 of these!!!

Yeah, Infinitron, if you happen to come across any extra while hunting, don't leave them behind. This goes to anyone else local too. If you pick me up some, I'll give buy them from you and give you something for your trouble. Both versions of Stalker and Lady Jaye are priority for me right now.

I have cases ordered from BBTS right now but you know I can't wait. And damn Hasbro for having such horrible case-breakdowns! I need 2 of EACH fig. It looks like I'll have plenty V2 SE by years end.

Yeah, This is getting ridiculous. I'm tired of driving to all the different stores only to find empty pegs. I'm glad I got wave 3 and 2 figs. from wave 2, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay scalper prices to get the rest I need. I have a feeling the next fiqs. to hit Walmart and Target will be wave 4 in Nov.

Worst comes to worst, I'll sell my small 25th collection and concentrate on my vintage collection. Speaking of which, anyone on here interested in trading vintage figs?

I did pick up a wave 2 Buzzer today at the Zone for 9.99. If i'm gonna have to pay 10 bucks each to be able to get this series I may rethink collecting these at all. :(

I was out searching Saturday and I saw that Buzzer at The Zone. At first I was pissed, being that I could have ordered a case from Diamond and would have already had them. Then decided to pass on Buzzer not because he was $10, but because he looks like crap. Looking at that fig also put things into perspective for me. I'm killing myself trying to find the 25th annie figs (when MOST of them aren't even that great) when I have a massive vintage collection at home that I've been neglecting.

I guess I'll just wait until BBTS sends me my preordered 25th cases, and until then I'll enjoy the REAL toys that made RAH so cool in the first place.

They have the usual comic related toys, manga, etc.

Occasionally they will have a few currently "hot" toys like Joes or Star Wars, etc.

I just went to TRU next to the Castleton Mall,
and they had several Cobra Boxes and a couple of single figures. I didn't buy any cuz I already had them,
so please go look for those still searching!

Targets in northern kentucky and cincinnati have been restocking like crazy.Once a week for the past few weeks.I was at the florence target on thursday and they had all of wave3 except stalker.I got the last zartan, shipwreck & firefly.They had 3 cobra officers and a few red ninjas left.I also scored a yellow stalker last week at the florence biggshyper.I left a few other wave 3 figures.The targets in cinci stock 3 cases a week as of late.Last week wave2 this week wave 3.It was only a few weeks before that they did the same thing,wave2 one week and wave 3 the next.I have searched all over, target seems to be the best place to look.Usually mornings thursday-sunday.Good luck.

They have been hitting in the area I have seen the leftovers but don't get there in time to get the goodstuff Walmart in Hillview got 5 cases and they were all gone but the peg warmers in 2 hours(Scalper?)On a side note over at Joe Battlelines I have started a Kentucky/Indiana section called Kyana Skull Squad come on over and join once we get enough people we can plan a gettogether.

Went @ lunch hour to:

Target Outer Loop- Picked up Stalker, Shipwreck, Zartan, Red Ninja and 3x Cobra Officers**. (r these wave 3?) At least 1 each remained of all except Cobra Officer.

Target Bashford Manor- They had fresh stock of same wave. Left all behind except 2 more Cobra Officers**.

After work I hit the St Matthews and Hourstbourne Targets- same wave in stock. Got last Cobra Officer** @ Hourstbourne.

No sign of Serpentor, Lady Jaye or Beachhead anywhere... wave 2? Oh well, now I am almost caught up. It looks like it's either hit Targets early on weekday mornings religiously or give up paying retail.

Ah this isn't cool at all... which one of you guys is camping out in central Kentucky and scooping up everything in the Lawrenceburg/Frankfort Area?

That's not accusing so much as whining since I'm always about a day late on finding anything.

Keep hitting those stores.They get restocked pretty regular.I think targets are your best bet.I have had no trouble finding multiple sets of wave 2 & 3(I didn't buy multiple sets just saw them).Targets keep restocking more cases on a more regular bases.Also they will get lots of toys the week before thanksgiving.I believe some stores may hold stock back untill then.I also think wal-mart is a bust.Scalpers tend to lurk there.I was hitting one every morning at 7:30 on my way to work.Inever saw anything.At the same time I bought both wave 2&3 at target.I was at walmart one night as they were restocking and was told that some guy comes in really late or reallyearly and buys Joes,transformers,star wars and some other misc. stuff and sells them at a flea market.

Sorry to ramble.Point is target is good.Keep trying they will keep restocking.They have said there will be cases of wave 1 being restocked at some point.It's almost christmas there will be joes everywhere.

Target does seem to be the best place to buy right now. I jusy got back from the Clarksville store where I got 2 Stalkers and a Zartan (my first of wave 3, I still have no wave 2). None of the 3 cards are NM. Seems that all the "variants" have shipped already, but I'll stay hopeful.

Can anyone help out with a trade/affordable Yellow Stalk or Blk Timber SE?

Poplar Level K-Mart had one case of Wave 3 today. I scooped up the Cobra Officer, Red Ninja, and Fire Fly. What they had left if anyone is interested:
1 Shipwreck (anchor)
1 Stalker (green)
1 Zartan (no "face change" blurb)
1 Storm Shadow
1 Snake Eyes (white Timber of course)

For months SE and SS were the only figures, besides the 5-packs, that I ever saw in the Louisville area. I've seen part of Wave 2 (No Beachhead or Trooper) once recently, but plenty of Wave 3.

The MP's were on an end cap on the back side of the Joe/Wrestling Figure aisle, near the board games. There's maybe 10 or so Primes and only the three Starscreams. My Wave 2 case came in from BBTS yesterday, I have to assume its a new batch of figures given the production numbers [72532], the Beachhead in there did have the new crotch piece.

It might be even less than that, man. I was at the Clarksville Target, Thursday morning. They had the 2 usual shelf-warmers, SE and SS, a Buzzer and Serpentor. With only having 1 each of SE and SS, I deduce they only got 1 case.

It's funny how the distribution works nowadays compared to the 80's when a case of Joes was 32 figs.

At least with the MP Starscream out, I feel better about having to get up early in the morning and having something to look for other than Joes.

She told me that she placed an order a month ago and still haven't received it yet, bummer! The good news is the size of the order........240 figures! = 30 cases!!!!!! She said she's gonna do a Joe display out in the floor area instead of the isle.

I was there today and the 30 case order got cancelled (manager doesn't know why) and was replaced by a 3 case order.She said she hasn't had Joes for 2 months.Part of the problem is toys are ordered a year in advance and a year ago that store didn't exist.The Hasbro rep was also there and I had a nice chat she told me there aren't any Joes in the area and niether her or her boss know why,But they are trying to get them here.They hope to hjave this fixed by the end of the year.

They're hard to find, but I've picked up both wave 2 and wave 3 in the area in the last 2 weeks. I've seen them enough that I have 5 Officers, multiple Red Ninjas, and passed over multiple Fireflys.

I picked up a loose Flint and loose Beachhead at a comic shop yesterday because I've never seen Flint anywhere else MOC or loose.

I also found 2 Cobra Troopers from the 2005/2006 TRU exclusive waves hidden at a TRU yesterday. They are nice figures for an era that is basically forgotten now.

Fair enough. I've seen wave 2 a few times, most recently at a Target last week, but the troopers were already gone each time. Some friends and I were able to get complete sets, sans troopers.

Found Flint and a Cobra Trooper at Target in Okolona last night. They had multiples of the rest of wave 2.

I found mutiple cases of both Wave 2 and the new case assortment Wave 3 at Walmarts in Madisonville,Hopkinsville and Owensboro today.

^^^^If I believed in Karma I'd have to say it was a result of giving up that Flint the one night. Was able to get all of Wave 4 off of HTS that night afterwards, and then Flint and the Snake Eyes last evening. I don't know. Probably going to have to check some more places today after I get done with my exam. I figure there are some places I can dip into over in Indiana while I'm out getting that comic since Great Escape hadn't gotten in new stuff last night.

Yeah, I found those during the weekend. I hadn't checked in a week but I'd been over to Vincennes and I just lumped Vincennes and E-ville together. Maybe since I haven't checked Vincennes for a couple of days noe maybe they have something.
I ordered 2 cases of Wave 4 off of BBTS since their price wasn't too bad. Plus I had some store credit, no idea where it came from, so 2 cases shipped cost me $77 and some change. Not bad, I say. Tracking number says it'll show up tommorow so I'm looking foward to that, and HTS should be getting 2 Zartans, 2 Red Ninjas, 1 Shipwreck and 1 Stalker sent my way pretty soon.

I got the SS, Destro, Scarlett and Air Troopers that were at Dixie that day. Was going to buy the Cobra Commander, but the card was a tad scuffed up (pretty picky). Already have Duke, Roadblock and Gung Ho, so I left them, too.

Found Wave 5 this morning at Walmart in Fairdale.New Albany,Dixie,Hillview and Okalona were all a wasted trip.

They had 3 cases of wave 5 (which I now own), plus plenty of Flints and Cobra Troopers I left behind. Maybe this is THE big shipment before JC's B-Day!

C'mon man, it's not like that. Like I said I only hit the one store. I sent the word out to let everyone know to check EVERY Wal-Mart. And I'm really not a scalper. I'm honest in telling you I will buy to sell, if the money is right, but this ain't one of those times. I have at least 3 of every 25th (including crappy ones like GungHo and Buzzer). Yes, I am A army-builder. That's really all the fun in 1/18 figs. Yesterday I bought 3xIGDestros, 3xBlkSE, 3xSnow, 2xFlash, 1xFlint, 5xCG's and 7xCT's. I could've gotten all the Flints, but I'm not a scalper. If I were, I probably would'nt have posted anything in the first place.

And for anyone who might need anything (Joe-wise), I still need a Black Timber SE and Yellow Stalker.

Hey guys. I'm not angry that someone has recently mistaken me for a scalper. It's cool. But we are really throwing that word around, and in the wrong directions, way too much. That being said, has anyone checked the HTS Joe section lately? Look at the prices on those graded PimpDestros! I saw earlier where they were gonna be "scalping" their own product for a mere $100. Now it's $230! WTF up with that? Apalling.

I went hunting all day yesterday and all I found was 1 measly Crimson Guard. Someone must of hit my Walmart minutes before I got there. At least they left a CG behind ( or they didn't see him since he behind 4 other figs.)

I have to take madmacs and infinitrons side on this. I make enough money to buy two of each fig. One to open and one to keep moc ( except for a few extra troopers and officers.) When I found multiple cases of wave 3 and 4 I decided that due to their scarcity I only bought one of each and informed my fellow collectors on this site out my sighting.
If it was like the glory days of Joe and there was many many pegs of figs for everyone, then fine , buy 3 cases. But at this time with people spending time and gas to find these figs and coming up empty handed, I personally think 3 cases of one wave is hoggish.

I heard that after the first of the year that Target and Walmart are going to have pegs again with Joes. They both are gonna do resets so hopefully that'll be able to quench our Joe thirst.

I hope my comments didn't egg the other negativity on, but I'm sure it did. And for that I am truly sorry.

I wouldn't personally buy 3 cases of the latest wave, whether I had the money to blow or not, knowing what a b@lls ache they are to find. I'd rather more folks have a shot at getting a Gold Destro and Crimson Guardsman, etc.

That being said, I would be a hypocrite if I bashed "troop building," as I buy extra Cobra Soldiers and Officers all the time. Of course, Soldiers and Officers are normally the last remnants on the pegs keeping fresh cases from being put out. But how many Iron Grenadier Destro's or Snowjobs does one army need?

Because they are comparably inexpensive too collect, I myself (who opens everything to display) look to have a second MOC copy of certain figures. But I only buy the duplicates once they are evidently plentiful. I.E. I have MOC CC, Cobra Trooper and Officer to keep for posterity.

So obviously these matters are a judgment call we all make. Although I thing you were being hoar-dish with the Wave 5 figs, I certainly don't think you should be crucified for it or even insulted. I really just wanted to flick you in the ribs in a way that stung but went away fast... :D

We all need to catch our breaths and think about what we are saying to each other. This is not war and peace, just little toy soldiers we put on shelves and stare at as if we have accomplished something great.

I sold/gave all my W5 thirds to my best friend. He had all the '88-'89 Grenadiers as a kid, and as soon as he saw the new Destro, a new monster was created. He did'nt even have a single 25th before that.

Late yesterday I hit the St Matthews Target and ToysRus, the Westport Road WalMart, Target and Meijers, Hourstboune WalMart AND Clarksville WalMart, ToysRUs and Target. Out of all these stores I found exactly Jack and Sh*t. :D


The good news is that GIJoe 3-3/4"/4" figures are as hot as the Spears sister's well used ovaries. Sooo after all is said and done we will be getting more 25th figures than originally planned due to their success. And that is good indeed.


By the time Christmas returns week comes and goes there will probably be so many figures on the shelves we will start using Crimson Guardsmen and IG Destros to pelt WalMart clerks from above, distracting them as we rummage through fresh, unopened cases still on their pallets for wave 6 and 7. :rolleyes: Old collectors never die, they just fade away into the dark corners of the Great Escape, anonymous sentinals of old, faded and forgotten heroes... waiting... patiently... waiting... for the next retcon, re-boot, re-issue or collector's edition to give their lives meaning anew...

Same story today, nada.The only thing I've seen is the Wave 3 repack at TRU.

Found wave 1 comic packs at Target by the Jefferson Mall.Snakeyes and Hawk do NOT have the fixed crotches.

Walmart on Shelbyville Rd. has the 5 packs on sale for $17.00. They had a good supply of all 3. I'm gonna wait and see if they get discounted more. 10 or 12 bucks ea. would be sweet.

I just got back from shopping this morning. Most Targets and Wal-Marts had full cases of the Comic 2-pks. Some Wal-Marts had Destro/Breaker and Ripper/Torch. Breaker has the new battle-crotch but SE and Hawk still do not.

Targets clearance items are still only 30% off.

The Hawk figure I bought did have the new crotch. Bought it yesterday in Frankfort. 72971 was the D.O.M. Passed on the Snake-eyes, so I don't know.

Managed to catch- up on Wave 1 & 2 Comic packs last night/early this morning.

I went to every WalMart except Dixie and the only one with Comic Packs left was Outer Loop. Got my Destro/Breaker and Torch/Ripper there. Left behind 1 each of what I bought as well as 2 each of the rest of that wave.

I picked up my Wave 1 Packs @ Target Dixie earlier that evening leaving multiples of each, plus PLENTY of Single Pack Wave 2/3. Target Outer Loop also still had a couple of each of Wave 1 Comic Packs.

For anyone wanting Wave 4, The Great Escape had all I think except for CC and for a reasonable 7.99 Each.

I finally found the Drednoks and Destro/ Breaker today at the New Albany Walmart.These were the olny 2 comic packs left out of all them.On a side note the sticker was missing from the Destro?Breaker pack it looks like it was left out by Hasbro as I didn't see any signs of it being opened.

Went all over late last night- every Wally and Meijer in Louisville/Southern Indiana. Nothing.
When I arrived home I had a mild nervous breakdown and afterwards e-bought Blade-hav'n Gold Destro off a guy in Ohio, 15$ shipped. Problem is, this morning early I STILL went out and made fruitless trips to 3 Targets. WTF( St Matthews Target had 1x Serpentor. Every other store featured only the most ambiguously gay duo of peg-warmers, hood-sport'n Cobra Commander and Shipwreck.

Ah the leftovers of wave 5... I didn't even look to see if the shipwrecks I found had the missing anchor on them the other day.

Stopped by Target on Outer Loop today to find the pegs full of wave 4. I picked up one each of the half of the wave I still needed (CC, Destro, Scarlett and Cobra Air Trooper) and left plenty behind on the pegs.

Got lucky today and found 4CC , Snake Eyes W5 , Snow Job, and Flash today on my little journey to Louisville. Best part was that 5 of em was at a wal mart .

Was just at Hillview Wal-Mart less than an hour ago and they had two or three pegs full of Wave 3 comic packs. I grabbed a full set for myself and left at least two of each pack behind.

I stopped there the day after your post, unfortunately, and everything was gone. I almost can't beleive how fast everything sells out!

Anyone still looking for wave 4? Now would appear to be your time. I went on a hunt last night and several WalMarts (New Albany, Clarksville, Outer Loop) were pretty loaded up. I now have a small army of Air Troopers. Kinda weird to hear reports of Wave 6 on the west coast when I know plenty of folks around here who are dying for wave 5...

IN northern KY,on the Dixie hwy(near I-275)K-mart had all of wave 5.there were 2x crimson gaurds 2xflash all still siting there as well as a shipwreck,hooded cc and wave 1 SE

TRU in Clarksville had most of wave 4 (minus Gung Ho) and all Wave 1 comic packs.

TRU in Okolona had wave 1 comic packs.

Targets in Clarksville and Okolona had, you guessed it, more wave 1 comic packs and no singles.

I think the figures are even harder to find now than they were before Christmas.

Finally found my 1st Wv 3 Comics Packs yesterday after work @ Target St Matthews. Picked up one each of Fred & Scarface, SE vs SS and Ace vs Wild Weasel. Someone had already got to the Crimson Twins. Blast!!!

Hit all the other Targets in the are after that to no avail- no more wave 3 anywhere at all.

Hourstbourne Target was well stocked with wv 3, 4 and Flash and CG's from wv 5.

This was definetly a luckier night for me. After I got done watching my man Anderson Silva unify the UFC middleweight and Pride welterweight championship belts, I headed over to the nearest Wal-Mart (Clarksville). They had their exclusive deluxe movie TFs and many cases of the new SW figs.

I hit Clarksville right around 1:00AM and found a case on the pallets myself. Yes indeed, a great night for WalMarts... Managed to crack a couple cases of '08 Wv 2. I also had a problem with stockers too, especially in Clarksville. That's why you should always bring your own utensil to "help" them open the cases. I find that brandishing a spider, or butterfly knife usually helps them realize their gratitude. LOL.

I'm phobic of knives, blades, and other pointy or sharp instruments, so normally I just use car keys. To tell you the truth, that New Albany Walmart is the only location where stockers give me a hard time. There were several stockers nearby when I spotted the case in Clarksville the other night- didn't say a word. Then again, once it was in my hands, no force on earth was taking it away from me.

Snow Day Findings:

Walmart Outer Loop has a couple each of Wv 1-3 Comic Packs, except Tomax and Zamot, after I snagged the one pack I saw.

Walmart Bashford also has healthy stock of Wv 1-3, but 0 Tomax/Zamot.

Buddy of mine found 2 sets of Wave 6 at Wal-Mart on Dixie last night. He got one for each of us.

Here in Louisville/Southern IN, for the past 2 weekends, the WM's have gotten multiple cases of W5 & 6. W3 Comic pks yesterday too.

Do they clear out quick though? Wave 4 is sitting on the shelves here and I guess its just enough to not warrant ordering more.

Yeah, they don't last too long, I don't think. Especially the Siegies if I'm there. I was just told by a friend of mine the New Albany and Clarksville WMs restocked yesterday as well. I can vouch for friday so that makes it two days in a row. I'm thinking in the next few weeks, the 25th will finally become readily available at most retailers. But I've been wrong about that before.

I remember a lot of talk about how the 25th would be overflowing on the shelves at Christmas time and it was the exact opposite. At least around here. I guess I can hope for it next Christmas.

Hello, everyone! I'm new here, so I thought I'd share the results of my (unlucky) travels yesterday for all the other Louisville-area collectors:

I should mention that most of these places have comic 2-packs, but I've got all of those already so I don't pay much attention to specifics. Of all the stores I hit, I'd say only 1 or 2 didn't have any, and most had several on the pegs.

Outer Loop Target: no singles

Outer Loop Toys R Us: 3 Elite Air Troopers, no exclusives (NOTE: All of their 25th Joe selection is on a small endcap, not in the normal military toy area.)

Outer Loop Wal-Mart (by Jeff Mall): no singles

Shepherdsville Wal-Mart: no singles

Outer Loop Wal-Mart (by New Cut Rd): no singles,

So there you have it. Lots of driving and not much luck. I didn't even bother with the Elite Air Troopers because I've already got 10 and I haven't even opened 5 of them yet. No need to stockpile beyond what I'm going to use.

I plan on hitting a few more places around the Ville later this week, so I'll keep everyone posted.

EDIT: I hit the new Wal-Mart on the Greenbelt Highway too. They have no single figs, but one each of the 2-packs for Ace/WW, Fred/Scarface, and Destro/Breaker.

Anyone been asking about the Target stuff. I'm pretty much in no man's land for Targets here, but Lousville's only an hour away.

Nada here in Louisville. Went out looking today. Street date is April 14th, and they'll probably be pretty firm about it around here (unless you are in with the crew members, which I'm not).

Kinda what I figured... which is good and bad. Guess it means we all get a fighting chance. Guess it also means we oughta start deciding who goes to which store on the 13th... heh.

I honestly think that the 4/13 date is confusing the average employee because as far as I'm reading, that's just a suggested "release by now" date and they're not catching that. Kinda like buying milk, you know?

It's been mostly Buzzers to be found around here lately. To be fair, I do have everything up to this point and am waiting to see the Spirit wave, but it's been slooooooooooow around here lately as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know about these exlusives... It seems Hasbro's clown-shoes distribution of the 25th figures has made them ALL feel like "exclusives."


If I happen to stumble across them I'll definitely pick them up but I'm not going to go to any extra effort to find them... I have enough stress in my life as it is. I collect Joes for fun and leisure, not to add to my list of balls-aches.

scored my vehicles tonight in Louisville. The target on watterson and westport rd said they only had the Awe Striker and Sharc but i overheard the stockroom guy say that no way in hell was he Gonna let the hiss tanks loose yet. But the target in St. Mathews was real nice and the stockroom employee said that i could buy im all if i wanted to that it was first come first serve. So in closing i picked up 1 Awe Striker, 1 Sharc, and 3 HISS tanks total. Possibly 38 more complete cases at St Mathews Target.

Scored one each of the Target exclusives at the Dixie Highway location. Nothing on the shelves, but a DCPI search showed them in the stockroom. Two very helpful employees pulled one of each for me, but I have no idea how many more are in the back.

I haven't opened them up yet, but a vehicle + figure for $9.99 isn't a bad deal at all!

Just returned from a quick trip to Clarksville WalMart. They had, on a rolling cart and also a pallet, a total of 4x cases of Indiana Jones 12" action figures.

The cases were marked with the nasty red letters "May 1st street date blah blah do not sell blah blah." So naturally I reached for my trusty keys and sliced a case open.

Evidently this first wave consists of "Talking Indy" featuring an ugly chest- speaker, "Whip Action Indy" with a less obnoxious switch on his back for activating his 40-lashes-Nazi-smackdown, "Cairo Swordsman" with... sword and snakes, I hate snakes and "12" Shia Lebeuf" which is just troubling. No 12" "Nazi Scum" in this assortment, though he is on the back of the package.

The first Indy I pulled out, having only seen his hat, was the ugly giant-chest-speaker-Indy and unfortunatley that was when old- man rotten stocker pounced from out of nowhere and went all narc on me... After I played nice and told him the normal stock ladies usually let me take what I want he told me to go ahead and take it since I had it out. Of course moments later I looked at and hated this Indy and had to wait a while and sneak back to the case when old sketchy stock guy wasn't looking. I happily settled on Whip Indy and the Arab Swordsman and scrammed.

By some miracle these did scan at the register without problems, in spite of the street date. Thank Crom, considering the B.S. I went through.

Never had any of the Indy toys as a child so I've got quite a nerd-buzz right now... can't wait for the 3-3/4" figures...

Yes they are! It's my personal goal to be the first to find them but when I do you guys will be the first to know.

As of 11:00am today (April 22), the Target on Taylorsville Rd (near the Hurstborne intersection) had two AWE Strikers, one HISS tank, and one Night Spector.

They are on an endcap in the middle of the checkout lanes in the front of the store.

April 28: TRU on Dixie has 1 one the 3-pack with the Blue Cobra Commander and troopers. They also have a few singles (Serpentor and Buzzer, but some Troopers and Elite Airs as well).

I used DCPI 087060021 at Target and it was listed as a 25th Anniversary Assortment, but none were on the shelves or in any of the stockrooms yet.

TRU Outer Loop has (right now at 12:19PM as I type) at least 2x each of the Officer 3 Packs!

Well, if you have been to ANY stores today, you already know that these have hit the shelves. And they are also flying off of the shelves! Get out there now if you want to find anything other than Shia "Mutt" Lebeuf.

Check the Target on Bardstown Rd. I grabbed Viper (x2), HISS (x1), and Snake-Eyes (x1). They still had Wild Bill, Spirit, Snake-Eyes and HISS driver on the pegs as of 11:00am today (Saturday, May 3).

The Wal-Mart on Greenbelt had two Wave 7 figs last night, but I snagged them both (Duke and HISS) so they are tapped now.

Tempting but unlikely, I swore I'd stay away from ebay in an attempt to "fill in the gaps" created in this line. I'll let Hasbro tell me what to buy new. Besides, if the mold still exists, I can't see Hasbro not using it later on.

Wal-Mart on the main drag in Paducah had at least 20 Vipers last night, some with the 25th logo up top and others with the "Cartoon" logo.

TRU on Dixie Hwy. has a ton of the 3 packs. Roughly 5 of each. Except the Crimson set, only 4 of those.

WalMart on Shelbyville Rd.(close to the Snyder) has 4 or 5 cases of wave 8.

my wife is in Ky this week visiting her brother has any one seen any of the Target vehicles still in stores??? i'd like her to try and grab some if there is any cause they never showed up where i live in SD, i just have 1 target here

A week after the release date they were gone and I haven't seen
any since.(Thats only 2 Targets close to me but others might have some.) I have my family in PA searching for some but they haven't had any luck either.

Target and Wal-Mart in Hamburg in Lexington had zilch for singles. Wal-Mart's ordering tags were hanging up, looking like they haven't had anything in weeks. They have 56 cases on order for 6/21, but I doubt that'll be filled.

Anybody that's in Western KY holler at me if you need some Python Patrol Officer's. There's an army here. I don't want them.

Lucky bum, I just found my first Python "Officer" this weekend hidden behind some Spider-man toys. I don't really want that many, but it'd be nice to see them more often.

I haven't seen anything besides comic packs and Cobra Commanders in more than a month.

Well, I found the newer Wild Bill and Torpedo early yesterday morning after work. So I just missed wave nine here. But from what I can tell, none of the other Wal-marts around have shown any interest in restocking.

Yeah, not much activity on the Ky sightings board. Anyone as disgruntled as I am? I've just now finally found the new comic packs. (@KMart, no less!)

It continues to be a depressing task, hunting 25th figures. If I wasn't also a collector of Transformers I would not be on the look-out at all.

The 25th collection has been consistently selling out for what, well over a year now? And wether it be Hasbro or the retail chains' call, not a damn hint of improved distribution or larger shelf space. I can only reasonably assume that there never will be and that it's by design.

I have been really pumped about the new vehicle releases but I have a feeling finding them is going to be even worse than hunting the figures, if the Target Exclusives were any indication.

I've still got my eyes open in stores but I have a feeling most of my Joe purchases going forward will be on-line. And after 25th is over, I'm not very inclined to support new animated series or movie toys. I even have a bad gut instinct that the almost perfect 3-3/4" 25th figure style will be ditched for something completely different for new movie and cartoon toys... Why? Because Hasbro seems to be 1/2 genius and 1/2 total moron.
If time proves otherwise I will gladly eat my words.

Nothing new out west. No wave 4 comic packs, No wave 9, no vehicles. One Target literally had 8 mass device CC's and that was it. Nothing on the pallets except Iron Man Figs either.

Funny, there was nothing but Batman Figures on the pallets here recently. Sadly, stores still seem forced to cater to the trends of the latest impulse buys. I did find the Wave four comic sets, though in little quantity and two of them were flattened. Since reading of a 7/21 release on the Vehicles, I'm not too concerned there...

But you're right, snackrabbit, I've been securing orders through BBTS from the start, the hunt's more or less a "for old times..." thing for me. I had hoped that the increased sales and stocking that seems to happen across the rest of the country would happen here. Doesn't seem that way though, does it?

I have been hitting the stores regularly and haven't found anything.Wait,I take that back,Target on Turfway had a set of vehicles on clearance for 2.49 a piece.So I bought them.The odd thing is that is one of the few targets I never saw them at.Must have had a case lost in the stock room.

2 cases wave 9 and wave 7 at FT. mitchell Wal-mart as of this morning.Walmart on ridge in cincinnti had the same 4 cases.TRU florence had wave 9,now just the WB and torpedo.I was glad to see that 2 young boys were walking out with the some joes(some wave 9 figs)Also had plenty of 3 packs and 5 packs.

Bashford Manor Target in the Ville had all of Wave 7 this morning if anyone is still looking for anything from that wave.

Found wave nine this morning after work. They hadn't been on the pegs ten minutes when I snagged them.

I picked up 12" Flint & Cobra Trooper @ TRU Clarksville, at least 1 each of the 4 in that wave left.

VEHICLES:

Scored Serpentor / Joe Motorcycle set and Flight Pod / Armadillo set @ TRU Outer Loop. No HISS or Vamp and nothing left.

Clarksville and St Matthews both HAD stock because tags were out- but nothing left.

Dixie didn't even have tags.

Hopkinsville, "Hoptown"

I went to the St. B Wal-mart last night in Clarksville, TN right below you in Hopkinsville. And they had some figures form wave 7 and 8 and 1 vamp left (I got the last Hiss). Plenty of Vipers like 4, 7 Cobra Commanders from wave 4 and 8, 4 Snake Eyes wave 7, 2 Duke w/ jetpack, 1 Spirit, and 1 Wild Bill. They also had the new 12" figures but I could care less about those. I know this is in Clarksville, but maybe by helping the people in Hoptown out they could return the favor.


Besides no one helps out in the TN forum.

Ah I ain't seen Vehicle one yet. I think the lacking sale of Indiana Jones vehicles has my haunts scared.

As of this afternoon, Wal-Mart at Bashford Manor had 1 Air Chariot vs. Armadillo, a couple Hiss Tank's w/ Rip-it, plus the usual horde of Vipers.

Ft.mitchell Wal-mart had 2 armadilo/serpentor and some wave 7.It looks like they had at least 3 cases.I bought a complete set.when I got there they had 3 of the armadilo sets.Florence is usually a day behind,so anyone in that area should keep an eye out.

Given that I burned up a quarter tank of gas for nothing, I haven't been hunting around much this week. Still, I did discover a new to me Wal-Mart that I can add to my haunts.<
