Hey guys, I just started 3D at school last month, and one of the projects was doing a vehicle, and as with most of my school projects, they revolve around the G.I. Joe/ Cobra universe.
I did take some creative liberties, and change it up a little here and there, but overall tried to get it as close as I could to the V1 H.I.S.S. I also made up a little mountaintop cobra base to go with the vehicle. Not sure how accurate the radar dishes and cannons are, they were done off the top of my head without any reference art to go by.
Thanks for looking, any suggestions?

Yeahh...I think someone lost his marbles, with posting pictures all over the place!
Those are very awesome 3D models you made! You are very talented!

awesome - i've been working at a total redesign of the hiss, but starting with sketches. what program is that on? i've been taking computer drafting, and once i hammer out a good design, i'll be taking it to autocad.

Hey thanks guys, it was modeled in 3D studio max, and some textures in photoshop(like the skin of the tank, and the Cobra flag).
Right now we are developing our first character, then I can have the base not look like a ghost town!
hey crock master, I wish the pic wasn't so blurry, the J.U.M.P. was my Favorite small playset!

you need to start adding bump/specular/ etc mapping to your model. It will get rid of that......flatness thats inherent with 3d modeling.

Yeah, putting some panel lines on the texture and then reinforcing them with a bump or displacement map will really add to it.
It looks like there's a couple of machineguns in the nose there; and while the HISS is hardly a real-world practical design to begin with, those are pretty much useless if that's what they are.
It'll look more like a real tank and less like a toy if you give the treads and wheels some clearance from the hull. Right now it looks like they're right against the hull, and there's no way they'd be able to move.
Now all I have to do is convince you to share a .obj version of this! Or at least a .3ds, I can convert that. The only thing that reads .max is Max.
