ok I've been busy so I'm sure this has been discussed, but some one help me out. is season two of the cartoon series the end of the dvd's? I know that the DIC episodes are not part of the box set. so with the purchase of season two on dvd is this it?

if so the people who bought the box set got RIPPED OFF.

I bought the whole series for 80.00 at walmart and how much was the box set? SRP 140.00?

so the other 60.00 was for a box, flash drive, and what?

please comment on this I have to be wrong right? there must be more coming right?

I bought the boxed set from Amazon for about $90 - I wasn't going to pay $140 for it. But yes, there are only 2 seasons produced by Sunbow. Probably part of the extra cost for the box set was because they knew people would buy it to get the whole series at once rather than piecemeal as they released them 1/6 at a time.

The box set also has an exclusive bonus features disc. And everyone who got the box set got to have the DVDs many months before everyone else along with different artwork on the discs.

Like with all things, the more you wait, the cheaper it'll be. So it's not really like anyone got ripped off (especially when you factor in the fact that they said the season sets would be around $20 BEFORE the box set was sold. 4X$20 = $80 as opposed to $150 for the box set, anyone could have done the math and figured that out before anything was sold)

I believe I paid $80 or so for the boxed set from a fellow Tanker. I don't feel ripped off at all.

the only thing I feel bad about is that I don't have the kind of time it takes to see the whole thing.

I paid 100 bucks for the box set on Amazon in July (or August) of last year. It was on sale.

Were there only 4 sets at retail? I thought season 1 had 3 sets in itself - 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3. Did they put season 2 on one set?

The suggested retail pricing on the individual seasons is $29.99. So, theoretically, retail on 4 box sets would have been $120 - $20 for all the extra material that came with the set isn't bad. Both the box set and the individual sets have been on sale - the individual sets as low as $80 for all 4, the box set as low as $90, so still not a lot of difference.

If I'd had the space, I would have kept the box set myself - I ended up returning it because it was just too much.

The slim packaging of the individual seasons is what got me. Getting each set under $20 on sale was just a bonus.

alright thanks for the comments tankers. that pretty much spells it out. getting it early is a nice bonus, but as far as the bonus features go, the sets I bought came with (in total)
the PSA's (in all sets)
the 1963 toy fare presentation
"looking back" with Ron Friedman
old commercials (in all sets)
script for jungle trap
"everyday Heroes"
"Men and women of action"
"green shirts"
plus tatoos and stickers
those were spread out in all of the four sets
were there any others. I ask because I am considering selling my sets and buying the box set

thanks' :)

on a side note I WOULD buy the DIC series if they would release it.

Sad as it is, I would, too.

I hated them, but I wonder how much of it was due to my "teenage hate toy years" and not just the thought that it sucks.

Yeah, I don't have room for the footlocker box. That, and I'm getting them every few months or so alternating with Transformers. Thus far, I only have the first sets of either series though.

I've yet to buy Season 2 of Joe and Season 3&4 of Transformers myself, too many bills must be paid first, by the time I will be able to afford'em they won't be at Target or Wal*Mart anymore, so I'll have to resort to Best Buy, which always charges more for these sets...T & W*M charges $19.99, BB charges $24.99 or a little more for them...that sucks...
