Whos excited for the new Call of Duty? It's during Nam. A first for the COD franchise. The first trailer looks interesting but not enough shown. I'm going to wait and see but I really like the Nam idea. WW2 has been done to death and if there not going Modern, then Nam is the best step to take imo.

Here's a trailer:

I'll probably but it, but I am not hopefully now that IW and Activision have gone their separate ways. :(

Kind if like after Ubisoft bought out Clancy / Redstorm. :(

I'm sure someone will step up to the plate, I went from Rainbow Six, to Medal of Honor, to Call of Duty, there is no doubt in my mind there will be another (franchise to takeover that is).............

I gave up on CoD...after playing the originals on PC, tried the Treyarch version which blew, and loved MW. Skipped WoW and haven't enjoyed MW2 for nothing...just an endless supply of frustration.

I don't have high hopes for Black Ops...although the jungle warfare and underground tunnels seem like an excellent place for deathmatch.

Picked up Battlefield Bad Company 2 and I love it...something very rewarding about taking down a building with a squad of schmucks inside of it.

The PC version of MW2 is the only Call of Duty game I do not have in my collection cause its a lousy ass console port from the 360 cause IW got lazy an greedy. At least Treyarch cares bout the PC community an understands how much hurt they felt last year with MW2. I put my trust in them to meet expectations with Black Ops.

The jury's still out on Black Ops for me. I hope there's a "zombie mode" that improves upon the one from WaW. IW was made of jerks and now all their former employees are going to move on to make good games elsewhere. The game I'm looking forward to is Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. THAT is gonna be an awesome game.

I thoroughly enjoyed COD3. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I kicked major ass with it. However I regularly got my ass kicked on Modern Warefare I. However I did like MW2.

Is there a group on here that regularly mixes it up. I stop playing when too many parents allow their kids to stay up past 11, which is my gaming time.

IW really screwed the pooch with MW2. The hit recognition is worse then WaW, and nowhere near what CoD4 was. I really liked WaW for the weapons, and the fact that Treyarch really does moody environments alot better then IW. However, IW builds superior maps. I enjoy both companies games for different reasons.

That said, I'm really looking forward to this one. It'll be nice to get my digital hands on the selective fire M14, and the SKS. I hope they really up the ante with the map construction on this one. Most of the maps on WaW were almost too simple, and IW's really taken it to the next level in that department with MW2. However, I think Treyarch's ability to use both lighting and sound artistically better then IW will make this another game where you really get that "in the game" experience.

I'm really looking forward to a tunnel map, I really hope they go all out on this game.

I think the one point that is failed to be recognized is that Treyarch is not the only developer working on this title. Sledgehammer is also working on this as well, they are a newly founded development studio (Nov '09), but having a fresh look isn't always a bad thing.

This is gonna be a stupid noob question but the recent COD is the only one I have...

1. Why does it say 50% complete on the campaign mode when I stabbed that guy in the head 800 times already? Are we waiting for a patch?

2. Will Black Ops be a continuation of that storyline? Because we never did get that Russian terrorist

3. I assume there will be the same online, multiplayer stuff going on in Black Ops that we have now with COD MW?

2. No. Black ops will be set in vietnam. The story might be continued in Modern Warfare 3 if it gets made

I hope they don't copy IW's new equipment/perk set up from MW2. While it's nice that they wanted to give people tons of customization options, I think the set up in general is pretty busted. Seems like they wanted to make everything so big, so fast that they missed alot, and screwed up things that weren't really broken in the first place. Plus, I hate the way secondaries/equipment is set up now.

I think I must be in the minority too. I really enjoy MW2 (a love/hate relationship really) and have been playing it pretty much exclusively for the last several months. Are there improvements that could be made? Certainly, but I think overall it's a pretty sweet game. I borrowed MW and tried to play it a bit but it just didn't feel the same.

Treyarch Tackles Call of Duty: Black Ops Multiplayer Concerns

Treyarch has detailed their intentions for Call of Duty: Black Ops’ multiplayer. Although dedicated servers are unlikely to make their way into the console versions, the developer is hard at work on matchmaking.

In response to a Black Ops wish list from YouTube user Blame Truth, Treyarch multiplayer design director David Vonderhaar (“Vahn”) has detailed the studio’s views on a number of raised issues.

There have been numerous complaints about Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, such as its dodgy peer-to-peer matchmaking. EA’s Battlefield Bad Company 2 solves such woes with dedicated servers, but so far Activision has been reluctant to match this with Call of Duty.

This isn’t going to change any time soon as far as the console versions are concerned. However, as previously reported, PC gamers can breathe easy. Dedicated servers will make their return with Black Ops. On this issue Vohn writes:

“The cost/reward structure of dedicated servers for console games is as complicated as All Get Out. I am not talking about PC games. That’s a different, and much easier, conversation. My point is simply that, that error you think is lag is not necessarily caused by latency, and dedicated servers won’t solve every perceived error you think is lag.”

In reference to peer-to-peer hosting, Vohn explains that the studio has a number of specific ideas to improve host selection:

“Until you can build a profile/library of who is a good host and who is not, the first couple of times someone ends up host, he is going to be as good of a host as anyone else. The game can’t see into the future. His connection might have been awesome at the time host selection was made,” Vohn comments.

He adds that the studio prefers the “‘make matchmaking as fast as possible’ approach,” avoiding check box criteria that would up make the matchmaking process even slower.

As far as the ability to select multiplayer map preferences before entering matchmaking, which is reminiscent of Call of Duty 2’s options, Treyarch has apparently created a system that is “more simple and requires active participation” for Black Ops.

Weapon balance was something Call of Duty fans thought both Treyarch and Infinity Ward have got wrong. World at War’s weapons were too difficult for new players, and Modern Warfare 2’s were too easy. The studio hopes to readdress the balance in Black Ops. Vohn explains:

“Black Ops is trying to find some place between the skill of World at War weapons with the accessibility of MW2 weapons. Easy to use, difficult to master. I added a guy to my team this year, who is working on this nearly full-time. We are committed to this idea and committed to fixing what we don’t get right.”

It’s good news that Treyarch is taking so much care to listen to community feedback, with Vohn adding that Black Ops has “features that require more post-launch support than ever before.” Gamers won’t be left in the lurch.

That's part of the point. It's sloppy. Sometimes you can fire 3 feet to the left and kill someone with one shot in the leg from an Mp5, next time you can unload a half a drum from an RPD center mass on someone and get 10 hit markers and still not drop them. On hardcore. In WaW, now and then you got screwed when a shot didn't count, but this game is just an example of rushed, and sloppy mechanics.

My other gripe is that the secondary/equipment, and new perk system is broken. Somewhere in between the old system and the new one would be pretty accurate.

As far as Black Ops goes, I'm pretty pumped. While the WWII weapons are my favorite in terms of history. They are the weapons my grandfathers used. The Cold War weapons are what I'm familiar with from my time in. Seems like Treyarch has really committed themselves to trying to fix some of the problems with this game. Can't wait to see more.

Some of these issues have to be exaggerations. There are inconsistencies with shot damage but I think it might be due to lag. You'll see something but the kill cam will show something else.

Actually, i just watched the second one of these in a kill cam today. I watched a guy with an RPD turn this other guy with a SCAR into swiss cheese for atleast 3 seconds. He was taking damage, but didn't drop, fired a quick shot not even on target and dropped the guy. I've had the Mp5 issue happen to me personally, I've gotten more then a few kills that I probably shouldn't have with that gun. Ever notice how sniper rifles will hit at point blank range, and at distance, but don't work at all at about 10-20 feet away? Why is it that I can shoot someone in the toe with my .44 from 60 feet away and drop them if I fire one shot, but I need to plant 2 in their chest from 30 feet out? The game is SLOPPY. It's not lag. It's sloppy programming.

Some say IW had better maps.. I saw screw that.. it doesnt matter if the map is laid out if I spawn in front of the enemy all the time. Every game has issues. Every developer has flaws in their game.

i agree , the game feels so rushed that the netcode feels unfinished and the hit boxes are all messed up. there have been several times playing that i kill someone with a shot that im surprised i killed them, other times i empty half a clip into them a few feet away and i feel confident that ive killed them so i turn to get away and im killed by them.

although i do think it has to do with a number of factors , netcode, hit detection, lag, and poor programming.

mw2 - was one of the very few games that i really dislike , the single player felt to rushed and hectic that come the end of the game i was thinking wait what happened ? why did this guy do this and do that ? the end confused me to be honest. i felt like i just read a 2000 page book in a 5 mins.. or the guy who used to do the micro machines commercials - like he sat there in his speed voice reading the da vinci code to me then asking well did you get it ? did you ?

The entire storyline of MW2 was utterly ridiculous, you're right about that. I am intrigued by the fact that a different company is making it, though Treyarch's track record doesn't fill me with confidence. As always, I'll wait for reviews to filter in before plunking down $60.

I'm not a Treyarch, or an IW hater. Both companies do different aspects of the game well, imo. World at War is actually my favorite game of all of them. It definitely had it's problems, but it was a real challenge and alot of fun. I try to view the whole series as an ongoing evolution. Somethings are steps forward, some are steps back.

I think IW really stepped up the game in map design in MW2, however, while the insane amount of customization you can achieve in it is cool, I think both the perk and secondary/equipment sections of multiplayer had ALOT of misses in them. Treyarch in WaW built off of what IW had already done, but small touches like deployable bipods were awesome. Plus I think Treyarch does a much better job artistically with the visual feel of the game. MW2 I felt in terms of visual artistry was a step back from CoD4. Gone are the maps like Wetwork, and Downpour that made you FEEL like you were really there. You strained your eyes, and could almost smell and feel the rain. Treyarch EXCELS at this, especially coupling it with background sounds.

Trooper13
05-29-2010, 09:36 PM
From what Monkeywrench's link hints at, there's a more modern mission. I've heard somewhere that it involves the Ural Mountains. Then there's also the Vietnam mission. It's been hinted that there's some sort of time travel element to it. Not sure how I feel about that, but since I'm more into multiplayer it won't kill the game for me.

Supposedly this all takes place during the Cold War, or so they've said. So I'm guessing late 80's, early 90's, right before the fall of communism for the more modern mission, and obviously somewhere in the Vietnam era for the earlier. The article mentions Hue, so that hints at the Tet offensive.

This is all just speculation from articles I've read, and things gleamed from press releases.

I'd prefer that aswell. Not that I'd turn my nose up at a Cold War game. I'd love a CoD with a more espionage feel. CIA, KGB ect. Could be a blast. However, Vietnam deserves a whole game, atleast. It seems a shame to cut into it with some sci-fi nonsense.

agreed on both points. It sounds like the game takes place in modern times but the have "time travel" or flashbacks to nam and the cold war. We'll see.

I haven't played Modern Warfare 2 in over 2 months. I used to love playing it with fellow Tankers, but after awhile the game was beginning to be ruined by hackers.

Oh well I guess that eventually happens with these online games.

I'm not really looking forward to Black Ops because I feel that the same thing will happen.

It comes and goes. The modern games seem to get alot more of it as all the kids seem to like those more. You can still find clowns with a lag switch, or a modded controller on WaW, but it's pretty few and far between. Most of the people I've played with on WaW on the off chance I put it in have actually been really cool and play the game because they truly enjoy it.

Good point. From the SE/SS/Stalker origin story, to the later sci-fi tinged black ops story this is the closest to Joe we've seen. The multiplayer will likely be very easy to imagine yourself as your favorite Joe.

Someone in this thread said that they enjoyed World at War cause of Sgt. Reznov? WELL GUESS WHAT!!! HE'S BBBBBBAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AG: So there's a very rich and deep history to the Call of Duty lineage. Is there a chance that we might see characters or events from any of the most recent games crop up in Black Ops? A lot of the characters from Modern Warfare 1 and 2 are old-school guys who could have been around or involved in events you're touching on here.

Josh: Well I can tell you - and again, not to spoil the game - there is one character from World at War who is going to make a return, and that's Reznov. But I don't want to tell you what capacity he works in our game, but he has a pretty big part and the players who experienced World at War are going to recognise him. But that's all I can really disclose right now and believe me, I would love to tell you about the whole game but I just don't want to spoil that experience because this story is just so rich and deep.

Treyarch made MW:Reflex for the Wii which is my only experience with the CoD franchise.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game (I am not a big gamer) and I look forward to the release of Black Ops. The fact that it is set during the 'Nam era really appeals to me. I am not fussed that it will have some modern elements to it

Multiplayer Rumours Arise

Leaked Multiplayer information apparently leaked

So far the only solid details about Black Ops have concerned the Single Player section of the game, but a 'inside source' has now apparently leaked information about the anticipated Multiplayer.

Lets face it, the majority of us buy Call of Duty for the Multiplayer, right? Therefore, it's only reasonable that many are already calling for some Multiplayer details to be announced. A member on the official Call of Duty: Black Ops forums » has posted a few details on Black Ops' multiplayer after listening to a podcast who had contact with a 'inside source'.

Black Ops Multiplayer Rumors

Painkill Already » were allegedly contacted by someone asking if he wanted a beta code for a new game but it was then found out that he is an insider and they could tell he certainly worked in the industry from the look of his email. Here is a brief summary of the details revealed in the podcast, thanks to SargeIsInCharge »

1. You only get two perks in multliplayer, and this combination of perks determines your third perk.
2. There is a new armour system, e.g. Cold-Blooded and juggernaut are armours you can wear (not much detail given on this).
3. The FAMAS returns, but is no longer a 3-round burst weapon. Instead it is full-auto.
4. There is no M4. Instead another new gun mentioned seems like it will take its place, the SIG Commando.
5. Other new weapons confirmed include the RPK, Skorpion and MAC11.
6. There is no commando perk. (:])
7. The scavenger perk is included, but no longer replenishes equipment.
8. The One man army perk is also not included.
9. The highest killstreak reward (at this time in development) is 15.
10. There is no emergency airdrop, but there is a care package.
11. As confirmed before, killstreaks will not stack. For instance, if you get a 5 kills without dying and receive your killstreak reward, the kills you get with that killstreak reward will not count towards your next killsreak (e.g. 7 kill killsteak). You will have to get two more kills, in that instance, by other means to receive your next killstreak.
12. You can sprint to prone in the current build of the game. Basically this means you can dive straight on your belly after sprinting, instead of having to stop, crouch and than go prone.
13. The tactical knife is gone, while a new knife is being introduced: the ballistic knife. This is a knife that has a spring that can shoot a blade (in real life, not necessarily in the game).
14. The claymore is a piece of equipment, and you only get 1 per life.
15. Grenades are not considered equipment, and replenished by scavenger.
16. The M16 is in the game, and still a powerful weapon. (Or as Woody puts it, still the ****!)
17. The PSG1 sniper rifle is in the game.
18. UAV, airstrike and 3 types of helicopters are back as killstreaks. The Pave Low is confirmed as well, and has a feature unique to the game.
19. The SR-71 plane is also one of the killstreak rewards.

Remember that this is not official and do not believe anything unless confirmed by Treyarch or Activision. Is this true? My personal opinion is no. Why? It's so hard nowadays to be a insider and leaking information without the fear of being fired or sued. But then again, the rumours before the game was even announced have so far been true. JD 2020 » has recently said to wait for the coming weeks and months for all our multiplayer news.

Thanks to 'But you will.... you will' (nice flashback username!) on our forums » for the heads up!

It's E3 this week and Black Ops will certainly be there so stay tuned as we bring you the latest news when it happens. Will we see the same gameplay footage the press and community members were recently shown? Or will we receive news and possibly a glimpse of multiplayer or co-op? Time will tell!

I'm hoping half of this is BS. I was really looking forward to seeing alot of the cold war era weapons, and how much of the tech lies somewhere in between WWII and Modern Era. In this game we should be seeing the M14, the SKS, the return of the M60 and the RPD, the AK, the M16, satchel charges, the M203, the Springfield would still be in service as a sniper rifle, claymores, etc.

Also, while I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now on the new perk/equipment system, I'm thinking this is going to be a change for change's sake situation. I think they are scared to stay true to the old format because of the new MW2 "advancements" in that area, which I feel mostly sucked, HARD. So they feel pressured to change the system, but don't want to take flak for ripping off IW again, so they drummed up some other half assed system.

I'm really hoping they do something killer with this opportunity, but this information doesn't seem to be pointing in that direction.

Oh I know, You did a really good job of giving the heads up that this could be partially, or totally BS. However, when it comes to things like this I've realized that alot of rumours have some basis in truth. So I think we'll definitely see a new perk/equipment set up, different from both the older model, and the current MW2. They could have finally figured out the best way to do it, however if this is accurate and your first two perks determine your third, i think we're going to get a different crappy version of the nonsense IW pulled with their perk system.

I think we'll see non-stacking streaks. While I'm okay with killstreaks rewards not adding into your total, I'm not cool with going back to the old method of "use it, or lose it". That was straight up BS. I can't tell you how many times I wasted Recon Planes, or Artillery in WaW because I came around a corner and ran smack into 4 enemies. If I kill all 4 I lose the recon I didn't get to call in, and my artillery. If I don't, I'm dead, and I have to start all over. You should be able to reserve your killstreak rewards, just not have them add to your killstreak total. You earned those "favors" from the chain of command, and your squad should be able to use them when they need them.

In the end, I don't want to see Treyarch do a modern game, I want to see them full force tackle the Cold War. It's such a fertile ground for stories, locales, and awesome gear.

At the beginning of each project, the team at Treyarch digs in and goes to work on engine enhancements with a focus on supporting the demands of the new environments and gameplay for our next title. For Black Ops, it was important to the team to have incredible photo-realistic lighting, huge draw distances, explosive destruction and effects, and mind-blowing character details.

We completely re-tooled the lighting system from soup to nuts, integrated texture streaming which makes levels like “Payback” possible, and provided our artists the tools and platform they needed to create stunning characters with detail down to their pores! We also went big overhauling the physics, jungle, water, and fire tech – the list goes on and on. You can see what we’re talking about from our gallery, but no screenshot even comes close to what you’ll be experiencing November 9th 2010!

Ok I got the go ahead from my comrades at Total Gaming Network soooooooooo here it is y'all:

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Multiplayer Facts

Based on the recent Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer event held in Los Angeles, a slew of new information was revealed to the entire world. The news came hard and fast on Twitter from those that were at the event, including TGN's own [MyIS]Crrrazzzy.

We just wanted to take the time and compile all of the information into one neat and (hopefully) easy to read article for everybody.

General
- Player ranks will go up to 50
- "Compete, Customize, Create"
-- Treyarch said that reaching rank 50 will take about as much time as reaching 65 in World at War

-- No word on how many Prestige levels there may be
- The killcam is back for the end of the game, now called the "Final Killcam"
- Scoreboard will show your kills to deaths ratio

-- Earned through kills, wins, having a good K/D ratio, Wager Mode winnings
-- Flamethrower attachment is 750 points

-- Begin with a knife
-- Killing your opponents will automatically unlock a higher tiered weapon to use up to tier 20

I know some people dislike them, but I like Treyarch. I was really dissapointed with MW2 and told myself I wouldn't buy the next one, but BO looks cool with all the new features.

And for those who are excited about Vietnam, I think it's actually a wide variety of Cold War missions, not just Vietnam. Theres also a Vietnam BFBC2 add on coming this fall.

Also, super-hooray for M-14 in game!

I picked it up, I think its pretty cool. The car has a camera and a mic that transmits sound and video to the controller. It supposedly has a distance of 200 ft. Its a little difficult to drive using the camera but I think its worth it. If your looking for a high speed off road one tis isn't it.

he definitly wants black ops, but also wanted the ''spygear'' r/c camera car, its cool its also 119.00, figured this would kill 2 birds with 1 stone, and save a little change

Man, Treyarch needs to get on the ball. The PS3 patches that they've tried to make have made the game worse. I tried to play for an hour and got into 2 full games, 3 disconnected games, several error msgs and the PS3 froze twice as a result. Yikes...

The forums are amusing. The reaction to this from the gamers is the equivalent to a group of scalpers buying up all the Shock Troopers. People are loosing their minds! Kinda funny.

I bet PS3 dlc will come out a month later.

With just the one-word title to go on, any guesses as to what zombie "Ascenion" will be about?

when i first got my COD Black Ops, I couldn't put the controller down.

i got a twitchy left eye for a couple of days because i was so zoned into the game.

i was telling my lady last night that COD should have a version of the game where you can go into the Favelas (ghettos) in Brazil and Trenchtown, Jamaica. soundtrack would be awesome and the graphics would be to die for.

if you guys get a chance, rent the foreign film 'Elite Squad' - made in Brazil. it makes 'City of God' look like Sesame Street. you'll know what i'm talking about when i say the Favelas would be an ideal location for COD.

The campaign mode of MOH is GREAT imo , but the multiplayer to me is subpar. Not enough classes , guns , killstreaks are what real life would be like but lets be honest this is a video game and i want something more than mortars.I still play it but it cause if you want to imagine what real combat would be like , i imagine this is is , but for pure FUN COD all the way !

Ok for the record, sub machines..especially the MAC 10 suck nuts.

You know when I used them? Back in MW2 I would dual wield and marathon in something like Rust.....but in Black Ops I have yet to find a map where a Sub Machine Gun was worth a frig.

Haven't opened the Gali yet as I'm only a 19 but the M16 with ACOG and a Python for a sidearm has been a very nice set up on almost any map.

Sorrel_Park

I find that using submachine guns with Light Weight, Slight of Hand and Marathon with Extended Mags is a good class set up. The Mac10 is actually a pretty good sub, but it's clip is so small I'm constantly reloading. Though I agree that most subs are fairly challenging to use -- I hardly touch the MPL or PM63 and never use the Uzi or Skorpion.

Some of my friends will throw Rapid Fire on them, but I prefer Extended Mags since you run through the bullets so quickly.

Galil is a good assault rifle. I prefer Commando. I wish the M16 was more like the M16 in Modern Warfare -- it takes 3 bursts to kill on BO vs. 2 bursts on COD4 without Stopping Power. With Stopping Power the M16 on COD4 rocked. I might try it with the ACOG tho.

IMO, the only SMG worth a crap is the AK-74U, seeing as it's an Assault Rifle they mistakenly classified as a SMG, and the Spectre, because of the nostalgia of GoldenEye that I associate with it, although it's a fairly decent weapon on its own- I only use it in local/friend matches, though.

Also, Sniper Rifles suck. Possibly the definition of new user-unfriendly. I'll just stick with a M14 or FAL, thank you.

Trooper13

I was really let down by some of the weapon choices in this game. The submachine guns are a little thin, however the Cold War was the era of the Assault Rifle.

The Skorpion is my favorite actual SMG for a rushing class, hardened really helps. The 74u is awesome for my silent defending class on Hardcore S&D. Ghost, a surpressor, and some C4 and it's a party.

As far as LMG's go I've been rockin' the M60 alot. I miss my old girl from my time in the service. I like the RPK, but I prefer the RPD, so it's absense has been kind of depressing.

The Sniper Rifles are really a let down. I would have loved to have seen the 1903A3 have been the classified rifle. The Dragunov is a great rifle, but even though the round it fires is sniper class, the rifling and barrel length really limit it's performance. It's really the only one I get along with in the game, though.

The AR selection is always a let down for me. First, the lack of selective fire on them is ridiculous. They are AR's after all. The M16 should have been the A1. It's still accurate, but weak. The 47 is still a thing of beauty. The M14 is definitely my favorite, though. Give me an M14 with a 203 any day.

As far as the pistols go, I love the 1911. I carried one as my sidearm in the service and it's a great piece. I was surprised however how much I really love the Makarov. It's a really nasty piece of work.

I stayed away from the shotties for awhile. Nothing has replaced the 1897 from W@W for me. It was a thing of beauty. However I really dig the Benelli. (olympia) I use it for CQB rushing. Lightweight, Sleight of Hand, and Marathon Pro. People get all whiney when you come wheeling around a corner and blow their heads off while they are trying to sight in on you. lol

All in all it's not a bad game. Somethings are better then MW2, some are worse. Both were kind of a let down for me. I miss W@W and CoD4.

I'm not a "gun guy" per se but I am a logic guy...and weak is an understatement. Good thing I'm not a douche who can't laugh it off because there has been NUMEROUS times I shot first with direct hits from short distance with that M16 and got nowhere, except killed.

Apparently 1980's ninja movie craziness is still alive and well in Black Ops...where you can apparently run through M16 bursts to skewer the shooter point blank.

Honestly, the damage on these games is ridiculously inaccurate. For instance, the damage for the FAL, M14, and M60 are all different. Yet, they all fire the EXACT same round. It's ridiculous that you can shoot someone once in the foot with an FAL and drop them, but pump 10 rounds into someone center mass with an M60 and they laugh it off.

And it only works for the other guy, 'coz every time I try it I get mowed down by an Uzi, but whenever someone tries it on ME, I can empty an entire FAMAS magazine into the sheepfucker and get a knife to the face for my trouble, while the knifing rat bastard keeps going like the energizer rabbit!

Wait. So all of those maps are for the Multiplayer online? Or is one of them for the Zombie feature? It'd be a freakin' waste if Discovery isn't playable in regular online. Otherwise, Berlin Wall looks like a blast, and Kowloon should be fun for picking off people on the ziplines. While I was actually most stoked for Stadium before this, it's actually the level I like the least after the walk through. It looks boring visually.

I've really enjoyed the zombies mode a great deal. Got to level 22 on Kino Der Toten, and level 44 on Five. Looking forward to Ascension and I hope that eventually they will allow us a crack at the Prestige and Hardened version of Der Reise and the others.

As for ammo, you can refill by buying it off the same point on the wall you purchased the gun from. If you bought a weapon from the mystery box, then you can only refill from and Max Ammo drop. Same for mystery box weapons that have been Pack-A-Punched. You can refill Pack-A-Punched wall weapons from their wall spawn points, but it is more expensive.

The best weapons in the game are the Mustang & Sally pair, Dr. Porter's X2 Ray Gun, the Zeus Cannon, and the upgraded Freeze Gun.

I had an epiphany earlier today when I was in the middle of a round of TDM.

"I don't think I enjoy this game."

Maybe It's the fact that I usually have a death count three times that of my kill count (on a good match). Maybe it's the trash-talking 12-year-olds whose level I refuse to stoop to. Maybe it's the fact that I simply... suck. Either way, shortly afterwards I popped in Reach and found myself having a much better time.

I have nothing against CoD, Treyarch, or Infinity Ward, but in all my experiences with the multiplayer, I always found something lacking somehow. I dunno. But I think it's time for me to retire from the world of Black Ops.

But this game has forever cemented my love for the FAMAS.
