well i got my duke on tuesday , i was very excited to get home and open up the shipping box and look him over.. box was damaged , corner was badly crumpled (shipping box) but when i opened the box the styrofoam protectors kept the duke box in perfect condition. but when i turned over to look at the back i noticed the back of the box was bent over... i was pretty pissed, up until now ive have had zero problems with SS everything has always come perfect.. figure is still sealed in the plastic he came in , i havent removed him yet
im worried only bc IF i go to sell the figure it might hurt the sale and i would have to take a hit on the figure . and its the exclusive version.. see pic for damage .. id have to list the figure as damaged
anyone have any recommendations as to "what" i should do ? and has anyone ever had to deal with SS customer service ? if so what was the outcome

The packaging is damaged? Why is this a concern? You said you haven't taken him out of the package yet. Does it matter if the package is damaged if you are going to remove the figure?
If you ordered and payed for or were offered a mint in mint package item, then you should contact the company and try to have it replaced. But if there was no direct (not implied) offer of perfect package condition, then you have no recourse.
It sounds like the problem is with the postal services lack of care for your package, in which case the company you bought from might refuse to replace it.
I say take it on the chin, if you were planning on opening it, anyway.

the box is damaged , when i removed the styrofoam protectors the box that houses the figure is damaged (see picture) ... like buying a carded figure and the corner is bent.
the UPS box that it came in is damaged i dont care about that , the styrofoam protected the corners of the figure... this looks like damage from factory(or sideshow) when the styrofoam protectors were put on it folded back part of the figure box, so now the figure is not in a mint box. iwill just contact sideshow

Call SS, only way you are going to know.
God knows they charge enough for those things, they ought to make it right for you.

With the PP they have on their products they better make it right. It's like buying a high end LCD TV and a day later it has dead pixels.....lol.

Call customer service. They will replace the box. They have the best customer service. They have replaced 5 damaged boxes for me over the years. Send images to a rep. Also, if a package is damaged when it arrives, dont accept it or make a note on the ups form that the box is damaged.

Yeah SS customer service is famous for being incredibly reasonable and helpful. A guy in another thread just got a new helmet sent to him because the strap broke.
It shouldn't be a problem.

I agree with the good reviews for Customer Service. As long as you are withing the 30 days they will take care of you. I had a broken leg on my Cobra Sniper and I sent it back and had a brand new one shipped to me the next week.

They replaced a damaged box for me once also... problem was, each subsequent box that came was damaged worse than the original.

Well, that certainly seems to solve the problem, right? Are you satisfied with how they handled that?

Yeah, just call customer service. They will send you a new box w/ exclusive sticker. Had to do that before.
One thing though, not sure why someone would flame you (which was not needed). If I spend 100 plus I want a mint box.

different persons have different opnions on the products they buy, most of them want something they paid for in tip top conditions and everything perfect ie. paint jobs.
For me, i don't really care about toy boxes. Just give me my damn toy!
