I saw in the TMNT thread that Hicks_Royel mentioned BBTS has the new Scud figure from Shocker Toys on preorder. So I tried to get some more info on who else was selling the toys and how I might be able to get the Sol model (He's the variant unfortunately) I didn't find anyone selling them (Even Shocker Toys themselves) yet except for BBTS but I did find a bunch of info I didn't know about!

Scud comics have been back since March!!!!! Rob Schrab started up the final 4 issues of the series (The comic ended on a cliffhanger back in issue #20 years ago) The last issue, #24 is due out soon and in July or so, there is gonna be a HUGE trade paperback that has ALL 24 issues in it!!!!

Shocker Toys has a Scud exclusive for sale right now for NYCC. It's a 7" tall pre-posed prototype/first shot for the 6" figure mentioned above. Apparently the plastic used for the testshot was too fragile for articulation and rather than scrap all 400 of these, they're selling them. $30 for attendees, $40 for non attendees to the New York Comic Con

On a side note I also noticed that Shocker Toys named off the figures for Wave 2 of their Indie Spotlight line. Included in that line is King Zombie from the comic Deadworld!!!! (I'm already prepared to be the only person on this forum to even know who that is, just know I'm very excited about this news. As much as I was when I heard about Trubble Bubbles being released for 25th Joes for the first time :) )

Here's the product listing on Shocker Toys for their Indie Spotlight (http://www.shockertoys.com/products.php#is)figures

Yeah, I'd imagine that the Sol variant, since it's suppose to be part of the case assortment, will be listed on BBTS once they know what they have. I'd really like to see a Drywall too. I'm probably on of ten guys that bought the Scud game for the Saturn.

Hah Metalocalypse figures...

Wonder if Shocker will ever get a chance at bringing the Tick back.

Hey Shogi, I know who King Zombie is. Deadworld is one of my favorite comics. I have some gaps in my collection I kneed to fill so I can re-read the story from the start.

Whoo Hoo! I'm not alone!!! :)

I still need one more comic to be complete (Sorta, I don't have all the different covers from the Arrow comics) Have you been reading any of the new stuff?

Shouldn't be too hard to find, they've been out for a year or two but it's been really slow :) Like 2-3 issues a year. And they've changed publishers already, now I think "Desperado" or someone like that is making them

Don't hold your breath on these. I don't think they will ever be released.

Do NOT pre-order from Shocker Toys!
They accept payment for pre-orders and just keep pushing the date back for release.

Just google them and look at their history for all you need to know.
Wait for the figures to be released before buying. These guys are shady.

They are a small company as 5cythe pointed out a while back and they've suffered a lot of factory issues with this line as you can read on their site here (http://www.shockertoys.com/news.php?article=27&story=Indie-Spotlight-comic-book-heroes-series1-leaves-factory!). Personally, I still trust them and I can see why they need to have the money first. Being a small company they probably don't have the same spare capital bigger companies have to be able to make a whole line of toys. (On a side note, I like it when pre-orders take my money up front. Most of the time when I pre-order something, by the time the item finally shows up, I no longer have the money for it)

Thanks Shogi,
I wish more people who like Indie Spotlight would stand up to these cyberbullies/trolls whos only goal is to derail a toyline. They spend all day making up lies going from forum to forum to try and kill our company and ideas. There is new final pics up on the forums and website. Thanks for the support.

Cyber Bully? Troll? What did I say that undermines your company?

I told to them to check the history of your company in Google.
And I said wait until the product comes out to order it.

If that undermines you, how is that my fault? And how do you even think you know who I am? This is my first post here! Yeesh!

Are you saying that you HAVEN'T had any issues with pre-orders in the past? Are you saying that it is perfectly acceptable to accept money for a product 3 years before it hits the shelves?

Sorry if that stuff bothers you but none of that is my doing. I never told anyone that they shouldn't buy them, just to wait and see if they actually come out before they give you money.

What is wrong with that? Considering your history I would think you would understand.

Play nicely everyone

I did a google search and only found one website that had anything negative to say about Shocker Toys. Also everything I saw them complain about I've also seen adressed by Shocker Toys on their site.

That said, I still stand by what I last posted and I would like to keep this thread on track concerning the Scud Action Figure

Hey that's fine. I just was a tossing out a friendly warning to people, as I had been wanting their Scud figure for several years now. After recently reading that they have been accepting payment for pre-orders without having shipped figures for well over what is legally allowed I thought people should hear a bit of "caveat emptor."
I'm not part of any organization or whatever he is talking about.

I'm here to find info on the GI Joe movie and saw a Scud thread, that's all. His accusations rubbed me the wrong way, sorry. I'll just add him to my ignore list and move on.
